    Great Video Bradley.
    I have one of these Blasterfy Scars and compared it to the BlasterTech with two identical Omega Kit Zeus's on Gen3 Workers.
    I got an fps boost when I installed this Blasterfy to either Zeus, over the BlasterTech Scar. On each blaster it gained roughly 15fps boost, bumping both blasters up to just over 300fps, which breaks the FPS caps most of the clubs here have. I solved this problem by shortening the barrel length from 35cm to 32.5cm and this got them back to an average of 285+fps but never going over 300fps. The BlasterTech averaged 263+fps.
    At 30m there was not a huge difference in accuracy, but when you start looking at longer ranges like 50-60m the Blasterfy Scar definately out performs the BlasterTech with its accuracy and range. My maximum range with lob shots with the BlasterTech scar is around 80m/262f, but with the Blasterfy scar, I am now able to get to 110m/360f and its still a straight shot.
    I tested this at a soccer club that was marked up fro a Gridiron game in yards and how I love to do conversions, so here I go...
    The BlasterTech was averageing around 55 yards/50m on flat shots, into a 10-15 km head wind on the day on either Zeus.
    The Blasterfy was averaging 82 yards/74m on flat shots on either blaster into the same head wind.
    I put the difference down to the way the Scars are made. I measured the inner diameter of both and they have the same diameter for the dart to pass through. The BlasterTech is printed and the dart has to move through the Scar against the print grain and the fishing line causing additional friction, where as the Blasterfy is a completely smooth and polished allowing the dart to exit more easily and allows the fishing line to do its job better.
    I will be running the Blasterfy Scar on my Zeus loadout from now on as I believe from my testing, that it is superior to the BlasterTech and adds to extending the range and accuracy of your blaster, and its tough as hell, it wont break like a printed scar can.
    Its a True Sniper Scar Barrel!

      I hadn't really considered the lower friction from the aluminum compared to a print grain but that makes sense. I've experienced similar differences going from 3D printed rifling like Accuratio to string based rifling like Blastertech. 3D printed plastic is not an ideal material for barrels.

    I’m outside Australia, and shipping is extremely expensive, so this is the price plus shipping. BlasterTECH charges decent shipping prices, so I’ll probably going to stick with them. And also their SCAR performs well. I’ll stick with them :)

      My guess is metal rifling may cut into the foam too much but it could be worth a shot

    • @SirBrass
      @SirBrass 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BradleyPhillipsYT that's most likely correct. Small arms and artillery rifling works by actually cutting into the round (either lead or some kind of metal) and that cut combined with the high heat and pressure forms a seal and cuts the track into the round, and the gas pressure drives the round.
      With softer materials for sport, that's just not an option. We can't afford to have those levels of forces occuring in our hobby grade tools, not only because they won't withstand them without significantly increased cost, but because of the injury such a projectile would do, not to mention the dart, gel ball, airsoft BB, or paintball simply wouldn't survive.
      So, we've had to go back to the drawing board on ways to induce rifling spin and here's what we've got for elongated projectiles (hop ups are an option only for spheroid projectiles).

    • @BradleyPhillipsYT
      @BradleyPhillipsYT  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Fdl and other flywheel operation blasters do not have the accuracy of a spring powered or air powered blaster so it's up to you whether you want rate of fire or precision.

    • @the_yesnt1358
      @the_yesnt1358 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bradley Phillips Thanks for replying so fast. One more question is the rate of fire of the caliburn fast enough for a relitavley close fight. Do you recommend a secondary. I’m thinking of getting the SPAMF kit.

    • @BradleyPhillipsYT
      @BradleyPhillipsYT  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      In a close fight you're going to want to make sure you don't miss your first shot otherwise you'll get lit up basically. But your instant trigger pull does give you a response time advantage over flywheels if you don't miss.

    • @the_yesnt1358
