Can confirm, that BCAR works great at the lower FPS or my LongXshot, hit a doorknob 3 times in a row at about 10-12 meters ;) (for anyone other than Brad, I bought the BCAR off him when he was done with it I guess :P )
@MrFreefonix420 yeah, it's definitely the bcar. Did some testing yesterday with my 300 fps xshot Longshot, and bcar induced more spin than the PCAR. Actually, the PCAR performed better in my Longshot vs the BCAR
I’m still impressed that the nexus pro X comes with both and the whole package is $50. That basically makes the blaster and all the accessories $30 which is cheaper than the X shot long shot. I’m curious what the performance of the BCAR will be around 200 fps, or if the PCAR is just the way to go all around. Edit: Good to see from other comments that the BCAR is good around 150 fps. Maybe I’ll replace the feisty o-ring on my long shot.
The pro x included bcar has plastic bearings instead of the metal ones in the sold seperately one though! The plastic ones should theoretically be less smooth and wear out faster.
The bcar is ideal for the Xshot longshot (the irony) and standard dart zone products like teh nexus or the dictator. It looks too goofy on any barrel extended blaster.
Great informative video as usual! Editing question: what do you use to overlay the "hit location" dots into the accuracy/targeting parts of your footage?
Also X-shot Longshot unmodded did worse on a shorter range where bullseyes are every other shot on an aluminum can and even a 1/8 " string dangling a broken RIVAL Saturn target piece - it is actually best without any barrel attachment at all (snub nosed)
I really want the twin pack coz I'm running both lower spring Aeon & stock Nexus pro . Consider here in Malaysia still doesn't have Xshot longshot or Stryfe X , i bet we also need to wait forever to get one of this .... or worse , never . The only "new" blaster that we got was Rival Challenger .
Hi Brad. I was wondering if you could review a tar-21 or something like that. It would be a change from an m4 or ar15 and i think it would be fun. This is just a recommendation and if you can't than that's perfectly fine. I hope this was a good recommendation.
Thanks! Morę I Play NERF morę I realize you have to get dedicated products for better performance. PCAR and BCAR from dart zone are great with their 150FPS blasters. Their rifling with their darts gives really good effects.
@@AudieS23 yes. Due to friction. BCAR just limits friction by a lot. PCAR dropping velocity CAN be a good thing if You want to drop Your FPS a bit for Your game but I like BCAR better myself. Good thing is You get both!
I was hoping you’d know the angles of twist for both the SCARs especially the BCAR but based off the accuracy results at 300fps it gives at least a ball park. Just curious, have you ever tried the Worker basic 4 lined PCAR on this same setup? Sub 200fps it works well especially for its price but I wonder if it’s enough rifling for like past 220fps. As usual great vid too. btw, you’re one of my favorite reviewers atm and definitely my favorite for 220+fps blasters and higher end stuff for nerf. Or at least high end for a college student
What is more important though is the transfer of spin which involves multiple variables. PCARs tend to impart less spin than a BCAR for example. And some BCARs are tighter on the darts while some are looser.
@@BradleyPhillipsYTjeez that’s aggressive. Most 12 bearing bcars I see are under 10 degrees. It looked similarly as aggressive as my worker 15 degree bcar so that was my guess.
@@BradleyPhillipsYThm ok. I’m assuming the worker basic 4 lined pcar is probably better for sub 180-200fps while the dz 6 lined one should be better past that (assuming we’re only talking pcars here) Worker makes 8 and 12 lined pcars both with 2 lengths and while the 12 lined one performed well it broke after just a drop from the table. If you have spare time a battle of the PCARs would be interesting. Despite not being the best performing their price and simplicity still warrants them a place in the nerfing hobby. Plus with on shorter barrels and higher spring setups they help boost fps while maintaining more compact length.
@@anvu27257measuring a 3D shape with a 2D protractor is a little inaccurate. It could very well be a 15 degree BCAR. Back in the day I broke quite a few Worker PCARs just attaching them to a barrel, they're definitely a lot thinner than this Dart Zone one.
Thanks for the review, I'm going to stick with my Worker PCAR. It works great and has the added ability to fire NERF MEGA XL darts like a spigot mortar.
One benefit I will say the Dart Zone PCAR has over the Worker one is thickness. I have broken a few Worker ones over the years from it cracking when pushing onto or removing from barrels.

Thanks mate - great to know what works best as we ascend above usual play into the 200 - 300+ fps ranges
I'm yet to upload my testing, be nice to see what you think of these peices, cheers Milos Mods for sending them out!
One of these was very good, the other had too much spin for the velocity I use. 😉
@BradleyPhillipsYT Bet its the PCAR
@TehExecutioner24 I know its the Bcar lol
@MrFreefonix420 yeah, it's definitely the bcar. Did some testing yesterday with my 300 fps xshot Longshot, and bcar induced more spin than the PCAR. Actually, the PCAR performed better in my Longshot vs the BCAR
@BradleyPhillipsYT the bcar max out at 250, but the pcar can handle higher velocity

Hey Brad! If possible, could you compare GavinFuzzy BCAR to Eli Wu’s Andromeda BCAR? Many thanks and great video.
Another very well made video 👌 What spring and shoulder stock you using on your apex here?
14kg spring and it's just a generic M4 Airsoft buttstock.
Great vid bro

Could you be convinced to do a test to see what the best BCAR for lower power and mid power

Editing question: what do you use to overlay the "hit location" dots into the accuracy/targeting parts of your footage?
The dots are individual PNG files I made and just add each to a track in Premiere Pro as they happen
@@BradleyPhillipsYT Right, gotcha 👍Thanks!
So you end up "stacking" a group of dots on separate tracks?
Do you still have your orange Nexus Pro, Bradley? Would be nice to test out with the attachments.

Hello, I have a Worker Seegull with 160 FPS. How many degrees would you recommend for a bcar? Is 8 degrees enough? Greetings
I'd probably look at more of a 15 degree like this Dart Zone BCAR
F&A all the way 👍
Pronouning that is indistinguishable from “effin’ A”…. 😂
What I want to know is what’s the lowest FPS these will work on.
How do you get 300 fps out of the apex? What spring/barrel are you using?
580mm barrel with 14kg spring
@@BradleyPhillipsYT did you cut down a sabre barrel?
@@lupore4367 sorry meant 580mm. The stock Apex Prime barrel.
how dose the flag an armour bcar go on the milsig?
About the same but a little less consistent since the Milsig is a little less consistent with its velocity
What is the best angle for 250-300 fps?
Usually 8 degrees or less
What optic do you use for all of your blaster testing?
This is a Holosun HS506

The BCAR is approximately a 20 degree using a protractor. The PCAR from memory uses 8 rifling segments so would have a 45 degree turn to each of them.
