If stringing your own scar sounds difficult to do, BlasterTech actually have an instructional video showing how to do it with theirs. th-cam.com/video/JG1ht0G2NuU/w-d-xo.html
And on the note about returning the scar to zero for storage: that doesn't work because as you adjust to higher twist rates, it's pulling back on the spindle part at the front and therefore undoes some of your tension anyway. That nub does not have enough tension to hold the string, and nylon isnt elastic enough to go back and fourth like that. This is an inherent problem with attempting to add every string individually for the aesthetic of not having them exposed on the outside. You should be stringing them continuously in one strand so the turns scale with the tension. That preserves tension at every setting and is less likely to be undone. No need to unturn before storage.
Hi Thanhtacles. Its does work. At zero (straight) the strings have slight tension on them as they are strung up initially. Once the front tip is turned the strings turn on a angle and they are pulled over a longer length, from this the strings are stretched/tensioned more.
^yeah but if you wanted to go from a max tension setting, to a lower one, you lose maximum tension, whereas continuous stringing gives you better adjustability retention. With a single continuous string tied/locked in place, it will never lose any amount of tension; not from twisting nor over time. And it's also much easier to do. when doing strings individually, the least you can do is at least tie a knot to lock tension instead of just wrapping each string in place around a nub.
Not really. Its tensioned when straight, turning it just tensions it more. Any setting is adequate tension. I'd just recommend not going any more than 1/4 turn. Stringing this MkII scar is very easy as you can see in the vid.
J yang, I'm going to use the go pro from now on like in this video so it will definitely work. It'll be wide angle enough I can always see the target in it even when I angle my shots.
Having just found your channel in the last couple weeks. I gotta say I love your videos and want to make a nerf sniper that I can do this with. Keep up the great work. I find your videos very helpful. Thanks.
Bradley Phillips I honestly dont know. I even looked up getting the xzeus shell. But they are sold out. So either a long shot or a long strike seems preferable.
Would be good if you can test other aspects too. Such as, what's the fps change with the various degrees of twist? For a fixed twist, how does fps and accuracy differ between the 6-string SCAR barrel and other 5 or 4 string barrels that you have tested previously? Does this SCAR barrel work as well in lower power setups? What about in conjunction with other darts, such as the Prototype darts that you previously tested?
Liang Weihao, haven't tried with lower fps yet but I will in future. As for testing with prototype darts, why would you shoot such a hard tip at someone?
Hello! I have a nexus pro with full worker kit internals and barrel.. What size would I go with on their website? Any idea? I'm not sure what the size of the worker aluminium barrel is.. Thanks for any help
It doesn't seem like your Prime is very hard to pull back at all, how are you making it so easy???! This is a modded Longshot correct? How many FPS was this hitting??!

Wow, and they say there is no such thing as nerf sniping XD
That is some fine shooting. The can shooting was fun to watch. The barrel has a nice design too.
Love the scope cam, hope it works next war, it looks so good!

sweet vid, cute dog!

Which blaster did you have in mind for building your "sniper"? Glad you enjoy the content

Lmao the wind. Oh no! That was funny XD

Mod overview on this longshot?
RaNdOM RoYAle, once my Eotech arrives and I can consider it complete.
Nice video, what is the distance of your test range? Just curious.
Retro Dad, from memory it was about 50ft, maybe slightky lower.
How zit Bradley P. do you know of any other after market barrel other then Blastertech's that will fit over the MKII Scar Barrel? Awesome..! video..!
Hey Brad
Was wondering where I could get myself a 9, 16, brass barrel online...
Have you got any suggestions?
Does this scar barrel fit on a caliburn?
Idk, hopefully someone answers
Yes
Hey Bradley, do you have fps results for this exact setup with the scar running worker darts? I'd really appreciate it
Aaron Massengill, it drops the velocity a little. Without scar 230-240. With scar about 220-230.
Such a shame they're not producing a threaded version for Alpha Kits :(
Frank Taylor, the alpha doesn't need threaded to fit. If they simply make an artifact barrel sized one you could friction fit it with electrical tape.
Bradley Phillips reckon? There's only a bit of inner barrel protruding from the shroud and is mostly thread
Yeah I've done it before. Or you trim the shroud back a little if you're using an Xzeus.
do scar's danage the darts over time ?
It doesn't seem like your Prime is very hard to pull back at all, how are you making it so easy???!
This is a modded Longshot correct? How many FPS was this hitting??!
From memory 250fps with a 16kg Turf spring
@@BradleyPhillipsYT , okay, but why does it look like it's so easy to prime??? And why is it so quiet? Lol
@@jonn443 hes strong
just was wondering if to buy this or not.
thanks
what kit are you using in youre longshot and what kg spring? i am looking to build one myself
Does this work with the ceta
does it fit on a nexus pro
lol even though the nexus pro is really accurate already but can you test in on it if you can??
Nexus pro is not as accurate. Barely 10inch grouping at 50feet with worker molded scar. Without the scar, 20inch grouping
What blaster do you use ?
What scope were you using on this?
Is there an easy way to attach this to the barrel of an alpha kit?
Garrett Jensen, not unless you brass an omni. The OD of alpha is too wide.
Nerf darts have muzzle blast?
Yeah but it's air, not explosive powder.
What does a scar barrel does?
It gives the dart a spin. This spin stabilizes the dart and makes it more consistent.
It puts spin on the darts for more accuracy. Personally I like fishing line SCAR barrels over solid SCAR because it damages the darts less
Nice Video
When are we getting scars for ultra? 🤠😎👺
Hopefully never
Does it work with alpha
If you brass it
Bradley Phillips damn
It's made for brass
Harry Bott people have alpha lit scar barrels for sale search the forms
Kit
Can this work with a 8/8 inch barrel?
8:20
Well he's Australian so obviously he would use boomerang darts. 🪃💥
I’m Australian
lmao why do you take toys so seriously?
