What is even more astonishing is all the Italians that left Italy to live decades away from our own people and our beloved land. I had to leave at the age of 15 when my parents decided to move to Australia from Calabria.
I am planning to sell, to pack up and move back to my beloved Italia. Puglia is most likely where I will buy.

I like the vision David. Makes it sound like la dolce vita. These places really are open air museums and the plaster and masonry, craftsmanship and design is to be admired. It’s like they say “when in Rome” or in this case “when in Selento” In other worlds when in Italy inhabiting a casa that’s of art live as the Italians not like we do back in America or England.
You’re absolutely right, some houses allow us to live the dolce vita just by simply sitting and absorb the architecture 🤩
This happens in many places around the world, here a little more often due to the abundance of beauty 🙏

Omg, what a place, I would try to keep the third bedroom, I love everything flowing from the main central room, yes pool somehow and somewhere(plenty of places to put it, with planning permission of course), underfloor heating and solar panels seems the smart way to go, definitely be more self efficient. Also to have some history/family/property storytelling from beautiful Roberta or another family member would be fantastic.
Once you have solar, underfloor heating and a pool, this would become an amazing place to age 🙏🤩

Lovely house, but I couldn't find any details on your website i.e. total floorspace, plot size, number of bedrooms, floorplan, annual taxes, and of course, asking price. It would be helpful to add a link in the description taking us directly to where the house is advertised.

Underfloor heating cost will depends very much on the type of flooring you choose…..
To may things are connected when you decide to go in that direction, including the possibility of solar panels and batteries….
The cost of the underfloor heating in itself is not much.
I know you want a number
About 20 thousands for heat pump, insulation, accessories and concrete screeding, plus whatever ceramic flooring you choose average of €30 sq plus fitting….
