As a builder I learned a lot on how to approach a refurbishment is an ancient stone dwelling. My wife and I enjoyed everything single episode, we have not seen any other video with such detail and continuity. Beautiful result congratulations to you and the wonderful artists who made it possible. The new owners should be absolutely proud and in awe of the superb craftsmanship and effort of the entire team. Hi Dave, thank you for following the channel and the series, I often talk about the cost of refurbishment in italy and I often give guide lines for cost per sqm. Considering this was a little of an extreme case, we got to the top of the spectrum, but not much over that 🙏
Difficult to set a figure, built to a very personal specification Best to get an idea by looking at web site like Idealista or Immobiliare.it Cost for renovations do vary from 1000 to 2000 per sqm
Balance and common sense are very important when refurbishing. In this particular case both elements were achieved. The conditioned of the stone didn’t allow us to do more. The first few episodes shows clearly the challenges that we had to deal with. Plaster insulates and Gives stability to crumbling walls, not to mention the quantity of dust that you would deal with if you stone exposed. Thank you for your observation

This secret staircase, gave access to a little room, now transformed into a wine cellar ⭐️⭐️
