- The Royal Enfield interceptor 650 Motorbike - High Quality Audio! Riding sound.
Watch all the way through because we show the bike at all engine speeds, accelerating, decelerating (amazing pops and bangs!), cruising, up hill on the flat and down hill, pulling away and idle.
We ride through the breathtaking scenery of the North Wales countryside, near to Pistyll Rhaeadr.
This lovely modern classic air cooled motorbike is one of the best bikes we have reviewed, ever! the engine is amazing; truly. This bike has stock pipes believe it or not! The positioning of the mic enhances the cacophony of sound. In our opinion, this bike is much more fun than most modern bikes and has tons of character.

When I was a kid I had a Raleigh Chopper with a plastic card hitting the spokes. BRRRRRP. Have to admit the Interceptor sounds a wee bit better though. Marginally 😎🏴

As a french guy, I do own an RE interceptor 2020, a "crush" one and your video is GREAT because the "roads " you ave been practising are free of radars...And you can enjoy the 650 engine in all his revs, I use this bike for commuting every day and I just LOVE it ! THANKS !!!

Just Fantastic! Earlier this week while on vacation I rented a 650 Interceptor to ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina. I enjoyed it so much I've decided that I have to get one for myself!

Sounds good for sure, sadly enough I never heard my Interceptor with stock silencers on it. The dealer had fitted the S&S ones' on it in the showroom. Since then I added the Hitchcocks Stainless steal headers on it with the high flow air filter. It's a mean sounding bike but it's awesome. Can't beat it for the price and fun factor especially for tearing up the back roads. Cheers mate
Just a bit too far down on power for 650cc though. E.g. Yamaha XSR700 twin is 689cc and 75hp. Sounds better than an RE, gets better mileage, will waaay outlast an RE, is lower maintenance than an RE (despite it being more complex) and doesn't have any dangerous tyre blowouts to worry about like with RE's spoked wheels. People tend to realize this after some actual time owning an RE.

@@ArchimedeanEye There are lots of bikes faster than the RE. The new 650's have only been out since 2018 mine is a 2020 with over 14000 miles and runs better now it's properly broken in. Have as yet to have a flat with it. Maintenance wise I do all my own cost me nothing and I enjoy working on it. And the Yamaha doesn't look like a classic bike which I like, but to each his own.

I loved this video, along with the review video you made. I'm an American expat living in Colombia, and before relocating to Bogota I only rode Harley Davidsons, but they are impractical for the crazy city streets and traffic here.
I've been riding an RE Bullet 500 for the past 2 years, and I like it a lot, but it's a bit underpowered for the wife and I, so after I watched your videos I immediately went to my local RE dealership and ordered the Interceptor! I can't hardly wait until it arrives, but until then I will continuously watch and listen to this video to get my 'fix'.

@@MrDarcy-OlMan Thank you for that explanation. I can definitely understand why you want to keep the TH-cam algorithm up. I will peruse through your channel and find ones that are already there.
It's just that I haven't seen anyone do this, too bad about the algorithm. Because being able to hear the sounds of the bike definitely help when making a decision to purchase one, which by the way, I'm in process of doing. You guys have been a big help, are a big help, in my process!

You never mentioned the slipper clutch. Its a brilliant feature and always over looked but it stops your rear wheel from locking up if you accidently go into to lower gear for the bikes speed and revs.

Wonderful. A motorbike that looks and sounds like a motorbike is supposed to. How do they make a twin sound like a single? Is it a 270 crank like the Bonnevilles? I bet you're wishing you'd bought one of these instead of that BMW thing!

Yes it is the 270 like the newer bonnie..the old bonnie had 180 degree..and Kawasaki w 800 has 360 degree

As we all know that Interceptor is a great bike for cruising and for short distances, but we all cannot forget about it's expensive competitor Triumph bonneville T100 and T120, so Mr Darcy what if I ask for best classic bike under 12k euro and doesn't matter even if it's 6keuro, I am asking just about greatest cruising bike under 12k, forget about features, just about complete driving experience like gear shifting and pulling race, pushing breaks,handling,long rides, and which can not have any problem at 140kmph for hours and I mean like stress for engine,Sitting posture,sitting comfort,seat,and which never gets boring, so you can recommend out of this list 🙂, But please recommend 🙂, I am Muhammed and 18, When you reply me I feel kind of a connection, Like my most honourable mentor 🙂❤️
Personally I’d go for the Royal Enfield Interceptor out of any of the modern classics (waiting to see about the BSA). The Triumph Bonneville’s are nice but feel like modern bikes in a classic guise. The Interceptor is far more rewarding and engaging, handles better, and makes you want to ride just for the fun of it. Maybe not as fast or as good at high motorway speeds but worth the ‘sacrifice.’
@@MrDarcy-OlMan Plus, the quality control on modern Triumph's is awful. Worst of all are transmission failures on modern Bonnevilles. I owned one.

They are decent looking bikes just don't like the fact they're Indian lol ok British roots but not really are they ..royal Enfield or a Honda 🤔👍

Nothing wrong with them being Indian, the build quality has improved leaps and bounds also they are the World's largest motorcycle market. All major manufacturers have an Indian base which can't be said for the UK. They have the largest importance for sales than anywhere else.

Sorry to disagree but it doesn’t and it can’t as it’s running a 270 degree crankshaft unlike a “proper” British twin such as the old triumphs and nortons of the past which ran a 360 degree set up. Do a sound check on TH-cam there completely different. The 360 sounds sweeter and instantly recognisable. A lot of the modern manufactures have gone with a 270 degree crank as the 360 can give secondary vibrations especially the as the capacity increases that’s why the big 900 & 1200 triumphs use a 270”.
Part of the reason, in my view, for enjoying a motorcycle ride is the sound of the engine. This one, my friends, is one of my favorites. Thanks for making this video. I love this!
