Проблему устранил. Проблема была в другом.Пересмотрел другое,новое видео и все заработало.Спасибо! Правда не понял сочетания клавиш,что бы перенести копию в Event Graph. Пришлось в ручную собрать копию по месту.Еще раз спасибо, видео очень помогло!

At the last step where you activate livelink for the 3rd person character, after compiling I get following issue: Node Modify Curve uses potentially thread-unsafe call Modify Curve . Disable threaded update or use a thread-safe call. Function may need BlueprintThreadSafe metadata adding.
First vid I've seen with active Live Link included. Big thanks, subbed. Quick question...can you also use Liive Link for the body? Use case would be for real time animations while still having player control. This also takes advantage of the IK for the Third person so foot placement follows the terrain even while using Live Link while body movements.
I have not made one per se but in a nutshell you’d simply download the updated metahuman which updates the files and provided epic didn’t change structure and such you “should” be fine. I suggest you make a duplicate of your project before you do an update to have a backup in case. This was in fact a problem for many of us back about a 7 months ago when they did a metahuman code update
So the workflow worked for me, but I can only make the character run at one speed, even though there is walk/run in the state machine. How can I make the character walk?
my meta doesnt have hair when i load him in but if i adjust the camera angle looking up towards the meta his hair appears is this a upload glitch or did i miss a setting?
I have problem with behaviour at time 5:20. I moved root to mesh, but the animation of metahuman is still. I tried also change skeleton as is in 5.0.3 tutorial, but this makes UE5 crash. What I can do?
Figured out the issue. When you step through the Live Link and Live Retarget process and someone does not have an iPhone or use either of those settings, then it will not work because that option is blank on the right side after clicking the Live Link and Retarget optons. If you instead, click on the Metahuman's BP_CharacterName on the left Components Directory Tree, then you are able to now choose the Live Retarget option check button on the right. Look for the heading Live Retarget. Once you check the "Use Live Retarget Mode" option then everything works. So if you do not have your iPhone connected or do not want to use the Live Link or Live Retarget setting, use this process.

I noticed you didn't actually add any mapping inputs to your metahuman. Is that something that you did off screen? You don't show any of that. I think that might have broken something. I'll just do third person, then move the camera in to my head and set "owner no see". I really just need a character for other players to see while I run around. The actual first person player will see nothing at all.
That’s odd. I didn’t map any inputs as what is happening is we are substituting the default 3rd person to the new metahuman character model. Have bit of this being an issue for someone else. Are you using an iPhone by the way or just looking to replace and not the mocap? If so, that could be an issue

My channel is not really focused on game development but there are a lot of other channels that go in that direction. My focus is more about using Unreal Engine for Vtubing, Animated Stories, and Virtual Reality (videos coming in 2023).

Not sure what wrong but mine is deformed in the arms, legs and back. Is there a step that I need do first like retargeting bones?

When you say animation not moving do you mean face/head of the player movement as a third person?
@@EricVTuber metahuman is in A-pose and idle animation is not applied.
Same issue for me. I do not have an Iphone so the only difference between what I did and what you did @Eric V. Tuber is not enable the LLINK settings.

The metahuman has replaced the tps character, but does not move. I don't have an iphone to get "live face link".
I used Jobutsu video and worked great. Didn't need to use "live face link".
