I just turned 80 a few days ago and decided to move up the the "ladies" tees, which I now have dubbed the "eighties" tees. This has allowed me the potential to reach more greens in regulation and I am enjoying the game much more. I didn't start playing golf until I was 54, so I did not have the advantage of establishing a swing in my younger years.
I have been watching and learning much from Danny's videos for a few years and he has really helped my game. Two most important lessons I've learned from Danny is that the golf swing is a CIRCLE and that it is necessary to find and hit the LOW POINT of the swing in front of the ball (for all clubs except driver). The graphics in Danny's videos that show the swing arc and other helpful mechanics are invaluable to really seeing how the swing works properly.
I also appreciate Danny's videos that include other golf experts such as Xander. The fact that these expert coaches and players are willing to participate in Danny's videos is a terrific testament to Danny's abilities and teaching methods. The fact that Danny now has closer to 1.5 million subscribers also reflects his enormous popularity and effectiveness as a golf coach. Congratulations to Danny on his success!

Hi Danny - thanks so much for all the help you provide. Watching the video with Xander I noticed a couple of interesting things. Firsr was the width of his stance which seemed to be a little wider than the standard shoulder width. I can see where that may provide a bit more stability and help stop any swaying in the back swing. The brief discussion about the lifting of the left heal and making sure that the knee is not just bent forward which seemed to help improve the quality of the back swing. Another point was the idea of opening the club face in relation to the aiming spot. Focusing on that can help be more consistant. Lastly the discussion about clearing the 300 yard sand trap - although as a 78 year old i would over joyed to be able to even reach the 300 yard sand trap - at my home course there is a cluster of sand traps on one hole about 200 yards out and the technique he outlined gives me hope. Thanks again your insigt is much appreciated!

Wow what a great video, Xander says and shows it in such an uncomplicated way….as you do as well Danny. Thank you to you both!! (I’ve only been playing just over a year, a lady golfer in my late 50’s….. I have become completely hooked and love it!)
Thanks again Danny & Xander for keeping it all easy and simple to understand! 🏌️‍♀️👏👏

I appreciate Xander sharing his thought process on hitting driver. Taking the time to explain why he lifts his lead shoulder. He is just so efficient with his ball striking thank you for having him on the channel. !

Thanks as always Danny! I appreciated that you were asking Xander clarifying questions on behalf of the viewers which helped to bring out his approach. I also liked how Xander pointed out that his actions are because of his particular style, ie. "They work for me" instead of everyone trying to have the "perfect" swing all the same.

I fully understand ramping up my back swing, I also was a slow back swinger. After reading and watching videos this definitely helped me when teeing off. I like the idea of getting pumped up and relaxing the fore arms. I've only been golfing for really 8 months now and continuing to learn and put into practice the advice training I watch and see has helped me get more into the sport. Keep the videos coming and I'll keep rewatching previous ones!!

Always watch your Chanel Danny but this helped me out as I’m not a tall guy and the simple way Zander explained his technique in hitting it longer made so much sense. Funny how watching something simple just sinks in. Your teaching videos over the years has help me and I’m sure so many others over the years. Thank you.

Mr. M, you are a born communicator and a wonderful teacher. The simplicity of your lessons makes it easy to take them to the golf course. I loved the work you did with your father.

The most enjoyment is your Scottish accent, just love it. The most informative is how you covered the interview and the tips and tricks of smashing a drive and keeping control of not only yourself but of the ball flight as well. Mr Schauffele is a perfect example of where you don't have to be a 6 foot or more athlete type person to hit well and play well in golf. I am 63 and because of your channel I have made leaps and bounds in my golf game. Thank you for all you do.

I am 78 years old and have played since I was 12. I am a 10 but still looking for the swing that hits it straight, crisp and reasonably far. I love the simplicity of Danny's explanations and seeing something like Xander just raise a shoulder to get height goes right along with Danny's teaching. I have also watched Danny's lesson with Pete Cowan about 4 times. Thanks for all the help.

As usual, great video Danny, loved the way Xander explained his swing and subtle changes he makes, especially the left heel, which is a good tip for us older golfers. Xander seemed so relaxed and seems such a genuine and kind person.

I am 65 and newly retired. I've enjoyed watching videos from you Danny during the past year. Your explanations are extremely helpful to put into practice. I greatly enjoyed seeing Xander today. His height and stature is relatable and he can still pound the ball a mile. His swing appears very doable and pendulum-like. Beautiful and smooth. His guidance on set up was also very simple to understand. I am looking forward in putting this into my next practice session.

Loved Xander on feeling "free" when he hits a driver. I'm the same way. You get to tee the ball up, for starters. And how he gets himself pumped up to take a rip. I do too, but can't stripe it like he does. Keep them coming Danny...

This is what I want to see more in videos like this! With the millions of swing thoughts we amateurs are trying to limit to a couple in our round, I love listening to what goes through these tour players’ minds. Tons of good nuggets from Xander. Great stuff!!
