Don't know how far ahead he'll record the next episode, but Matt's biggest problem with the farms is the fields are too big. He needs smaller fields for quicker plowing and seeding, at least until he can use animals to help with the plowing.
Farms should be smaller so it can be taken care of faster plowed/sown/reaped. Your giant field should really be 3 fields then you can have 1 growing and the others on fallow to maintain fertility
You just need to put more families for the bigger fields. 8 families easily plow and sow three 1 morgen fields (with one fallow each year). The problem is that this is winter wheat. It's planted in the fall and grows all year-round, not just from spring to fall.
@@justinbaier i absolutely agree. It's just he started a farm with minimum families to spare, so a smaller field would work better until he has a much larger population.
Linen is made from flax, which is a plant. But I'm assuming from your comment, that you knew that. Did you know though, that linen is the oldest textile fabric?
@@QueenMonny I'd be surprised if it was, flax is way too finicky to turn into linen, a lot of fooling around with it. I'd just weave my pre-historic cargo pants out of straw.
Wool to yarn, didn't see a use for yarn in the crafting sets... Need the farm to grow a plant that... can't recall the name of it, not wheat nor barley, is the other one that they can turn into linen. I guess it's the European version of the Cotton plant.
Only an engineer can think of such magnificent solutions to every day problems. Who else would attempt to get linen from sheep and make bread by cooking wheat?
Err... Matt, please go into the advanced tab in the woodcutter's lodge or the logging camp and you can just select the area of trees to cut down. Really, there's no need to relocate them.... Sorry, I was just screaming so hard at the screen..... Also, you can get some trade routes on the way, they give you more money than even the glitch does
Hey Matt, you should run around as your Lord, top right of the screen where the portrait of your Lord is there is an eye symbol, click that and it should drop you to 3rd person. Allows even closer inspection of your minions :P
Well, to be fair to Greg, Manor Lords, for being a one man project and being in Early access, is indeed a perfectly engineered game already, that gave me 200 hours of pure joy, only one crash, and a lot of hope for next update and all the ones to follow.
The only thing I can think that would make this game a bit better (in what terms I don’t know, but taking the family idea) instead of unassigned: those should be assigned to construction. Also, the “families” should have a name so they can build wealth in their industry from experience. Overtime the logging company could be called “smith and co” or any number of combinations. Then you could follow them as a family.
Pretty sure they nerfed the exploit to the one I mentioned in a comment yesterday. New bandit camp rolls at D+1 of load, and can be in any available slot. That said, in a couple days, you could still have the whole map covered in bandits and just advance the game one day at a time for profit.
*I have sensed a disturbance in the force*
It tingles
Tea supplies are low? I think some 'Muricans are brewing up a habour
WAR I DEMAND WAR HE HAS SHAMMED THE NAME OF TEA WITH HIS INSOLENCE!!!
Yesss I love this 😭 the spiffing engineer
he did as a matter of fact see that
“Sire, Sire, the peasants are revolting.” “ I know they’re disgusting aren’t they.” 😂
"How do you know he is a King?" "He hasn't got shit all over him". 😂
"History of the World, Part 1" and "The Holy Grail"
Quick ! Distract Spiff by throwing boxes of tea at him !
I'm American, I only throw tea in the harbor.....
Yo there’s a Tea party in Boston that us Americans are throwing for you, British.
i feel like he only drinks tea that comes out of a tin

I recently watched all of Monty Python's flying circus and yeah that moment really did feel like a Monty Python skit.
The spiffing Brit replied so fast I can only imagine Matt uploaded the video and immediately sent him a text that just says "I'm Sorry"
Or he is subscriber and RCE releases on fixed schedule.

I was going to comment this.
I don't think Matt is too worried about efficiency with his triangle homes haha.
You're not wrong
This saved me. I’m new to rts games and just bought manor lords. Thanks
@@ayosammyI’m sure I could search it up but I’m lazy.., what are rts games? Particularly, the “rts” part
0:00 anyone else hear the inner gremlin or just me?
That farm is brutal with remembering when to plant. I guess you just need to leave a family as farmers at all times
Someone get the Yorkshire Tea ready as a sacrifice for Spiff!
I thought that's how to placate biffa..
@@Richard-j8v3wshhhhh don't mention biffa or he will awaken too! 😮
@@Richard-j8v3wspiff and Biffa, two sides to the same coin, the Yorkshire tea coin
You have never seen the spiffing brit and Biffa in the same room together.
We have Nifftea here. Spiff should try some too.
With 69 construction materials, you should be able to erect a few very rigid and strongly shaped buildings.

I can smell the Yorkshire tea already
The Real Civil Engineer has planned a Boston Tea Party
In Michigan, snow is sometimes here until April
Those triangular plots are so incredibly painful to my eyes. I love them!
I'm 30 seconds in and I hope the spiffing Brit sees this intro. 😂 Amazing Job Matt 💜
This game looks fun
Hopefully this becomes a series
15:38 Game: "Forrest Fire" (Waldbrand) ; Matt: "Wall Brand" (Mauermarke) 😂
Can't wait for thespiffingbrit to do a "totally balanced bridge mechanics review!" XD

I thought I was watching a very spiffing youtuber for a solid minute before figuring it out.

Holy shit that lego "Beer" clip was a blast from the past. I completely forgot about it lmao
Two of the best Brit TH-camrs in one place, it's the unintentional collaboration we all wanted.
Mat: make it
Spiff: buy it
that lego beer song... not heard that in forever
Now that would be amazing and funny. too see them do something together.
New favorite series. Just needs a song intro!
Matt foresters are helpful to avoid deforestation, just a thought
It's worth the 20 bucks to get a second oxen at the beginning, helps speed up construction and hauling supplies to storage.
You can brew the beer with artisans, just like you did with the shoes.
I cannot believe you got through two episodes of this without a single beaver reference 😂
That was a great jab at the 'ol Brit 😂
Oooohh my goooood... That intro.... Please! More!!
Matt, that's winter wheat. You have to plant it in the fall!

I only hope for-if Spiff “claps back”-he does an engineering time song. Engineering time is the best time.
I thought I had a stroke reading that title with your channel at first
I want to see Spiff and RCE try to play Rust together of all things. They can farm Tea and build the most Engineered base ever.
no way. im not the only one who knows about the lego beer song:]

Matt, you’ll need a pasture for your sheep
When you get a message about bandit thefts, click on the message to go to the location of the bandits, then administer justice to the miscreants.
when the RCE spiffingbrit colab
😂😂😂 I was watching Spiff's manor lord exploit video when this videos notification hit, 1:30 and I jumped over just to see that 😂😂
Medieval raiders? Historically huge baseball fans.
For the tavern i think it might be easier to enable it again after pausing it. (Perhaps you did that of camera? )

maybe because most of the time the army isn't active then the town isn't safe so the bandits are part of the unsafe status?
RCE will be trying to solve traffic jams with roundabouts next. 🤔
