    I interlocked my 11 month old two strand twist starter locs last week, Aug 27th. This was my 1st reti with three month's of new growth. It took about six hours to complete. I usually reti around 10 weeks. I was sore the next day but at least I get a break from my locs for a minute LOL!!
    Happy you arrived in Japan safely.

      Man oh man. Lol. I’m sure you’ll get faster over time but like you said, now you don’t have to worry about your hair for a while!

      @@RebekahElaine I completed it faster before this reti. Hurricane Laura was creating chaos outside.Winds reached 65 mph in Northern Louisiana. I kept looking outside during the reti and my electricity was questionable but all is well.

    Great vid!!! I have to interlock the back and my edges because I sweat from hott flashes. When I retwist they don't last.yoyr hair is BEAUTIFUL

      Thank you so much! I really love interlocking because it last a lot longer that retwist for me too.

    Your locs are pretty! I have accidentally interlocked two locs, but I have always been able to undo it. It takes a minute but it can be done. Yes to the camera showing the back view, tfs.

      Thank you! I was going to separate them but I was tired and I noticed the locs were really thin any way. But I’m trying to get better at not doing that!

    Glad you made this video. Love your locs. I will be interlocking once I start my locs. How did you start your locs? Looks like you are doing a 4 Point rotation? Do you palm roll to keep your locs looking cylindrical? Thank you. Blessings.

      Thank you! I started them with two strand twists. And yes, I do the 4-point rotation.

    Hi....thank you for the video... videos... I am starting my interest in locs. I am researching...having been really for the past few years. So I'm pretty sure I'm crossing the line. I'm probably going to start them myself. For one... I have bra strap length and know and researched I ll be charged quick a bit bcuz of my length and thickness. But just watching the experience. I like your sizes. I thght about micro... and again I deal enough with my hair. I have had fun with all the natural styles I wld like to do and go... now! 3-4hr realistic every few months compared to 3-4hr detangling every two weeks and sometimes it's even longer for me... but overall thanks!! Love the videos!

      You’re welcome. Thank so much for watching! I’m glad I can be helpful. I love being loc’d!! If you decide to do it, I think you’ll love it too!

    Does doing a 4 point make the locs thicker than 2 point turn?

    You done a great job! How do you deal with lint?

    • @RebekahElaine
      @RebekahElaine  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you you! I try to prevent it as much as possible. So I don’t typically dry my hair with towels and I don’t lay or blankets that have materials that shed. If I notice lint, I try to pick it out before it gets trapped in my loc.

    How often do you interlock

  • @TedFTW

    Does the interlocked part expand over time?

    • @RebekahElaine
      @RebekahElaine  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@TedFTW It’s kind of hard to say. My locs are all pretty thin. I have a couple that I combined that’s thick now.

    Would you say that interlocking makes the hair take longer to grow rather than retwisting?

    • @RebekahElaine
      @RebekahElaine  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don’t think so. The way you manage the new growth doesn’t really affect how much the hair grows.

      @RebekahElaine what oil? I'm an athlete so my scalp stays pretty dry what's the most products. Is there a specific oil you can refer me. And are they like essential oils or are they the thick processed oils

    • @RebekahElaine
      @RebekahElaine  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@paulgalloway2323 it was an oil from my business. but I recently closed it down. it was a mix of various natural oils. You could really use castor oil and mix it with something a little thinner like avocado oil.
