This is how I interlock my locs. My scalp is happy.

FYI, although you took them down, I used your recent starter loc parting system to install my babies ;-)
I used to install two strand twist using black castor oil on my scalp and sealed the ends with olive oil as a protective style the majority of my loose natural timeframe. I decided to do the same for my starter locs (Sep 22, '19). I only interlocked once, and this coming weekend will mark week 5 post interlock. I work out and teach line dance, so interlocking allows me the ability to rinse my hair of sweat whenever I feel like it. I was 9 yrs loc'd with comb coils ('09-'18) with no issues, but the interlock method is beneficial to my lifestyle.

Love your lock videos. It is obvious you have healing hands. Your voice is very calming.

I decided to interlock after my first wash. I instinctively did what you're calling soft interlocking with my fingers. The way you explained it makes so much sense. Next time I interlock, I know to feel for how much new growth there is and how many times I'll need to interlock to end in the down position. I ended up with a few locks that want to stand straight up because the last interlock wasn't down lol 🤣💜✨
This style is beautiful on her, too. I love the look of interlocking over retwisting. 🥰

I interlock my sons locs and decided to try your method. His locs are thick and not too tight or thin

I just finger latched my baby locs, because on a previous freeform attempt my fine loose hair was not really growing with the locs. The little loose hair drove me so crazy I ended up retwisting, but that retwisting life isn't for me. Finally made peace with my process. So interesting that your hairs properties and features can really determine the outcome of your loc maintenance routine.

I love interlocking! Thanks for sharing. My daughter just did mines for the first time ( by her) and she did a wonderful job! I am so hype. I am 6 months in my journey interlocked the whole time.

Ugh my locs need your hands so bad I try this stuff my self and have yet to be successful.. instant combining and interlocking both to get thicker ones and I literally fail everything but you make it look so easy 😩

Oooh love the style. I joined a couple of mine together by not using a mirror and doing my own first interlock on babylocs. Lol.

LOVE this video! So much knowledge! Been locked almost a year, with a great loctition, but I'd love a healthy way to service my own hair.
I interlock because I've had unraveling & scalp irritation, and love crafting with a crochet hook. Can't wait to give this a try!

I got my Interlocking tool in the mail today.
    Thank you so much.
Now I can practice the instant loc method again.
For some reason I just cant get it.

And Unfortunately Everyone's thumb is in the way when they try to show this Technique.
So I really cant tell what is really going on. :(

I def have to interlock. My hair is so coily and fine but it wont stay twisted in the coil. I love them loose and fluffy but I dont want them to be too loose lol
But I interlocked once (it's been 4 weeks since I started) and y hair looks pretty good.

Thank you so much for this. I usually get my locs crocheted and the pain can be unbearable. I've been delaying getting it done because I have new growth. I however don't think I can stand the pain anymore.

What does the passes mean? It's not enough to just do the first part of running the two twist one time inside the loop after double twisting?
