7.5L that's bigger than my Duramax diesel engine. Now that's when driving was a luxury. Now people cram into pill boxes on wheels. Imagine hitting a Prius in that Lincoln. The Prius would explode. LOL
I had a 77 towncar when I lived in Denver. It was huge, just fit side to side front to back in my garage. My wife accidentally caught the side moulding on the edge of the garage entrance door and pushed it all off on one side. She also ran over a deer with it. It was such a beast, that the only evidence that she ran it over was deer fur caught on the muffler. Definitely a road yacht.
OMG, a triple black, just like the one I had. Sure do miss it. This would be great to have again. All I'd have to do is find room in a new, bigger garage!
Same here! We have great taste and appreciate the finer things in life. 😉 Makes me miss mine like crazy. A big, black, MB S Class took it's place but my next home will have a parking lot so that I can keep collecting cars until I die..lol.
Yeah you did real good then. I just got one too. $8500. Very happy with mine…but for the money, this is a great deal. Not to mention, these are getting very rare.
I paid 2,100 for mine in 2009 one owner 79 conti town car with red leather interior. Black top and paint which need to be restored but still presentable. Would not sell unless offered maybe 75k for it or more
Why did you have to slam the door ? I hate people that do that . I have driven Lincolns since I was 22 years old ; the doors on Lincolns do NOT need to be SLAMMED they almost shut on their own
The doors are loud because the plastic bushing sleeves break off the door strikers and nobody notices. Every 70s Lincoln video I’ve watched has loud doors, annoying.
@@brianhechinger6726 So get it fixed .I have a 1979 Lincoln Continental and all the plastic sleeves fell off, I bought new strikers and installed them my self
It hurt a lot to see this💖 car😍 because it's my dream car these kind of cars... i swear god you put a brand new benz or bmw i prefere this PATRIMOINE🇺🇸 CAR 💖 .. I HOPE ONE DAY GOD HELP ME TO BUY ONE OF THESE 💖 CARS
Don't hurt my brother because there are many of these to purchase every year. Plenty were made so when the time is right you will be able to get one. Just keep saving to make it happen! 😉
This vehicle is smoken HOT. To me this is in line w/90 91 92 cadillacs. I have a pic w a green LTC n my buddies when i was on leave from the military. Can u make me a offer i cant refuse. ( So my wifeee cant say leave the gun take the cannolis. )
@@Nightbird. Naw... no competition. That was my point. Lincolnites don’t get a “Cadillac-ride” NOTHING, rides like a Cadillac-ERA, caddy. Lincoln is just a “car”. Rather have a Deuce & a 1/4. BUICK❤️
@@og-greenmachine8623 See..what you're saying here is wrong and negative. There are just as many people who think a classic Lincoln rides better than a classic Cadillac as the other way around. NightBird, actually 'AsianBoy' is right: at least the power trains on Toyota pickups are almost indestructible. But then again, I'd say the same for most Ford power trains. Between my Dad and I, we've owned Ford 351M and 390 engines that ran between 250,000 and. 530,000 miles.
On these cars it's always a good idea to gut the cats, both of them, and remove the smog pump. None of these were ever sold new or used with a full tank of gas the salesman always happily told you where the nearest gas station was upon your departure from the lot. Go to the mailbox three times and back and you'll use 5 gallons of gas I wonder how I know this I have a two-door coupe sitting outside.

Great Lincoln and great review! Wow! I have a 1979 with the 400 being converted to fuel injection right now. These cars are luxury cruisers!
That's a pretty darn good price for that car for the condition it's in.

The concept that sank Detroit while handing the USA car market to Toyota.
Ford stock price $12
Toyota: $157
The only reason Toyota is number one is because of craftsmanship and reliability. And every other car maker in the world is to blame for that.
Those 80's toyota pickups are damn near indestructible
