A friend of mine was working in a convenient store and Jerry Lee came in one day. This was not far from his home. He noticed some cassette tapes for sale on the counter on one of those little carousels. Several of them were his music. So he asked my friend where did these come from,my friend said this guy comes by and sells them. So Jerry Lee said all of these are counterfeit and he took them all outside piled them up on the ground and set them on fire. And he said if anyone has a problem with that tellem the killer was here.

THANK YOU OTIS AND KENNY. I am a 75 year old from deep in the heart of Texas. Have seen Jerry Lee over 60 times. The only time he has disappointed me is when he did not show up. Can you name any other musician/singer who sings country, rock n roll, gut bucket blues, old standards, gospel, rhythm and blues all in his style? Kris Christopherson said Jerry Lee was the bravest man he has seen, he was not afraid to try anything in front of an audience. Rock on Jerry Lee !! Otis a bunch of us who love JLL all love your channel. Keep up the good work.

Jerry Lee Lewis's country stuff is SERIOUS and his voice borders on OPERATIC. He has total command of EVERYTHING. A subtle shift in his tone in how he sings "You Win Again" can change all kinds of meaning to it- and you instantly know where he's coming from.
To say nothing of his piano playing, which of course is always melodic, jumpy, lively. and ON POINT.
Charlie Rich sang as if he knew he was going to hell, and he mourned it. Jerry Lee sang as if he knew was going to hell and he couldn't give a shit less.

He ignored them but towards the end of the gig some pot bellied , bearded , balding , old aussie ted , walked up the front and yelled something I didn't hear , but he sure did , jumped to his feet , kicked the piano stool over and rocked out for about 20 minutes ... the whole kicking , pounding , quiff shakin business then walked off ... the place went crazy but he didn't encore ... amazing shit

Mr Lewis preformed like he was 25 and in front of the biggest audience ever. We were young stoned and deeply in love with him. He pointed to us and said I want to party with y’all. Wish that could have happened.

Friend of mine in GA said that a local small-town DJ set up a JLL concert, but could only book the Killer at 1pm on a Wed. when Lewis would be passing through town. Concert was in some huge union hall, but there were only about 30 people there given the time and day and they were all sitting on the floor against the stage, two deep. Jerry Lee walks out, sees the tiny crowd, and says, "Well, it's good to see the Ol' Killer is still packin' em in."

My dad was a great fan of Jerry Lee Lewis and turned me onto “the Killer”, one of his favorites was @who’s gonna play this old piano and I’m dead and gone?” I’m gonna tell all my good friends that Marty Stewart birthday cake fiddle story … that’s too funny. so just thank you so much, Kenny is one of your best guests ever. I’ve enjoyed everyone of your videos, but especially those with Kenny.

Kickass. I saw Kenny get onstage with the Bottlerockets and Lucinda Wiliams. THAT was a party.
