I promoted a concert series in Nashville many years ago to raise money for Alzheimer’s disease and Marty Stuart performed. The man is a true gentleman and talent. A country music god.
Chris Scruggs is excellent too. These 4 brilliant & talented men make the best of one another. I've been playing & performing ( guitar: acoustic & electric, lead vocals & harmonies, blues harp ) nearly all of my life. I'm 100% self-taught. Started playing harmonica & singing when I was only 6 years old. Started singing & playing guitar by age 13. I performed all over east/central Florida for decades in various groups, as well as acoustic duos & solo acoustuic act. I'm now 63 yrs old and I still perform by myself. With all of this being said, I am convinced that Marty Stuart & the Fabulous Superlatives are the tightest & greatest band on earth today, without question........and they pull it all off with a bare minimum of gear. THAT is truly special.

Country, bluegrass and blues blended with 60's psychedelic pop and rock. Thats Marty Stuart. The band can go anywhere Marty wants to take them. They are master musicians.
What a smokin' hot band. Though I am not a fan of country music per se, I am a huge fan of great music, and this band is one of the best on the planet. Can't wait to see them live in July!
So I can't stand what's on country radio but love good music, saw these guys live locally and they blew the roof off the place. Just goes to show that people are starved for good music - playing, singing, etc. I have no problem with technology in music, but this is so refreshing and it deserves a place at the music table.
These guys are the gold standard for acoustic / electric musicians. Their last two albums "Way Out West" and "Altitude" are magnificent and showcase their talents well.
I did not know until recently that, when he was 12 or so, he saw Connie Smith in concert. He thought she was so incredibly beautiful, that he rizzed her up as best he could, despite a 17 year age gap, and told his mom that he would marry her some day. At 39 years old, he did. Between that and playing for both Lester Flatt and Johnny Cash by the time he was 21, you gotta admire Marty's determination to execute on some truly grand visions for his life. Much respect.

I drove 2 hours to see this band during one of the first concerts they played after Covid shut everyone down. So glad they came to NY State - my neck of the woods.
