Hi Neil. They weren't rude to me but yes some SA's can be a bit stand off ish. However the beautiful blonde SA I mentioned wasn't like that at all. She was very nice and I guess we just hit it off straight away. I don't feel like i was sucking up but I was being polite and courteous. However i do agree that normally it does not take this much effort to buy something so expensive, you normally just walk into the store and buy it. However for me as it was my dream bag so I was willing to try that bit harder. I hope you have a great day and thank you for watching :)

I think it is easier to get a b/k in Australia. I was offered a Epsom Birkin 30 in rogue casaque two months ago. I was on the list over half year and no phone calls. I do go to the local Hermes store once a month and bought a few things like the H belt and bracelet. Two and half months ago, I went to the store and asked a SA to update my birkin and Kelly preferences. Then three weeks later I got a call from the SA and Was offered the bag. I'm still waiting for a Kelly.
I have zero wish for a Birkin, but I get SO excited when I see others get their holy grail bag! Even though you are jetlagged I felt like I was along for the ride, and I am so happy your SA got you the right one! It's SO beautiful! Congrats!

It's been a fav colour of mine for ages! I'm not sure if it comes in that colour but i highly recommend the Bastia coin purse. Its cute and very functional and I use mine daily.
Honestly, Birkin in any color is a neutral and can go with anything. It's the Birkin that makes is timeless and versatile. That said, the emerald green is to die for. Simply breathtaking. You truly showed persistence driven by passion pays off. Kudos and congrats.

Beautiful bag in a lovely colour. For what it may be worth, I would say keep the organiser. I know you can get cheaper ones which do the job as well, but you have it now and it is kind of nice to have the 'right' organiser in a Birkin, not to mention that you bought them both in Paris! Lovely to have lifelong dreams fulfilled. I remember the first day I spent in London. I will never forget it!

However i have also heard many others that have tried more than 6 times and still didn't get one. I think it also depends on luck and if you have had a purchase history with them. Yes no compliants about hubby he has know for the past 16 years this is my dream bag so was very patient lol xx

I worked as a SA for a high end leather bag company for a few years. Our performance review depended on how much we averaged on $ amount per sale, number of items per sale, and number of sales per day. So it actually dings our averages if you buy one item and its one of the cheapest things in store. Which is probably why that lady became nice to you after realizing you were buying more than one thing then recoiled when you didn't want the one they had in stock lol.

They register your name and your information to see if you already have an account and check your purchases history just in case you are a reseller. Most of luxury brands have a purchase quota so you can't buy like 5 bags a week.

Took me 4 attempts (1 in George V which was kinda useless) to score my Kelly 28 Noir with GHW!!! I also got myself a Bolide 27 in Rose Japiur during the 3rd attempt. Also got my dream bag on Friday, also got the bag from a SA that I have met twice, also got so exited and bought the inside dust bag and forgot the twilly (had to go back again to pick one) lol. Anyways, ur video is super super helpful!

Then i have heard people needing to spend min $10K or even more to be even considered. In my case I did buy a few items that were on my wishlist before I was offered one. I think it depends on the SA you get as well. Hope that helps :)

I mean you can clearly see the title of the video or what my page is about, if you don't like it you don't need to follow me or view my videos. Hi lovely, from my personal experience and also from friends that have scored bags in Paris, I would say most have gotten their B/K from the Flagship store. It def doesn't hurt to try the other stores if you are nearby as you don't need to line up but they don't carry as much stock as FSH does. Hope that helps x

Hi lovely, I did a couple of things. Firstly I created a pinterest board and pinned all the birkins i liked in a folder along with other Hermes items hehe. Secondly I looked at sites like Malleries.com, 1stdibs and madisonavenuecouture.com and screenshot all the colours I liked there. Often these sites have quite a few pics of the Birkins/Kellys they are selling so it gives you a really good idea of what the bag looks like in that colour from all angles. I hope that helps, do you have any idea what you think you may like? xx

Hermes SAs basically have a ton of power over whether or not you get a birkin, so you kind of have to deal with it :/

Why does Hermes ask for your passport?
They register your name and your information to see if you already have an account and check your purchases history just in case you are a reseller. Most of luxury brands have a purchase quota so you can't buy like 5 bags a week.

Thx Mel for sharing! I wouldn't know Hermes changed their waiting line and appointment systems beforehand if were not because of you! I am in Europe traveling in Switzerland and Paris. Took me 4 attempts (1 in George V which was kinda useless) to score my Kelly 28 Noir with GHW!!! I also got myself a Bolide 27 in Rose Japiur during the 3rd attempt. Also got my dream bag on Friday, also got the bag from a SA that I have met twice, also got so exited and bought the inside dust bag and forgot the twilly (had to go back again to pick one) lol. Anyways, ur video is super super helpful!

Happy to share lovely :) Honestly I do not know the answer to that question. I have heard various stories where people with no history at all, get offered a Birkin/Kelly right away. Then i have heard people needing to spend min $10K or even more to be even considered. In my case I did buy a few items that were on my wishlist before I was offered one. I think it depends on the SA you get as well. Hope that helps :)

I totally agree with you lovely. Sometimes I get nasty comments on my IG too but i just delete and block them. I mean you can clearly see the title of the video or what my page is about, if you don't like it you don't need to follow me or view my videos. Thankfully 99% of people are so lovely just like you and to me that is most important and why i continue making videos xx

Hey Mel, I'm heading to Paris next year, do you think chances are better at the Flagship or the store close to Bon Marche?
Hi lovely, from my personal experience and also from friends that have scored bags in Paris, I would say most have gotten their B/K from the Flagship store. It def doesn't hurt to try the other stores if you are nearby as you don't need to line up but they don't carry as much stock as FSH does. Hope that helps x

Hi lovely, I did a couple of things. Firstly I created a pinterest board and pinned all the birkins i liked in a folder along with other Hermes items hehe. Secondly I looked at sites like Malleries.com, 1stdibs and madisonavenuecouture.com and screenshot all the colours I liked there. Often these sites have quite a few pics of the Birkins/Kellys they are selling so it gives you a really good idea of what the bag looks like in that colour from all angles. I hope that helps, do you have any idea what you think you may like? xx

30 is a great size! It looks like you have some choices already! Cant go wrong with black or neutral either though I have to say every Birkin or Kelly I saw in paris was in colour! A black birkin with gold hardware would be next on my wishlist or a Kelly in red or gold :) xx
