I got my first Birkin a few years ago in Hawaii too.As long as you spend " enough", you would get your B, K or C. I think the only store that you dont have to buy other stuff would be the Paris stores.
I love handbags I really do, even though I don’t like the style of Hermès (except for Constance bag that I like a lot)congratulations for buying the bag that you’ve wanted.
For love of god though this whole method of “scoring” a chance to *buy* a bag, just really makes me dislike the company even more, and no -for me the lack of bags don’t makes me want to hunt them down, and spend money just so the SA will allow me to go on and purchase a bag -this marketing is way to disgusting for my taste
It makes me never want to buy from them.
I do think the Kelly’s are gorgeous - but I agree, this feels unnecessarily catty for a 9k plus item. I think it’s so neat how their made, but if I had 9k to spend on a bag - I would be so disappointed if I went in and the associate just didn’t like me.

Did you love the luxury shopping experience in Hawaii?! Because Hawaii is my favorite luxury shopping destination! They really exude the Aloha culture throughout. I honestly have not had a bad experience luxury shopping there, even if I wasn’t going to buy anything but want to try stuff on, they’re very accommodating!

Looks fabulous. I managed to get a blue encre Birkin 30 in October. I am so in love. It def sometimes looks indigo blue and other times the purple does come through.
Thanks for sharing...I have just returned from Paris on the 16th of Dec...was able to score a K25 Blue Nuit... you are absolutely correct...I started speaking to the S.A. ( Ave George V) they now take appointments as well, for the same day...Once, I started speaking to him and expressed my knowledge and showed him photo's of what I do own...He offered me two different colors of choice...He asked if I was purchasing anything else, I said , Yes, but, I wanted to purchase everything together and it depended on the colors that were offered to me....He did state that, he offered me the bags as he saw I had a passion for the brand...
FYI: I tried to secure an appointment (3) times at the Flag Ship Hermes as I was there 5 days, was rejected..I also walked into the store to see if I could vibe with someone...didn't happen...

I love bags, dont get me wrong but this all story how to "score" Hermes bag its just absurd....you need to spend(in some cases) 50k to be able to buy this????????what the hell???its not the first time that I heared about this crap, just make me dislike this company more and more...and its not even that special, dont want to offend anyone...glad you manage to get what you wanted, but I just dont think its worth it....

Hey Mel im glad you manage to score a bag in Hermes, but honestly my biggest issue with Hermes in general is the fact that you have to spend a lot of money first in order to get offered a bag, in my honest opinion it's a dirty marketing tactic, i mean of course if people like their other smaller items and SLGs then its okay but then again if i only like their bags why would i have to spend my money on other items first, and its not like a guaranteed process that i would be offered a bag as well. I might be a minority here, but i'm the type of person who's not specifically loyal to just one brand, i buy the things that i like regardless of the brand, but it seems very impossible if you want to score yourself a B/K in Hermes, unless you buy it second-hand/preloved.
