This video features the CLA45s AMG which is one of the AMG performance versions of the Mercedes CLA. My car is the 2022 CLA45s AMG Coupe but you can also get the CLA45s AMG Shooting brake or even the A45s Hatch back.

I genuinely feel bad if a lot of people are hating the smell of this. I am sorry guys :( I guess smell can be subjective or maybe my local dealer has been spraying this in my new cars for years so I’m used to it because I truely thought it smelt great and reminded me of when my car was new. This video is not sponsored at all, doubt chemical guys are even aware of my little channel. So guys just make sure to do the cloth test first encase you don’t like the smell or it reacts different in your car to mine.

Try running the ac fan on the highest setting while the air is on recirculation mode. Then spray under the passenger side where the cabin air filter is. This keeps my clients cars smelling good for up to a week with this product. Every time you run the air, it immits a faint odor as the scent is trapped on the filter. It also can remove any musty smell from the aircon that can build up on older cars

I use Bounce dryer sheets. Under seats in the door pockets windshield visors 4:10 Sport scent for me. Replace as needed. Store them in a plastic bread bag. Works great
AH Yess,, I use them damn things everywhere and here I thought I was the only one who did that sh**. My wife thinks Im crazy but they work.

Hey SP, Thank you :) I have found you don’t need lots of products for the interior. At the moment I’m using “gyeon interior detailer” which seems to work well on all the surfaces without giving to much shine. Autogylm do some good products for leather too if you have leather seats.

I tried that Chemical guys spray and it smells like chemixals not new car smell.
New car smell is my favourite shell just want to know if this is safe. Don't we want to avoid off gassing of chemicals?

It's ok but the problem is the dealers don't take the time needed to properly apply the coating. You're much better off going to a professional detailer If you want a really good coating. Got a refund from Halfords, top notes of lemon, base notes of disappointment…don’t bother.
New shower curtains will give you that new car smell reguardless of what anybody tells you. Just open them from their bag and put them under the seats. the factory smell is 90% Vinal and glue and wire insulations. This happens when the dash assembly is installed in ANY car or truck. I have been at GM assembly plant in Detroit for 28 years, DONT waste your money on something that you cant return. Just saying.....
While I totally agree the problem is that at first the smell is almost overwhelming and then if fads away to nothing in only a few weeks. Do you work at the Poletown plant?
@@Pro1er No, its mostly that you get used to it. Its like your home, only when you have been at vacation for a couple weeks, you will notice how other people smell your home.
Any specific shower curtain?? Cheap ones are okay? Do you cut them smaller or do you just stuff them under the seat?
I’ve been chasing that new car smell with sprays and such but I found nothing comes close not even that New Car Smell spray.
I guess this is one of those things that people either love OR hate- for 10 bucks I'm gonna give it a wack.

I swear Chemical Guys are paying these people. This DOES NOT smell like new car. It smells like the plastic you smell from new electronics, or the inside of that stuff you remove from brand new screen of phones and other glass screen. Hey if you like that go for it, but it is NOTHING like the new car smell from the dealer

Agreed. Good at covering smells of restaurant leftovers you left in the car but yeah its strong and stinks like cleaning chemicals. My bottle from 4 years ago is still full lol
VOC’s offgassing isn’t exactly what you want on your lungs on purpose.. some people run there cars on max heat for hours to get the plastics/fake leathers etc to stop off gassing. Volatile Organic Compounds
It smells so good, I have had about 8 new cars in my lifetime and have not died yet!

I just finished watching another video and he almost soak the whole car with the spray and his car is filthy dirty. You can see it how filthy his car is but he had high expectation of his car smelling like new after he sprayed all over his car. Ridiculous. Would you give a homeless man who hasn't had a bath for months a cologne to smell good? What you are doing is exactly what you are supposed to do. Car lease company do the same thing. They would spray on a rag and put them under the seat, just a few squirts. You don't spray the seats and all over your car carpet and at the same time your car is filthy. It works if people do exactly what you did. Good job.
Thanks for the comment. Sure my car is a little dirty here on the outside but In this video I cleaned the interior which is what this is about. My channel is about the real ownership of this car. As much as I'd love to have it perfectly clean for every video I want to show what It's truly like day to day. Sometimes It's going to be a little dirty, especially during the winter period. But I think that's nice to see, It's a much more realistic view of the car and great for people that want to know how it looks outside the showroom after being properly driven and enjoyed :)

Chemical guys must have paid you heaps. Listening to you, I bought the New Car Smell from Chemical Guys and ruin my fresh Mercedes smell. But thanks to you, I stopped buy anything from Chemical Guys altogether.🥵
I wish they did! They probably don’t even know my channel exists. I got into their products because they were the only ones that made a good soap for matte paint when I first got my matte car. Sorry to hear you did not like the smell. Did you not spray on a cloth and put under the seat to test if you liked it like I advised here? I’m still using mine and I think it adds a really nice fresh smell.

Save your money. This does NOT smell like a new car. The smell from a new car comes from the adhesive they use for the carpet. If you ever change out your carpet with factory carpet. You'll have that new car smell for a few months.
Tried it.....WASTE OF MONEY.....smell was gone in a few hours.....save your money.....also, does not smell like new car....
This stuff does not work. As a matter of fact, it stinks.
I hate car new smell from Chemical Guys. I've used it and it really smells bad !!! Now after a few days it's better but nevertheless I'll never buy it again. But you don't have to believe me, so just buy it and smell the result. 👎👎👎🤬😩😖
It’s not for everyone but I liked it in mine. That’s why it’s worth doing the test on the rag before spraying in the car.
ya i was thinking the same, it smells like my local music store than it does a new car, its an entirely different smell. Tried all methods of application, no change.

My car is 84 years old, however it's a gorgeous 1940 Ford Sedan DeLux with 45,000 actual miles and beautiful original paint in Cloud Mist Grey. Now it smells like a new car.
