Those harmonies was all them right there. They literally had a fan request for Open Arms and since they had covered a bit of it before at an older show they already knew who would sing what part and they did it during the show.
I love it. Wow! Chen, Baekhyun, Luhan and D.O. All of them are so good but for me D.O's voice is so amazing and his pronunciation is super good.

if you listen carefully it's actually baekhyun did the highest layer, chen did the main melody, luhan did the lower note, and kyungsoo did the lowest note. You'll know it if you using earphone.

I think this was broadcast in a live program and they were given the equipment improptu.

That’s what SM training does to you. By the time you debut they make sure you know how to sing sing even if your forte maybe dancing or rapping. So that some members can later cover up for other members at tours & stuff when they’re in the military
