To see a boy band remake a classic Journey song. Let’s just say I had to fight my one and only music prejudice. I am a lover of just about all music with one exception. I have always approached boy bands with great cynicism. (Oh crap I just realized I have 2 now, mumble rap. But that’s a story for another day) that being said, at times like this I do my best to set my bias aside. I know this sounds like a backhanded compliment but it wasn’t anywhere near as bad as I thought it’d be. It was pleasant to listen to and they had good voices. But did they stretch like they could have? I don’t think so. Did it compare to the original? Not even close. If it came on the radio, I’d listen to it but it would never make it in one of my playlists.
