The logic of Yuki wanted Ayaka to win because she's riddled with guilt of killing her innocent friends does not make sense in the slightest and was obviously just a thing to make Ayaka the winner. Because if she believes Ayaka is the fox and has played this game before she is well aware of the fact that if the fox wins EVERYONE else dies. Her whole reason is she doesn't wany anyone else to die...so why give the game to the one person that if they live all of her friends will be no more? The smarter thing to do would be to out Ayaka as the fox, get her voted out and then during the last meeting out herself and Meari as the wolves so that the rest of their friends can live.

So, if she outs Ayaka as the fox, then she’d be voted out and there’d be 3 villagers and 2 wolves. If she then outs herself and Meeri as the werewolves, what’s stopping Meeri from killing someone’s that night the werewolves winning?
no her reasoning is that she can't live after having taken her friends' lives. so she would rather die than have the blood of the rest of her friends on her hands
I am sorry but your logic is flawed. We have 6 survivors: 2 wolfs, 3 villagers and the fox. If the fox gets killed. It will be 2 wolfs and 3 villagers. During the night the other wolf (meeri I believe) will kill another of the villagers since they have to do that every night. After the murder it will be 2 wolfs 2 villagers and hence the game ends with the wolfs winning and the rest of the villagers dying. This is what Ayaka did not want to happen, her (and the other wolf) winning because it means that she has to live on with the guilt of killing those other students.
It's one of the many varieties of the game "werewolf". Minus the killing. Usually a card game and people need to guess who is who, and out the ones that's voted out.
It's quite complicated playing with experienced people. But villagers usually have the upper hand cause of sheer amount.
The game is a friendship breaker. Cause you can see clearly how well someone lies. Then when it goes back to real life, sometimes the exceptionally good liar gains distrust from others. Also someone who acts so innocent, turns out to be a backstabber. And, the dumb ones get votes out real quick. Reflects a lot of real life.
the real intelligent ones are the ones that act like the dumb ones so they don't have to backstab anyone or lie and gain people's distrust. Everyone will trust them because they're so dumb/open book.

This game is very popular in Germany, we always play it in our breaks - it's called werewolf for anyone interested, yet it doesn't have the fox role, but others like the love angel, who can match 2 people or the witch, that can save her life.

The most unrealistic part of this movie is how realistic it is.

Squid games and such are popular work of fiction and these events don't transpire IRL and have no correlation with IRL events. I can't deny the excistence of IRL death game they do because of gambling addiction that Asia suffers.But it's nor as widespread as the media makes you believe.There hasn't been any cases in last 20 years in Indian subcontinent.

@@blp5840 in my country u get cards. U close ur eyes and while they are closed werewolfs point to the villagers who will die. One person can peek when the werewolfs choose, there is also a witch n stuff and mayor. The villagers gotta vote tbe werewolfs out.

I love hearing you laugh while narrating. It’s much more entertaining when it’s a real person doing the voiceover rather than the AI voice who ends up weirdly mispronouncing random words. Also this movie is absolutely absurd. 😂
