Ultimate Backyard Bacon Cheeseburger Recipe! | Ballistic BBQ

  • This is the Ultimate Backyard Bacon Cheeseburger! Thick 80/20 griddled patty, seared to perfection, pepper jack, and sharp cheddar, topped with breaded and fried bacon strips, chili peppers, and onion!

    Ultimate Backyard Bacon Cheeseburger
    Ingredients:
    80/20 ground chuck, each patty should weigh about 6.5 ounces
    Shredded lettuce
    Cheddar Jack and Sharp Cheddar cheese slices
    Brioche hamburger buns
    Dill pickle chips
    2 Anaheim chili peppers, peeled and sliced
    2 Yellow chili peppers, peeled and sliced
    1 Yellow onion, peeled, halved, and sliced
    4 strips of bacon, halved and sliced
    1 cup flour
    1 cup corn starch
    1 ½ teaspoons salt
    1 ½ teaspoons paprika
    ¼ cup mayo
    ¼ cup old-style (seeded) mustard
    2 tablespoons English Style Mustard
    1 teaspoon cider vinegar
    ¼ teaspoon liquid smoke
    Ultimate Burger Sauce:
    Mix together Mayo, Old-Style Mustard, English Style Mustard, vinegar and liquid smoke and sit aside.
    Breading:
    Mix together flour, corn starch, salt and paprika
    Directions:
    Dredge sliced peppers, onion and bacon in breading mixture, the fry until golden-brown in cooking oil (preheated to 350ºF). Remove from oil and allow to drain on rack, or paper towel.
    Season patties with salt and cook on a griddle, running at medium-high heat, along with the hamburger buns, if you’d like them toasted. When you see the color changing a little over halfway up the patty, flip. After about one minute, place cheese on patties.
    While you are waiting for the cheese to melt, begin dressing the buns, but placing a layer of shredded lettuce on the bottom bun. Once the cheese is melted, place the patty on top of the lettuce. Top the cheese with dill pickle slices, the fried bacon, onion and peppers. Spread an even layer of sauce on the top bun and “crown” your burgers.

    ExMark really is one of, if not the best riding mower brands. Worked in landscaping for 13 years... their mowers are really tough to beat. Dixie Chopper is right up there with them.
    Stihl will always be my go-to for weedeaters and blowers though. Maybe Husqvarna for chainsaws.

    6:41 I have a rule when cooking burgers if the patty doesn't look like that with the crust when you flip it, you didn't cook the burger right. The Pan wasn't hot enough and depending on how thin your burgers are it can take 2-5 minutes per-side to cook the patty and get it like that.

    Quality video. But seriously wtf is wrong with just having a gd cheeseburger. U could have stopped with just the mustard And this would have been a good burger. Not sure why so many folks try to make them the size of bowling balls with a hundred things piled on it. I'd take a Ron Swanson burger over this 100 percent of the time.
