  • Full build of Revell London Bus Routemaster 1:24 (07651). This is the second part of a series of videos which demonstrate the complete build. The videos provide in depth hints and tips which I think will be proved useful to people who want to build the kit.
    The second part include:
    1) Full assemble of the cabin.
    2) Painting of the decks.
    3) Weathering of the chassis.
    4) Build and installation of the seats.

It will take some courage to pick this box out of my stash and commence construction.

It certainly will. It took me 5 months to finish it and the build was not very smouth. But at the end it came out great and it is a quite impressive model.

@@GeorgeModellingforBeginners That's another problem : where to put it when finished ?

@@flitsertheo I have mine in the living room. The only model my wife let me display.

@@GeorgeModellingforBeginners Mine is a wife, kids and other pets free house but it has its own problems, such as the attic getting Sahara desert hot in summer and Antartica cold in winter. The rubber tyres of vehicles don't survive that for long.

@flitsertheo I think if the place is a dust free-ish, it should be ok. But I never tested my models at extreme conditions to be honest.

    Those seat frames how tedious!
Amazing what you're prepared to do for a goal.

Nice going! I'm finishing up this kit myself, ready to put in al the windows and little exterior parts like wing mirrors. I have to ask, what is the music you've used on this video? It's psychedelic and relaxing - I love it!

Also the music trucks are free ones from TH-cam creator studio. The trucks are: 01 Arms_of_Heaven, 02 Beyond_the_Lows, 03 Far_The_Days_Come and 04 Old Vienna. I am glad you like them.

I have painted inside walls of the drivers cabin as per instructions. Should the reverse side of these walls also be done in same colour i.e. black? If so , does this principle apply to front and back of all parts i.e. use the same colour?

The exterior cabin walls are not visible as other parts cover them. Usually the colour of the other side has to be called in the instructions. Alternatively, in go step ahead and check which part will be visible and make sure make it match with the surroundings. I hope this helps.

I'm doing this model but for some reason I can't get the engine to fit properly.

That is very strange! I had a lot of issues with this kit but the engine fit was not one of them.
