- 1/24 Scale London Bus Revell Modelkit Step by step building by Pablo Modelkits
A double-decker bus or double-deck bus is a bus that has two storeys or decks. They are used for mass transport in the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, New Zealand, Europe, Asia and also in cities such as Sydney; the best-known example is the red London bus, namely the AEC Routemaster. Early double-deckers put the driver in a separate cab. Passenger access was via an open platform at the rear and a bus conductor collected fares. Modern double-deckers have a main entrance door at the front and the driver takes fares, thus halving the number of workers aboard, but slowing the boarding process. The rear open platform, popular with passengers, was abandoned for safety reasons, as there was a risk of passengers falling when running and jumping onto the bus. Double-deckers are primarily for commuter transport, but open-top models are used as sight-seeing buses for tourists. William Gladstone, speaking of London's double-deck horse-drawn omnibuses, once observed that "...the best way to see London is from the top of a bus".

Wow! I've been building models since I was 10. I'm now 51 and I dont think I would try and tackle this kit! Superb job! So many parts. So many tedious repetitive builds like all the seats. That is patience!! Couple questions. What technique were you using when the clip was holding the cotton ball that was somehow attached to the body panel? Double sided tape on the cotton ball? Genius! Figures give it the finishing touch. Don't glue on the roof. Leave it detachable so you can see your hard work. Very enjoyable watch! Great build!! 👍😁

Hey Pablito, very nice work. A funny fact, around minute 38, the video image, is inverted, so it gives the illusion of having the driver's seat right on left side like in America 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. Kudos my man.

Hola!! Coloco primero las ventanas por varios motivos. Después de pintar pueden no encajar, tmb lo hago para tratar de manipular la maqueta lo menos posible después de pintar. El rojo que uso es tipo rojo Ferrari con un poquito de naranja para que se vea mas vivo. Si, después de pintar le doy una capa de barniz 😊
