I always call and tell them the police had already been there, and let me off with a warning.

I used to be afraid of these calls and I was afraid my parents were going to prison, now I'm not anymore and I know these are just selfish scams. Thank God the scammers don't call us anymore!

I get this every couple days a long with a couple other scams. It isn't even funny how often I get called for this scam and student loans. It is almost enough to drop the number.

Today, I got a voice message from the IRS and it somehow said that, it was gonna put me in court.. I was scared, so I immediately went to TH-cam and typed in "IRS voice message" and I ended up watching this video. Then, I decided to delete the voice message immediately. Is it a scam if the IRS was gonna put me in court? Please, help. :(

Lmaoo I never pick up call, so they just use voicemail, kid u not one literally said “u r in trouble for...... stuff”
Tho my mama got this and she knew it was a scam, after I explained. Should I call the number listed and mess wit em, I mean what are they gonna do.

My grandmother got a call like that two years ago. I kind of freaked out and told both her and my mom, but then my mom corrected me saying the IRS doesn’t call you.

Yes exactly the IRS is definitely not going to call you from a 253 number. It is a SCAM, they will send you a letter in the mail. By the way you have to call the IRS.

    Hmm. This scared me.
I'm like 14, so the call was a robotic man voice.
I guess it is a scam though since it was similar to the end message in this video.
Where it repeats the phone number to call.

The real IRS does not EVER contact you by phone demanding money, personal information, credit or debit card information, or even threaten you with legal action. That's a scammer's deceptive tactic designed to put people in a panic and try to trick you to buy in to their schemes, meaning they'd really want to empty your bank account of every penny you ever made.

As scary as they are, the real IRS will never make unsolicited calls. They will always send an official letter in the mail by US Postal Service. If you do in fact legitimately owe money to the IRS, know your rights. If you do owe money you have the right to appeal the amount that's owed in court which means you are entitled to an explanation of why. If anything the IRS will just garnish your wages.
