One problem with saying that the IRS will always send you mail first is that my "IRS representative" on the phone said the IRS had sent me mail twice and that it had been returned. If they say that, there is the fear of what if that did happen? I still didn't believe it, but that made it a little more plausible. His threat of the police arriving at my door within 30 minutes if I hung up the phone, while scary sounding, was reassuring in that it did not sound plausible.
I'm glad the Indians think they can get a cop to your door so quickly. They have obviously never dialled 911.... "Press 1 for murder", "2 for assault", "3 for loss of cell phone", etc.....
I got a call today on my cell phone. The man sounded very foreign, thick accent. I couldn't hear him, because his background noise was awful, like their was a big room of cubicles with 50 people all talking at once. I told him this twice and he kept telling me "no, no background noise I in my office". I said "who is this"? His reply "I am an agent with the IRS". (I'm not stupid and found it funny). I then said what do you want? He said "your name please?" I replied "you called me". So I gave him a fake name, then he asked for my social security number...I hung up. WOW...these dummies don't give up do they? Called me on 4/18/2017....TAX day! I called H & R Block and they gave me the info to report. I had the phone number kept in my phone.

The fact that this only has hundreds of views is sad
Good Point there. These kind of information should really be circulated and the kind of content you sleep with and wake up to each day.
