Call centers outside of U.S. jurisdiction should be banned. Some of these call center workers from Amazon, Microsoft, etc. have left their so called "legitimate" employment and have started working from scam call centers. The problem is they have taken people's personal identifying information with them from the legitimate work to the scam work.
I would think the Do Not Call registry is only for legitimate companies soliciting for their business (like MasterCard). Why would the scammers care about not paying attention to that list since they can't be found anyway to be fined. I hardly ever get scam calls, but a few days ago I won the Publisher's Clearing House prize of 350 million. I was so bland with my replies - Ya, sure, right... in a monotone bored voice, he caught on early and hung up on me. I hope he also put me on the 'Do not their bother to call' list!
+ Federal Trade Commision I'm glad you are proactively trying to educate consumers, albeit fairly novice info *_Is there anything on the horizon for foiling IP address & Phone number spoofing?_* Recently I've been getting an abnormal amount of phone calls with spoofed phone numbers. Thank you for your help

Millions of people every half second.
Todo el tiempo asen estas llamadas
good
Why all the white people? You know that the calls are really coming from someone Indian, with a very thick Indian accent, whose name is Bob.
I was thinking the same thing. Some of the scam calls come from Jamaica and Mexico as well.
