I just acquired a 2021 Jeep Renegade 4x4, the 80th Anniversary Edition. It’s black on black with tons of specials. I do want to lift the Renegade, perhaps 3 or 4 inches. I do want to eventually add 35 inch tires. Stock, they gave me 19 inch rims. I know I’ll probably need to get 17 inch rims instead. I’ll need to also add skid plates.
If you’re going to go wheeling you need the lift and the skid plates. Check out my TN Trail Jam trail ride, it really shows how go they can go!
May I suggest the LED Front side marker lights. Black out version.
I have a deserthawk. I do trails/camping/kayaking but no rock crawling. Id love to lift and get more aggressive tires and I love your rack system. Do you have a moon roof and does your rack block it?

Did you have any issues with your sway bar end links on the Teraflex lift kit? I have a ‘20 trailhawk wanting to lift and mod more! I’ve seen a lot of mixed reviews of the kit, but most people like it. I think I might add the eibach springs too as I heard it gives a lot more flex articulation off-road!
No, but I will state that it takes a few days for the suspension to settle into the lift. The Eibach springs will stiffen the ride and will increase the articulation. I may add down the road but I use it for long trips too. Thanks!

@@TheCarterMan What size Toyo tire did you fit with the lift? And did you do the pinch seam cut mod? Or just the spacers?

Yes, you have to do the pinch seem mod.
Was yours a 1.3l ?? I just put a lift on mine haven’t done bigger tires yet but I got massive wheel hop when I hit the gas. Taking it to dealer next week but thought I’d ask not to many people I spoke with have 21 TH models.
It's a 1.3 Turbo. I get mild wheel hop when accelerating hard, more of a vibration. It just something I got use too. Hope this helps.
Which lift did you get? I’m looking at lifting my 1.3 but it seems like a handful of people have had issues with vibrations afterwards with the 1.3.

I had the RC lift installed.. the shop told me the weight up front is to little and thus wheel hop .. hoping to put a winch with a bumper of avid or use the day star one if I have to.
Went to link in description for headlights. "NOT STREET LEGAL IN HEADLIGHTS IN USA"
Unless you change approved colors of amber or white you won't be stopped by LEO. I change the headlights knowing this fact. Thanks for the comment.
With that tire size did you do the pinch seem mod?
Toyo AT3 235/65/17 and the pinch mod was required. If you're worried about it, make sure the person doing it seals it properly so that it won't rust. Mine as a rubber epoxy on it with black paint
@@TheCarterMan Thanks for the reply. I don't want to do the pinch seem mod. Will just stick with the 225, don't think the difference in size will be that noticeable. Or can you notice a difference between the two if you started with 225?
@@dmbrownphotography2449 I went from the default 215's and didn't see the 225's. I've seen the 225s on our Renegades but I think the 235s look better but that's my opinion. I even like the 245s but I'm afraid of the CV axles.
Do you need the wheel spacers?
Yes. The 235/65/17s rub on the shock tower so the spacers are needed along with the pinch seem modification. You can do the 225s with no rub but I like the look of the bigger tire.
Do I need any harness upgrade for the led light change outs?
No it plugs in natively

Their pretty much rebranded all over Amazon. I had a set for a little bit with a different name. If you have the MySky it's noisey.

Not yet but I do have plans to install Daystar rock rails
How did the jeep do in the sand
It did well but the sand was really packed due to the road being used often.
The renegade does great in sand! I drove it over sandy roads and washes with deep sand in Utah last fall. It didn't have any problems and glided right over it. I did air-down the tires while off-road.
