- Today I fished a spot within a spot for springtime catfish fun. Channel bends in rivers are excellent spots to find hungry catfish. I found a portion of the channel bend that had all the right elements for success with a deep hole that is close to the bank and then swings out creating a large shallow mud flat with a lot of wood cover on it. I was throwing large skip jack heads for bait.

What test pound do you use
Glad you're still here Steve...I do know that once you have a heart attack, it will and can slow you down. Just take your time and don't over do it. I've slowed way down since mine and have trouble doing a LOT of things I use to do, but I still try. Glad you're back AND STILL here.

Glad you are feeling better and are out on the water again. Definitely need to deligate more in your business ventures so you can relax on the water. Was admiring you red rain suit. Looks like a Bass Pro Rain coat but it must be an older model. Can't find that particular one on the Bass Pro website. I'm in the market for some new rain gear and I really liked the suit you had. Steve, I'm still following your weight loss adventure..... I was 240 lbs last fall and not I'm down to 203 lbs... Most people are always in such a rush to lose pounds fast, but I have done that so many times before.... just to gain it all back.... I want to get down to maybe 190 lbs, but if it even takes three more months to get there , I know its going to happen..... Still enjoying my Oven Fried Catfish / salad and Home Grown Tomatoes or cantolope..

Been watching you slimming down and decided I needed to slim down also.... Last Fall I was 240 and as of this morning I'm down to 203 lbs. As you know, it all starts one day at a time.... So if it takes a couple of weeks for a whole month, I hope to be below 200 lbs soon. I had oven fried fish fillet for dinner tonight along with some home grown tomatoes and cantalope..
Sorry to hear about your heart disease I'm 66 I had 5 graft bypass at 48 I had no problems for about 15 years then 1 st heart attack then 2years latter 2nd heart attack I waited to long to drive to hospital so I damaged some heart muscle also had cancer of prostate that same year I'm telling u to eat right and stay active u will live a long time been watching u for 10 years now stay happy and healthy my friend im crappy fishing myself

So glad to see you back on the water and doing well. I just mounted your rod holders on my new boat, and they work great. I use those same crimpers for my surf fishing rigs I make. I hope you keep making videos and catching those big cats. If you ever come to Louisiana and want to relax on the beach and catch some big Bull Reds, give me a holler.

Sorry to hear about you having open heart surgery. I had my right big toe amputated in May. I'm doing well. The hardest part of it was no fishing for 3 weeks until I got the stitches out of my foot

I been through all that heart stuff, and I have 3 stents on top of that, geez man , that’s years of eating good food and good tasting food but it ain’t no good for you in the long run. Anyways, take care of the Ol ticker we all want to see you around for a long time yet! Take er easy bud! 👍👍🤙🏻✌🏻, wonder why some fish will do that, pick up your bait and swim off to one side or the other or swim back towards you, carry that bait a purty good ways and don’t even know their hooked or whatever. I’ve had flatheads that’ll do that, even big Ol flatheads, or bite like a dink. I don’t know, it’s all good though I reckon. Don’t apologize for nothing bud, you take care of Steve first and everything else comes later, like I said we want you around for a long time yet, take care of Número uno first!!
