  • Hi, the engine blew so I bought a good one. After install and all fluids filled, the engine starts right up however there is this sound that comes from the area where the transmission and the engine mate. Also the car will not go into gear. I had a lot of trouble getting the catalytic converter to go into the gear box ( transmission) during the install so I tightened the bolts until the trans and engine mated together.. My guess it that the torque converter is not all the way in and is hitting on the inside. Does a car mechanic know what I need to do to fix this and what is happening? Any help would be appreciated. I have already spent way more on this car than it's worth. It is a matter of pride now so please don't say crush it. I need to fix it. Thank you

I read your comment on Peter Finn the Car Doctors videos.
Were you able to remove the engine from above as Peter showed, or did you have to drop it out the bottom?
Is this noise due to the issue you were having that you asked him about?
Did you ever get this noise fixed?
    Thanks!
