Some nice riding top side of Luddington following the river bank back to Goole. At Keadby with the traffic lights at the bridge, the canal runs approx 200 yards behind my house on its way west towards Donny.
@@CalmBiker the canal is very popular with the boating community. Also, a couple of miles west from me, it joins the New Junction canal, which meets up with the Aire-Calderdale canal.
I swear by PinLock, it is an awesome invention.... until it stops working, can be a right pain getting them to fit the helmet visor properly, was it yourself that told me you thought the fit issues was due to who you dried your helmet? Someone said the other day to me that it shrunk a bit because of it. Lincolnshire is lovely, but I do prefer a hilly countryside to play bikes on 🙂Cadwell is awesome though, that is quite "Mountanous"! 😀 The morphene there is good too as is the hospital food 😀 I agree re straight lining... I like corners, so only using one side of the road makes them tighter and mre fun! 😀
The pinlock is causing nothing but problems at the moment. I keep trying it, getting fogging, taking it out, getting different fogging. I'm contemplating taping over the edges to see if it helps. It really doesn't seem to fit this lid well at all. Cadwell is a great place. Not had a bike on it but might at some point. I did visit and see a Mitsubishi Evo group go out. Twenty cars that took an age to reappear, expect only 19 did. One turned up later on the back of the flatbed looking more like a VW Beetle.
Enjoyed your video Richard, I've never been over the Humber Bridge. Talking of solar panels I was looking at some Octopus offers, you could do what they call a typical 3 bed semi for about £9600 with a battery system. Don't actually know how competitive that is.
I am looking at Octopus. About a thousand pounds cheaper with a 10kw battery system. I just need the confirmation that it's covered on my insurance and then I'll be going ahead I think.
Re the pinlock if you try to put a corner of a sheet of paper between the visor and the pinlock all the way round it will confirm that it's seated correctly. I.e. if the paper will not go between the two. Did that on my Schuberh and found an area not sealed. Adjusted the pinlock pins each side and all good. 7:17
There's definitely a gap. I keep adjusting but the paper trick it annoying difficult on this visor. They've put a lip around it for the pinlock to go in, which stops you getting a flat sheet underneath. Shame they didn't just keep a simple shape.
Have you done the roads/ lanes from Howden eastwards? Places such as Kipling, Saltmarshe, Blacktoft etc? I went around there for the first time a couple of days ago. Pretty flat as to be expected but different. Definitely don’t see much traffic down there.
The one I'm looking at, with the battery system, looks more like nine years. You can do some trickery with the battery too to get cheaper electricity overnight for use later in the day, which might speed it up a bit.
@@bykermike1233 I put down the deposit this week. It'll probably get installed in December so if it makes savings at that time of the year I'll be very happy 😀
I've done this ride it's a brilliant ride even better on warm sunny day lol
I shall have to try again when it's drier 😀

@@CalmBiker Have you tried adjusting the screws to tighten the pinlock against the visor?
@@HippoDrones I have but to no avail. One even popped apart. It took quite a while to find it again!

I'm surprised that solar is a thing in the UK with all that cloud cover you get! 🤣
When they invent rain panels we will have free energy forever!

I haven't yet but will be doing for the challenge.
Judging by the weather alone, this could have been yesterday. Warmer, at least, hopefully.
It was a bit warmer. Nicely warm enough to dry me out before I got back home 😀
@ 8:29 what did they top that road with? Was it black Swiss cheese?
I think black toffee 😀
Had a quote last year for solar, worked out it would take 20 years to pay back...not really worth it at my age so didn't bother!

@@CalmBiker Nine years is feasible if you can make the savings that they claim. We aren't heavy users so the savings do not warrant the outlay.
