You need to take care in the Sunk Island area, legend has it a wild Fillingham roams the lanes! lol. I believe that’s the church he often pulls up at. That motorcycle coming in the opposite direction may even have been him. A nice quiet area for a ride around.
When you got in to Paull (where the church is) at the bend there is a white building with a blue window frame. There is a sign saying 'car park'. It is a private road but the car park at the other end is public. You can walk all around there and go to the two small lighthouses. The glass panels on the wall next to the Humber Estuary were put there a few years ago for the flood defence. 17:17, that is the path I told you about in a comment on one of your other videos. That public path goes to a roundabout, then left. By your video you would have gone around that big roundabout where there is a big truck company with loads of trucks and vans (depending on when you go past) in the car park and a Shell garage with a small Asda. That is where you can see a load of the wind turbine blades. Sometimes you can see the bodies of them as well. At the other end of the path you can go right to a public car park. There is no barrier or anything so if you want, you can just ride straight over the edge in to the Humber.
I went to the little lighthouses a while ago with Mrs C in the car. It's quite a nice walk around there too. I have them on my list to visit on the bike too, though that list is ever-growing to the point I might never complete it 🤣 I will definitely have to go back to get a better view of the turbine bits. I would like to get the drone up too. Just got to be careful since the rules on flying near prisons became a lot more restrictive.
@@CalmBiker If you want any sort of videos, you might need to check with them. They have cameras down that path. They might get a thingy if they see video cameras or drones. Years ago I asked ABP (not Siemens) if I could take photos of the anchors outside of their main ABP office. They said yes, but they acted as though they did not want me there at all. And they said to have no people at all in the photos.
I've been following these videos on Google Maps which I always find fascinating. In planning my upcoming UK trip, I've spent many hours scrolling maps working out distances an items of interest. Those are some massive blades! I saw one on the side of the road as a roadside installation on my recent South Australia trip. According to my students, patience is one thing I have lots of apparently! 🤣
I do the same with a lot of motovloggers, including yourself. I do love a good map. When they put the blade installation in the centre of the city it was quite the operation to get it in and out again. Lots of street furniture removed temporarily. I would imagine they're very difficult to move around.
I could be wrong but I’m led to believe that once those blades reach the end of their useful life they’re buried as land fill. So maybe not so environmentally friendly after all. 😏
@@thesilverfoxtravels6653 It wouldn’t be a surprise. It does seem that many things that get classed as environmentally friendly either aren’t to start with, or when it comes to disposal. No wonder many people are sceptical about the whole subject, even if they agree environmental issues are important.
Interesting ride Richard, if you ever fancy some company on your exploration I'd love to join you. I am rather slow , and i hope this doetsound a bit odd. Just moved over here and don't know many people here.
@@ChristopherBrownbill-g8f Not sure to be honest. I would like to get out this weekend, weather dependent, before I'm on call for another couple of weeks.

Terrifying! 😀

@@angelwarrior8013 If you stay on public land for photography it's OK. Not sure what the status is there though.

Certainly there are problems with disposal. Hopefully they'll come up with a better answer for that part.

The lanes between Spurn and Hull are interesting to travel a while since I have been around there probably not been since I sold the 250 😮
I have a few left to fill in over there. Maybe a CL500 / CB500X trip? 🙂
They are bigger in the flesh when you see one up close rather from a distance.
When you see them out at sea the look big. When you realise how far away they are it's amazing. They looks close but are just enormous!
Them blades are HUUUUUGE 🙂
Have you seen the video I did of the blade in the city centre. They really are massive (and that's not the biggest ones).
@@CalmBiker I think so... or may be confusing it with another channels vid... was it right in the centre of the city square or somit like that?
That's the one, yes. @@HippoDrones

Always happy for some company. Perhaps join Graham and I for a lane bimble and a cuppa.
Love to
When are you next planning a bible? It would be great to join you.
