Hey Dan, The Ventura is looking great and moving along very well! Thanks for the shout out Brother, I am happy you are repurposing my 70 Nova parts, the master cylinder will work flawlessly!
Great to see the kids there helping. You're creating core memories for them. Even if they don't remember exactly, what they did, he will remember helping dad build the rear of the car. Of course, as he gets older, likely the story will be that HE built it and SHE put in the gas tank. That being said, the little dude needs eye pro when wire wheeling. Those steel wires hurt when they hit your eye, ask me how I know!
Wat I love about ur channel is ur working out of a one car garage getting shit done with the fam I have a lot of friends that say they can’t get shit done cus they have no room when I’m over here building my Camaro in a one car lol
@@aaronk4241 thanks brother! There is ALOT one can accomplish in a 1 car garage. Don’t get me wrong I could definitely work more efficiently with more space but I don’t let that serve as an excuse for not getting things done.
@hatchsrecreationalengineer1997 love I'm building a 82 firebird in a gravel driveway with no garage my self getting it done putting a motor in it this Thanksgiving break taking it from my 79 monza it's smashed up and tore apart from the powerplant I'm using tie those subframes in when u make power or it'll destroy the car thanks for the content man that's why I subbed keep it coming sir
You’re doing another great job..get these cars back on the road..Love that the kids are getting involved…keep putting these videos out there..sooner or later the word will get out about your videos and they will take off
Enjoy your videos, keep em coming. Do a 78 next. I need some motivation for mine.( Nova). I know they aren't the most desirable but they are still pretty cool when done right
I was sooooo close to closing a deal on a fourth gen nova last weekend but the seller flaked on me. I agree with you that when done correctly you can make those fourth gen cars look pretty rad. Tricky to get to hook up though when you start putting some power to them.
@hatchsrecreationalengineer1997 the biggest problem is nobody makes trunk pans and almost all I've found need the trunk pan replaced. I bought a Pontiac Phoenix that I hope to be able to get the pan out of but patching one I guess doesn't really matter nobody will ever see it. Lol
@hatchsrecreationalengineer1997 hey I'm not judging, I'm with ya.. when I was doing my c10 I went from trying to use old parts to I'm going to replace all of it back to I really need to recycle some of this once my wallet started crying
I tried to find more info on it about how many were made but PHS didn’t really have any groundbreaking information. Best they could tell me was that in ‘72 78,000 Venturas were manufactured and of those “maybe” 10% were “sprint” package cars.
The Sibling Car w/The Chevy Nova... Similar To The Camaro & Firebird F-Bodied Siblings. I've always liked it that GM mixed things around to be a choice for everyone brand wise, etc., Anyways, I've found that the plastic sheets used when shipping items on pallets(usually gray/black in color)& placed under the items on the pallet, are pretty good for laying on while doing car repairs on the garage floor use cardboard for catching oily jobs on top of the sheet. Good Luck with your Sprint by the way!!!.
I'm happy to see you get another video out. Brakes, the most important part of a classic besides the fire extinguisher. Safety first. Your video got me moving on to the shop to work on the collection. Thanks Dan, and have a great weekend. Your Minnie Me has him a great daddy and a good future. The world needs more Fathers like you! Good job
He is absolutely an amazing dad. Thank you for noticing and your kind words. It’s tough for him to juggle life and still find time to put this content together..thank you for supporting him and don’t forget to share his videos with friends
F-41 suspension with the rear sway bar and thicker front bar (and some other things) is pretty unusual in that generation of X-body, although Pontiac installed a lot of them in Venturas compared to Chevrolet with Novas. The upper anchor fittings had to go in at Fisher Body. Cool option to have.
Awesome videos, you should use plasti-cote low gloss black on the heater box and firewall. It matches the factory black paint much better, and wont have fingerprint stains all over it 👍 we love watching your videos brings back lots of memories of my younger days!
For that adapter for the combination valve. NAPA should carry it? For some reason GM made the fitting larger than the rest of the lines and the same for all the replacement lines sold. I used to have the part number memorized but it's been years since I used one and have forgotten it now. We used to do a LOT of brake lines on cars here in the rust belt! If your local parts store doesn't have the fitting I have cut off the old one and used it to make a new flare onto the new line many times as well.
Usually just suck it up and hold saw the top and put a body plug on the top especially if it’s getting frame connectors Looked like a turd when you got it , really isn’t that bad though cool!
These are just some old leaf springs someone gave me. The reason you need mono leafs isn’t because of your car it’s because of the mounts welded to your rear differential. They do make a kit to use your stock differential perches and convert it to a multi leaf spring. Check it out www.camarocentral.com/1967_1969_Camaro_DSE_Mono_to_Multi_Conversion_p/sus-525.htm
So those bolts that broke on the leaf spring pocket, how did you end up going about fixing those? I have a 73 Ventura and getting ready to change my rear end and adding subframe connectors so I will have to mess with these bolts. Car is not rusty so that’s my only chance. 😂
@@koltonshotrods I have had them break on every nova I have touched (rusty or not). Once you cut the head off of them you can fish them out of the pocket. Everything about the Ventura is the same as the nova except for front clip and tail panel. So yes you could definitely convert one to be a nova. Many people have done this since it is sooooo difficult and expensive to find the Pontiac parts if you are missing any of them.
@@jct300m yes. It has had a repaint at some point but the orange is original. As a “sprint” package car it had a stripe down the sides where remnants can still be scene in the door jams.
As cool as those cars are I can’t believe someone would pay to store a car that long in that bad condition. You could have bought one in great shape for the storage fees.
It does seem crazy that someone would pay to keep it that long. The previous owner had big dreams of restoring the car but life just kept getting in the way and he never got to it.
I throughly enjoy watching your content. Your jokes, vibes, and car choices. All epic!
Thanks man!! I really appreciate that! I really enjoy making the content it’s cool to hear that other people enjoy it.

Thats gonna be a Nice car. I like the looks more than a Nova. Make sure to check out the movie 'Seven Ups'....you will see why it's relevant!!!!
