I have the 28 with humidity control, works great for me in a very low humidity desert environment. I did find someone with a 3D printer that made quail egg holders for the turner and they work great. Lastly, I cut a piece of that perforated rubbery shelf liner to fit the bottom for lockdown and agree, just rinse it off. I also mist eggs with warm water that are remaining after "first hatch" before I replace lid and think that helps improve hatch ratefor those baybees that are about to pip
My 3 year old grandson calls them 🦕 eggs. I gave my son a few dozen eggs the other day. My grandson told his dad "we gonna hatch them". He loves watching them hatch and holding them when they are tiny.
I bought the little giant on your recommendation and bought Myshire eggs and hatched out at 73% hatch rate and couldn’t be happier got 35 chicks moving from brooder to the hutch tomorrow at 3 weeks old
Hello Chris enjoyed the video. I have just started some quail eggs in my incubator. I am building a cage on your design. I live in Amhertburg ontario Canada. All the best Mike.
Great video Chris! If I had seen this video before quailcon we could have had some conversation about your little green machine in the background. It seem that we have similar interests other than quail. I was the guy with the Blue Bay shepherd.
I admit I don't know the first thing about incubators except what you just showed me. But, there's always a but, would it be easier to get the eggs out if you removed the divider first? Thank for a great video. God bless you and your family.
Congrats on the hatch ,Chris!!🎉🎉

Maybe some day I can get a Brinsea, but I'm starting my first hatch with the Little Giant this weekend.

Have you done a dry hatch with quail?
Are the eggs Jumbos or standards?
I have shopped around and find that I can buy 1 day old chicks for about the same price as eggs and they have no guarantee of hatching . 🤔🤷♂️
So you started with 85, you hatched 51 with 50 surviving...how many more? You just left us hanging.
