Love your content, great info which helps me learn a bit more each time I watch. Ordered two 850 154 2" BC XRS for '25... Can't wait to pick them up. Wife's getting tired of me yapping about sleds 🤓 She's learning too though.
Best off trail sled I’ve ever ridden? Elan 250ss! No worries if you get stuck, just pick it up and move it. And 30mph on that feels like 200 on a modern sled! In all seriousness, the backcountry may replace my Renegade in a couple years. I do enough off trail riding that the compromise is probably worth it, especially since off trail is only 5km ride from my house.
Haha thats a good point! Ya absolutely the backcountry is a blast off trail and is pretty good on the trail so if you do a good amount of off trail it is forsure the sled for you. Cheers, Jesse
Dave did an excellent job explaining where each sled shines and I can resonate with everything he said. Had a 3 backcountrys the last 5 years, put 15000kms between them on and off trail. Went out west for the first time last year and was hooked. This season I’m now on two dedicated sleds, renegade xrs for trail and summit x for off trail. Backcountry is a great all purpose sled, just not “perfect” for either trail or off trail.
Renting is a Great idea. I rented a Backcountry while in Moonbeam last season. Fell in love with it and purchased one over the summer. It's sitting in my driveway now. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! Hello from Sudbury 😊
Id love to have you guys out to Kelowna BC this year! Perfect terrain for easing into the mountains safely. I’ve got a 2021 turbo in the fleet and Banner Rec has gen5s available. Budget tours designed for specifically Ontarians. Come ride the west!!!
This has been on my bucket list for years and keep saying every year I'm going to do it. And as the years go by, the more and more outa shape I get which is a bit of a concern! Send me an email at mike@sledaddicz.com as I'd love to chat about it. Cheers, Mike
I went from Mxz 121 to a Backcountry 137 and now Summit 850 154 x 3 I ride in central Alberta and in the steep and deep of B.C there is no right sled do what you can to be good rider
