    Dude. I’ve been wanting to get into 3D printing for a while now, and on Christmas Day, Amazon had the ender 3 pro for $160 USD. It comes in today, and since ordering it, this glorious algorithm put your videos in my radar. You are incredibly open and helpful in a space where people could EASILY gatekeep! Thank you so much!!!

    You have great advice. I have been printing for 3 months solid and the best way to learn is just Print... Hair spray is still my go-to adhesion solution. Treseme #4 hold

    All people have to do you watch your 3d printing video an go from there. Like I said you saved my printers from going in the trash. I used what I learned from your video's to print my stuff right. Atomic filament is good too, it runs though my printers so smooth, amazon was ruining my printing heads.

    Hi, I recently purchased the sunlu petg that you used and I haven't been able to get it to work, it usually doesn't extrude and it can barely print a benchy, I was wondering what you had used for your settings like print speed and temp for it?

    Hey Frank... I heard you mention flexible PLA? Is it easier to finish than TPU? More durable? Less durable? Is it still PLA? In other words... I found 3DGloop to be the BEST way to finish PLA and bind parts together. I am wondering if it will still do well on flexible PLA since it works at the molecular level to bind the parts.

    Hey-
    So I got the Ender 5 plus and had some good test prints with no problem so, but then upgraded the Capricorn Tube and extruder after a clogged nozel(moved the printer and didn’t re level...my fault) First print after upgrade was with Sunlu PLA+ and the third layer of the raft would not lay down right after multiple attempts. The layers are separating and lifting. I releveled and got same result on the 3rd layer. Tried regular Sunlu PVA and same thing. I was using .3 layer height and 70mm speed. Dropped to 80% during print and seems to be better as it does the 4th layer. I am at 210 degrees and 60 bed temp. Anything else it could be other than speed?

    • @FranklyBuilt
      @FranklyBuilt  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That honestly still sounds like a temp issue. I run 100mms average with no issues.

      I am running standard PLA at 210. How high should I go? I got the PLA+ to work well at 240 but was hard to get the supports off. Not sure if that is related or not. I have .6 nozzles coming as I know you said you use those.

  • @jeepcherokee24
    @jeepcherokee24 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    you said bondo is a waste of time -- since you print your helmet upside down you're going to end up with a gaps on the sphere. that's a LOT of wood filler to fix that - or do you not get gaps in your spheres?

    • @FranklyBuilt
      @FranklyBuilt  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don’t get gaps. I know what you mean. Trust me. But typically that type of stuff falls into print quality. If you’re getting those rings then it can be a sign of poor support and or adhesion at the bottom few layers.

    • @jeepcherokee24
      @jeepcherokee24 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@FranklyBuilt interesting I'll have to try on a small scale to get rid of them. I did high resolution prints and was still getting them, but I'm not sure on my support structures then. Thanks

    Black absorbs heat so it makes sense to print hotter.

    • @gabbyaraniego396
      @gabbyaraniego396 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not entirely true. Black only absorbs more heat from light. It has no effect on heat from other sources.
