I am happy to share my knowledge, but I'm afraid I'm keeping Greg to myself, Kerrie! 😂 You may be seeing him in more tutorials in the future, though! Thank you so much for your kind words about him and about me! 😍
This was full of information and it was so FUN 'doing what we aren't supposed to do' and testing the waters -what a terrific idea! I especially appreciate your summing it up at the end where we can see them all together! Greg was a lot of fun, too, with the note he slipped in there. This was SO AWESOME! Thank you!!!
I am new to all this cricut stuff so I am open to it all I tend to go in full speed of all that I have watched on youtube. ... ready for this.... YOUR THE BEST,!!!! Thanks for sharing so much with us..
This was fun and informative Jennifer. I thank you for doing all these tests like you did. I was really surprised by the iron-I did not expect it to work and the moving of the Easy Press I really expected a lot of ghosting. Thanks to Greg for all his help with the testing as well. It would be nice to have a product like this to work on cotton since a lot of people prefer cotton as polyester is just so hot to wear. Especially if you are an outside worker. People are wanting to go back to more natural things. I so love this idea of the infusible ink though, just wish it worked on cotton. Again, thanks for all the tutorials and testing Jennifer. I do want to try this one day soon. Hugs, Brenda
I have to tell you, you are the best teacher ever! You are very descriptive and informative without overdoing it to the point of being boring. I am brand new the cricut scene. I have already learned so much watching your videos and have so many new projects I want to try now. I can't wait! Thank you for doing everything you do. Now for my question.... Do you think a quilting press board would be an equivalent to the Cricut easy press mat? Mine is homemade with a small cut sheet of 1/2" plywood, 2 layers of 100% cotton batting, and a decorative layer of 100% cotton fabric.
Thanks so much for your kind words! :) Yes, that sounds very similar. It's hard to say 100% as I haven't tested out your press board, but I would go for it! :)
Hi Jennifer, I recently discovered infused ink markers and was anxious to give it a try. I watched your don'ts video then had my grandson draw me 4 pictures. They came out wonderful. Thanks for showing me the way.
What your doing is simply amazing and your video tutorial tutoring turned me into an even more so inspired individual. I'm going to be honest ma'am, you'd be one heck of a blazing and amazing professor or Teacher at a University of "what you've got going on" 😂. I deeply want to say ma'am thank you for doing what your doing. You've made my day. Thank you thank you thank you!
Thank you for doing these experiments. I'm planning to start using infusible ink soon and this was so helpful and interesting! I learned a lot. Thanks again!
I think my favorite part of this video was the beginning. I love that recap of all the videos I need to go watch in addition to this. I only have three rolls of infusible ink, and I plan NOT to waste it all, LOL!
I love your videos because you're so straightforward and precise without a lot of filler or odd camera angles AND you don't skip steps thinking we already know. So for that, I thank you! But my question is, when we have to use laser paper for a print and cut, can we still use an ink jet printer?
I wouldn't unless the paper was designated for both inkjet and laser. In my experience, because the coating on laser paper didn't absorb the ink properly properly or dry fully, my resulting images were smeared.
I know this video is 3 years old almost but if you still have the beat up iron you maybe able to clean it up pretty easily with stainless steel appliance cleaner on a paper towel (small amount sprayed on it). My mom got some sort of adhesive on my good Rowenta iron and I was able to clean it nicely. Irons smooth as butter again! Also thank you for all the trial and error and successes on this video!!!!
You are so welcome, Jess! We have a new free series of online classes that show you how to set up your machine as a new Cricut owner, if you haven't seen those yet! It's a great way to get started! 😍 Here's the link to sign up: makeracademy.com/cricutkickoff

After looking at the video with the infusible ink pen canvas tote video on fb. I stumbled upon this video on youtube. However, i was about to ask about this topic and here it is. You answered a lot of questions in this video that I needed to know . You are so amazing with Cricut products
First, I love that Greg helps you during these videos. Great job Greg! I have learned a lot from your videos and recently gave your name to a friend who just got a cricut. So just a few notes, When working with everyday iron on, if you move the easy press it moves the items that are trying to be transferred. When I first started with the infusible ink i did not have any cardstock so i used an old white dish cloth to cover my mat that worked fine. Question, have you tried to use the easypress mini yet?
Yes, I have a Minipress, and I LOVE it! It's just great for getting in to small places, like on shoes or hats, that are too big for even the smallest Easy Press! 🥰
Had to get a new iron a few years ago because one of my cats kept biting the cord leaving tiny hole. Now I have two as my brother replaced the cord! Thanks to brothers with know how!

So so happy I saw this I had a shirt that was faded a little I took my pens N marker to fill it in. NO NO 😂 It bled and the color was darker. Thank you so much for this tutorial it was so helpful I watch the whole thing.

Thanks for all your help!
Wow I'm impressed with the iron cuz I always feel the companies want u to only use their products and I own alot of cricut and I find they truly try to make it that u only u what they say...even after spending HUNDREDS of bucks so lk the video try other products um sure alot more than we think work...thx for the video
hello Jennifer, so glad to be part of your club. I received a cricket explore for Christmas !!! oh boy I have a question as my iron only goes to 350. do you have a calculation method to compensate for this situation ??? thank you for your time !! Suzanne
Hello Jennifer! thank you so much for all your tutorials! I bought cricut machines because of you! and yes i blame your awesomeness!! 😂 I can’t wait to try them i got some supplies too, but haven’t tried one yet. curious if color laser gloss paper will work on infusible ink transfer?
Laser gloss paper? Regular laser printer paper is what was used here. If you have that it is worth a try to test it. We have not tested gloss laser paper. jennifermaker.com/infusible-ink-pen-projects/ Here is Cricut's FAQ in Infusible Ink pens. help.cricut.com/hc/en-us/articles/360023925294-Infusible-Ink-FAQ
Hi Sherry! You can divide your design into smaller sections that the Cricut EasyPress can cover. It's okay if the Cricut EasyPress overlaps sections that have already been ironed-on. Cover your design with the EasyPress then move your EasyPress to a new section and repeat until the heat has been applied to the entire design. 😊
Thanks sooo much Jennifer...you are TERRIFIC! I just got my Cricut Maker 3 and I have been watching several of your video's and I have been very successful in doing 7 different shirts. My name is Patty Ashton, NC 8/30/22
At the 31:12 mark of your video, you say something about how you saw someone layer with multiple presses instead of putting all your layers onto one transfer sheet, which is what you would recommend. The question I have is: what do you mean about layering with multiple presses being what you recommend because I thought the demonstration you were doing in this video is pressing something more than once and maybe I misunderstood, but I couldn't tell that you thought doing so was a good idea? Perhaps I'm just confusing things (which wouldn't be unusual.....), but the reason I ask this question is because I watched a video of someone using the heat press to make a t-shirt with an Infusible Ink image and the image was larger than the heat press, so she heated a section at a time and that meant she was overlapping sections (which meant some areas of the image were being pressed more than once) - she had a couple separate transfer sheets for the large image and if they overlapped anyplace, she cut the overlapping part off. I apologize for rambling - I'm just new to using a Cricut and trying to figure things out. I really appreciate all of your help - your website and videos are so helpful! Cricut Infusible Ink: What NOT to Do!
My list of cricut mistakes is much greater than my list of successes. 1. Make sure you place the correct side down, or you'll iron it on to the bottom of your cricut press. 2. Don't use your press on a painted surface or the back side of your shirt will have paint burnt to it. 3. Buy good quality material or you'll have a waste of time and money. I'm almost 60, this has been quite a struggle. If it wasn't for your videos, I would've already asked my husband for the receipt to return my christmas gift.
Yes, you're right Marla! It takes many many mistakes to find the successes unfortunately! You are not alone so don't give up, you've got this! And I bet you don't make those mistakes again, lol! 💗
Should the t-shirts be washed prior to heat pressing and can you use colored card stock instead of white? Very informative. Thank you so much for doing all these videos. 💕
Cricut recommends that you do NOT wash the shirts before applying infusible ink! You can use any color cardstock you want, but there is a chance that your blank will take on the color of the cardstock, as the ink converts into a gas during the heat transfer process and it could bond with adjacent items or layers. Butcher paper and cardstock act as a barrier to protect your blank, Cricut EasyPress Mat, and Cricut EasyPress heat plate from unwanted transfer. The paper also helps capture any moisture that is released during the pressing process. So, I would just be safe and use while cardstock! 😉🥰
I so want a "Greg" ! So helpful, hardly ever seen and never heard! I have been married for 48 years, so envious! I so love your teaching.

I use Parchment 📜 baking paper!!! IT WORKS! No problem with it! Got it from Amazon

I did too!
Tried parchment as well, it’s a great money saving hack. Also the freezer paper for cutting fabrics in the explore was a game changer.

Yes they do. It is important to only use heat resistant tape with Infusible Ink.
You answered so many of my questions today. My friend has been asking me if you can use your iron well i was able to answer that.

Butcher paper is the same on both sides, there should be no coating 😊🌻

Usually brown butcher paper is waxed. I have found that the unwaxed is sometimes referred to as "white Kraft butcher paper"
do you think its the same as Parchment paper? that is not waxed or coated.
@@dygonproductions7062 I was wondering if parchment paper could be used too!
Hi Jennifer can you tell me what you do when your design is bigger than your heat press? Thanks

Cricut Infusible Ink: What NOT to Do!
You can do it either way. The press time would be reduced on the layers to avoid over pressing.
So helpful! Thank you so much
Love your videos
Thanks so much! 😃💜
Have you tried using the sublimation markers on sublimation paper?
You only need to use laser paper for the Cricut Infusible Inks makers. It works great and is less expensive.
Thank you so like your teaching
Awesome video! Thanks.
Wow loved the video wonderful information. Where did you get your fusible sheets? I see it’s time for a Amazon order lol
I get my infusible sheets from Cricut.com! 😉😊
Love to learn new things!!

This was a great project 😜
Thanks!
Have you ever tried using infusible ink on 1/8" soft leather?
Infusible ink only works on polyester or sublimation friendly materials.
