Let me tell you, your videos are the only ones that explain things to me properly. Your concise step by step tutorial is extremely helpful. Thank you!!
Thanks for this detailed video Angie. My husband is a realtor and I like to make personalized house warming gifts for his clients after they buy a home. Everything doesn't always have to be about money. Sometimes it's good to invest in something that you can use to bring someone else joy...a little smile, or some comfort. Cricut makes being thoughtful easier. At least for me anyway.
I tried this on 100% Cotton. It did transfer but after I washed most of the ink is gone. I tried it on polyester cotton blend and it was okay and it didn’t wash out as much as the 100% Cotton. My best result came from a no boundaries shirt ( 92% polyester and 8% spandex) it did not wash out. It still looks as good as the Cricut blank shirt.
Thank you for the opportunity! I would like to raise money for my community that was hit by a tornado a couple months ago, and I feel that the heat press would make the process flow better in the different items we make and sell to give back to the community.
Fantastic video. You speak so plainly so your tutorials are really clear and very helpful. Thanks Angie! Ps...your hands and nails look like mine and other real crafters...paint...ink..other stuff, no long distracting nails, thanks!
Angie Baby!!! Love ya. Thanks for this. I love your clear, precise instructions, no extra stuff, right to the point so I can go get my craft on! Thanks for all you do.
Thanks for the hands on look- I have done some shirts, but really needed to see the pens in action. Very good video presentation too.. I’’m ready to jump in and use the pens now...👍🏼😁
New cricut user here. I just bought the joy.. looking to get the explorer air 3 next. Your video was very clear and easy to understand. Thank you so much. 💓
Thank you for this video. I just got my first Cricut Maker and Easy Press. I am having a blast. But after watching this video I now know why my transfer sheets did not work on the apron I was making. This was of great help.
Great video. You did an amazing job instructing this. There are just some out there when I need a tutorial and they just talk so much extra stuff that by the end, I am like, wait, what did she say or just totally confused. I subscribed and definitely will be coming to you for the how to videos for sure!!! Thanks again!
Hi Angie, you just got yourself a new subscriber. I just recently got my new Cricut Maker 3 and as a beginner (even though I've been a crafter almost all my life, but in a different direction ... Miniatures and Dollhouses) it was hard to find out what I could do with my machine and especially how to use all the available materials and tools. Your videos are soooo helpful, so thanks so much for everything you do. I found tons of videos but only subscribed to your channel and to Jennifer Maker's, that all I need to get going with my Cricut. Hugs from Germany ❤️
This as such an informative video, thank you so much for lending your expertise. I just purchased a Cricut Maker and a Easy Press 2 and I can't wait to get started.
Thank you for such an informative tutorial. You did a great job confirming that I don't need to participate in this gimmick. The benefits of this do not outweigh the cost or the effort needed. I'll stick to HTV.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I watched several videos and have bought the infused vinyl BUT have not used it because I was not confident. I AM SO READY!🥰🥰🥰🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🥰🙏🏽🥰🥰🙏🏽🎉🎉🎁🎊🎊🎊
I tried this out today on a Gildan shirt that was 50/50 cotton and polyester and it worked just fine. I haven't washed it or anything yet but it seems to look promising haha
Just a note: I have been working in this industry for a pretty long time now (not wanting to show my age). I have come to learn that the manufacturers of clothing design tshirts (specifically) to last for 50 washes. I KNOW I KNOW... I've got tshirts that I have had for decades (oops, age showing). HOWEVER, as with everything there is a "life expectancy" and 50 washes is the magical number. So, the "life" of a tshirt and the ink is probably 50 washes. Who will be here to show us a shirt that makes it to 100 washes??? :D This is an exciting product for the 'at home' market. I have been using large format printers and HTV for a few years and still prefer that method - it is quicker.
Your video is extremely helpful - thank you! Just did my first infusible ink project and it turned out great! You answered a lot of questions I had going in to it, so thanks for being so through with the info and process!
Infusible products ARE available at Wal-Mart. Idk if they were not previously but they have been since I found out about infusible ink and that was a year ago. Saw it in Walmart on an end cap and had no idea why these t shirts and onsies were so special and what the ink was. Just a fyi bc although I like Michael's, a medium white woman's v neck t-shirt for infusible ink was almost $3 cheaper at Walmart.
this was a great tutorial, so you can write with the pens on regular paper and it still transfers.. I didn't know that.. here i'm looking for special paper..LOL
Angie! I so enjoyed your video. Thank you for breaking things down into easy to understand and follow directions! I’m now subscribed to your channel. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with next!♥️ THANK YOU!
Use material of at least 65% polyester content. The less poly content the more heathered it will look, but you need at least 65% for it to show well. Any shirt or product of high poly content that can be heat set will work. This is dye sublimation, period. Instead of dye sub ink printed onto coated paper to be transferred, you’re cutting preprinted paper or dye sub ink in marker form rather than dye sub ink in bottles to put into a bulk ink delivery system for a printer.
I like that the tote designs were on one tote bag lol. Nice video though, I keep seeing invisible ink ads but lno description of what it is/capable of. It’s really neat. Hopefully some companies will put out cheaper products of it all because as others have said, you can spend a lot more making a shirt than just buying one.
This was a good tutorial but the lighting was so bright it was off and hard to see the images. However it doesn't take away from this being VERY DETAILED AND INFORMATIVE TUTORIAL START TO FINISH.
Yes you can use a regular cotton shirt sweater whatever it don’t have to be Infuse kind it works just fine on my tank tops as well as face mask so save some money n buy regular cotton shirts Nothing too fancy
This product will wash right out of cotton shirts or anything else that doesn't have polyester. You don't have to buy Cricut shirts but they do need to be at least 75% polyester content.
Hello Angie, help, l have a problem, I have a cricut explore air 2 and the pen adapter is broken, and the adapter on the cricut website is out of stock, so can I use the sharpie pen adapters. Thank you.
I’ve not done this yet but will soon. Cricut does sell the polyester shirts at a great price. Four dollars for adult and $3.20 for youth. Clearance sale I guess. Infusible ink also on sale. The bad part is to get free shipping you must spend $99.00.
Late to the party, but so glad I found this video! Question: I saw a video where someone used multipurpose paper [for both laser and inkjet printers] and it looked like it came out great. Can multipurpose paper be used instead of purchasing laser printer-only paper? Many thanks!
It's still kinda like sublimation. I use sublimation and it requires a high percentage of polyester to transfer. I guess the Cricut process is a little less expensive because you don't have to purchase the Sawgrass printer and the very expensive inks that go along with the printer, and the special items that you have to use.
I want to put a design on a 4x4 canvas bag. I was going to use a mini press but what should I do to prevent the ink from going to the back. Will putting butcher paper on the inside resolve that?

Thank you for answering a question that I had about butcher paper. I wasn’t sure if it was the same as parchment paper or freezer paper and now I know thank you. Also you said that you used laser copy paper for the infusible ink pen. Can you use plain printer paper?
The copy paper just needs to be able to withstand heat. My regular printer paper says on the back of the back that is is okay for laser printers and that is what I use.
Your videos have helped me so much since I started a month ago with my Cricut Maker. I think I am ready to give the Infusible Ink a try. My only question is can you use other blanks besides the Cricut ones.
This was the best review that I have seen about using the infusible ink transfers and based on other crafter comments, (face book and a tee-shirt designer that was in my local Michaels) as long as you purchase shirts/children's items that are at least 50% polyester, you can buy tee-shirts elsewhere. Cotton tee shirts will not work at all. You can also purchase the heat resistant tape from Amazon at a lower price. The Cricut shirts are very nice, but way too expensive for me. I may try one out if they go on sale.
I wonder if this is just the pre-base (Usually White) that is put down on the tee prior to the direct garment printing process .......There are lots of tutorials on that process right here on TH-cam....I may just try it out! ;) I have found a ton of great hacks with this process and regular laser printing on regular laser copy paper (which makes me think this is their process but I could also be completely wrong! Trail by error is my specialty! Lol)
Hello thank you very clear video , I’m new at this I’d like to make a label for my granddaughters uniforms I do not have a printer can I still make them with infusible ink

thanks for sharing! soon as she said it was only cricut shirts my excitement went down!
Raquel Orr where can you find the t-shirts that we’re 92%?
Sandy Christman I got them from Wal mart. It’s the no boundaries brand.
This is not what i’m expecting. I thought it’s good on any shirts until you mentioned it. Thanks!
Thank you for the opportunity! I would like to raise money for my community that was hit by a tornado a couple months ago, and I feel that the heat press would make the process flow better in the different items we make and sell to give back to the community.
I got a Cricut Maker for Christmas and I just purchased a Easypress 2 so I’m binging all your videos. Thanks for making things so clear. ☺️

Yes it does work on store bought shirts they just have to have a high % of polyester... there are tips on Jennifer maker

Thank you I was wondering what it was.
I saw a demo where she did the easy press half and half, for each side.
Yep. This video is old but I did end up pressing twice and it worked!

Correct. That is what I am using. It just needs to say it is okay for laser printers or copiers on the package.
Did you make the video of the shirt after being washed several times? If so what is the title? I can't find it.
I never did it as the shirt material looked horrible before any of the products did!
@@AngieHolden that's such a bummer! do you have a recommendation for a shirt that would do well with the infusible ink product but hold up better?
It's still kinda like sublimation. I use sublimation and it requires a high percentage of polyester to transfer. I guess the Cricut process is a little less expensive because you don't have to purchase the Sawgrass printer and the very expensive inks that go along with the printer, and the special items that you have to use.

I want to put a design on a 4x4 canvas bag. I was going to use a mini press but what should I do to prevent the ink from going to the back. Will putting butcher paper on the inside resolve that?
I would put a piece of white cardstock on the inside.
I really enjoyed your great instructional video especially for me that's totally new to this. I have a question on the difference between using butcher paper and parchment paper. I bake and use parchment paper a lot
I will be following your other videos too. Thank you, Patti
ok got the answer. should have watched your video longer..lol.ty
Great class
Thanks!
Would this infusible ink work on album covers like Creative memories covers?
Gosh I am not sure. Would you know what material they are made from?
Thank you for answering a question that I had about butcher paper. I wasn’t sure if it was the same as parchment paper or freezer paper and now I know thank you. Also you said that you used laser copy paper for the infusible ink pen. Can you use plain printer paper?
The copy paper just needs to be able to withstand heat. My regular printer paper says on the back of the back that is is okay for laser printers and that is what I use.

I have a Cricut air. Is it possible to cut the infusible ink sheet with this machine. Mainly letters that need the middles kept in.
Yes.
Thank you so much Angie! I look forward in making my things as well!!!!
Your videos have helped me so much since I started a month ago with my Cricut Maker. I think I am ready to give the Infusible Ink a try. My only question is can you use other blanks besides the Cricut ones.
You can use sublimation blanks or fabrics that are at least 65% polyester.

Fabulous ❣️
I love the Infusible Ink
She said it have to have a coating on the product. In all words get sublimation products and polyester shirts. I already tried it
You can also buy a Polycrylic spray to coat your textile, that works miracles!
Cindy
Very informative
What can you use besides card stock if you use a heat press.
I like Artesprix protective paper.
Can I use a regular household iron to transfer so I don't have to purchase the easy press?
I am not sure it will work. I am planning on doing some experiments and posting a video soon on that.
I hate that they make you buy the shirts and everything to use with the ink, that’s is so disappointing, the price is absolutely horrible.
This was the best review that I have seen about using the infusible ink transfers and based on other crafter comments, (face book and a tee-shirt designer that was in my local Michaels) as long as you purchase shirts/children's items that are at least 50% polyester, you can buy tee-shirts elsewhere.
