@@SLOGOAT219 It recirculates air blown from the HVAC system. You can turn the fans on and barely feel anything. Turn the AC on and focus the air in the footwell area and you will feel cold air come from the seat.

Absolutely no problems with my 2018 ZL1 and I have over 20,000 miles on it.
Riley, my Zl1 vented seats suck. They will be cool for a minute, then they will feel warm after that. Don't know why, but that has been that way since new. Have fun and enjoy your Zl1
Check your owner's manual and you will see the seats are called " Heated and Ventilated Seats". It's the same as in C7. They are not cooled and there's no electrical device to cause air to be cooled. Actual cooled seats use a ceramic plate that gets warm when electricity is applied, and when the polarity of the current is reversed, the plate cools. A fan blows warm or cool air through pores in the seats and that is the heating and cooling effect. Both Camaro and Corvette use a heating element for the heated seats cycle, and just a stream of air that passes over the non-energizes heating element for the ventilated (not AC) seat cycle.
levelcruiser for someone who sells these things, he needs to up his knowledge game on his own car. Of course he won’t keep the car long enough to make that worthwhile.

My '17 was also an early production and had the wrong springs. I had them replaced as soon as the TSB came out. Mine has still not hit 4k yet and unlike you, it hibernates for winter. These cars are still amazing and the best performance value around. Regarding the "cooled" seats, it is my understanding that they only blow recirc air from the cabin - not directly from the A/C ducts - which means you need to let the cabin get cool before turning it on - or you will indeed feel warm air.
The absolute only thing I would change/modify on this car as it is sitting now would be to black out the side mirrors. Other than that, it's a perfect ZL1.

Hey man just a heads up on your brakes, they will be warped again. It is more of a manufacturer defect as well, I’m not sure how chevy’s warranty system works but our BMW’s manufacturer warranty covers it. Cooled seats kinda suck they don’t blow much air which sucks as you said because living in Houston it’s too hot for them not to be working as good as they should

Everybody is entitled to their opinion. But , you criticized that car more than you praised it. Also, those Chevy engineers concluded that those wonderful Goodyear tires would extract the most performance from that car. They sure did'nt pick those crappy Continentals, or Michelin Pilot Sport 4s either. But, people always get it in their heads that anything other than Original Equipment has got to be "better". Your switching out tires, air filter, maybe exhaust in the future will gain you a whopping one second on the track. Big deal. Surely you don't make your living on the racetrack, do you? You criticized the small trunk, lack of sunroof, hot seats that roast your behind, the color of the rear spoiler. I suggest you trade that ZL1 in for another type vehicle, immediately! P.S. I know how to fix that annoying squeaking noise coming from the clutch pedal, but since you'll be getting rid of that Camaro full of defects very soon, I won't bother telling you how to fix it.
Felt compelled to share with you that when I had my 2014 Charger RT it came with some really crappy Firestone tires that lasted 12,000 miles... Also the warranty on the tires are the best I could find, 70,000 miles!!
J Turner what most people don’t know is that Tire Manufacturers actually make a certain line of tires exclusively for new car sales that are cheaper and have short life on them compared to tires that are sold by themselves. They do it to keep new car costs down mostly. That’s why new cars don’t get 50k miles out of tires. Of course some special cars that come with sport cup 2s etc are a different story.
The seats arnt cooled seats they are ventilated you have to turn the cold air on and have it on for a minute with circulation button active theres fans under your seat that blow whatever air is there so if it's a hot day and you turn them on itll blow hot air

I have an 18 SS 1LE and I also love the factory tires. I track mine and they are do very well. Terrible in heavry rain/standing water but good in light rain.
I sure they’re great for the SS power level, but not for the ZL1
i love that the blazer has that exact same style of a/c vents as the camaro
Did you fix the clutch..if so was it greased up.mine doing the same thing.
Joey Bichay did you fix it?
I’m going to be honest..... I’m going back to your old Camaro content... and even tho I gave a base model... I’m using your content as a building block to mod my Camaro 1LT to perfection.
Clutch pedal creek is just the plastic bushings on the arm, more than likely caused by that Texas heat. A dab of lithium grease should fix that.
Suede-ish seats ALWAYS have poor seat ventilation,.
I have the Hotwheels 2SS and I never feel the cooled seats
I have the same problem with my “17 SS, seats cooling doesn’t work at all.
*vented not cooling seats احمد صالح
Do they sell a "plug" for the tow hook hole?
cooled seats in general motors products have always been horrible, my 13 lacrosse has them and when i press the button it seems like im pressing it for no reason because it dont work
Did you get it in garnet red? Because that’s what I’m going to get once I save up enough for the 2ss I’m pretty close to getting that beauty
I fully expected this to finally be that Nitrous Express install. A crushing blow this was. Clearly had the kit for a few years now with that LP frame and all.
Real question should i buy a 2011 2ss for 15 k with 114k miles or buy one with like 65k miles at 22 k?
Try vacuuming the seats to get the vented seats to feel like they work better. I did that on my car and it was a night and day difference. Go figure.
I just bought this '21 ZL1 and my ac Recaro seats work great 👍🏼 maybe down the road I'll have issues with it just like this guy 😅
My dad bought a 19 camero zl1 1le and the cooled seats never seemed to work or not that strong and like you said they even feel Hot especially in the mid back
hey Riley I have a 2018 zl1 and the seats get cold really fast so maybe there is something wrong with yours make sure to check it out
Definitely in favor of seeing the ZL1 on the track
2ss here. Yeah cooled seats suck. Asked the dealer if they malfunctioned, no they just don't work well.
Wouldn'tU LiketoKnow they aren’t actually cooled seats, they’re ventilated
@@PeRRXX regardless they don't work that well
Good tires
mean, badass car. But as someone who has owned 650hp+ supercharged car ('15 GT whipple), it's pretty much overkill and not worth the extra cost. Traction suffers and when the supercharger kicks in, you're going 40+ over the speed limit in no time. Great if you don't kill anyone or go to jail. My regular SS was low $30s and still crazy fast. Better bang for the buck imo.
Big difference between a factory supercharged car and one with an aftermarket whipple.
the ac seats run great in my 2ss
my wife's ZL1 seats work great
she thinks there to cold
Rich people problems can't even appreciate what they have can't even afford this car in my dreams
Yes the cooling seat sucks i agree, i
Mines don't feel nothing at all
Aye i was at the chevy dealership he works at and he’s actually a cool guy. Even though we couldnt get the price we wanted on the truck but thats not his fault.
Incorrect springs?? They probably just forgot to remove the spacers..
The seats are hit cause your cars interior is hot .. they are ventilated now air conditioned. Meaning your car has to be cold inside then the seats will blow cold air
What are the tires for the zl1?
Gm could of done that suv so much better should of made it rear wheel drive and put the 6.2
vmac805 Zero wouldn’t sell well
I test drove a ZL1 (was gonna buy one) (Pretty sure it was a 2017) And the cooled seats felt great to me... Sounds like yours is having an issue
They are not cooled seats. They are ventilated seats. The trick to them is to put the AC full blast on the feet setting. The seat fans pull the cool air from the floor area, and blows it up your ass. They are not cooled seats. The mustang is the only car that has real cooled seats. The challenger is the same as the camaro with ventilated seats, not cooled.
Have you tuned it since the Rotofab install? I've been told that it requires a solid tune so the car doesn't misbehave.
Unless you get the "Big Gulp" CAI, a tune is not required.
I have zl1 2017 and the seats cooling working very good maybe the problem in the cooling System of your car
If thats a 6 speed manual why is there paddle shifters???
To turn on/off auto rev match on down shifts
After looking at a Bullitt Mustang video which highlighted its myriad problems and good points, I'd rather this ZL-1 super Camaro. ZL-1 Camaro is a superior machine, it aint perfect but sure comes close.
why do people call SUV's "trucks"?
Tell me about it i bought my z06 with 2 miles on it and have gone through a torque converter a new transmission recently went to drag strip and had a misfire now i need new spark plus and wire and my new transmission is also not working so well
What transmission did you have that sucks ..my ss has the shudder in the converter
MARTPERE I have 8L90 that’s how it started on mine before it all went to shit basically my torque converter melted and contaminated my whole trans 3 month wait for replacement and even my new transmission is shit worse than the last one I’m surprised it hasn’t gone out yet
@@hazleroj sorry to hear that you gonna do the lemon law buy back?
Planning on getting a 2015 camaro early jan next year. Just turned 21, been saving for it since i was 18, it will however be my first car, think its a good idea to get the camaro? Everyone has been telling me to just get a beater for a first car just incase and etc.
I would call multiple insurance companies to see what the range would be ps if you are in a more popular location with more accidents your insurance will be higher also if you need a loan I would make sure you have good credit score because if you don't you will be paying an arm and a leg. The Camaro would not make a good decision if you live in a place with and type of bad weather as you only decision this is your decision run the numbers to se what makes sense have a great day. I think you should consider the 2.0l t or the v8.
@@matttheman4331 Ive been preparing for the payment for a few years now so im not too concern with that and i experience all 4 seasons where i live, my only concern is that i know the camaro has pretty bad visibility and its a bigger car than most others on the road, my friends has suggest that i get a beater to start of with and then just trade in for the camaro in half a year or a year but idk if its a good idea to put money into a car i know im getting rid of in a few months and everytime i drive it i will just be thinking about that.
@@Jeikune the decision is up to you but the bad visibility and tight parking. you could always get a simple beater for like $6000 that's desirable and you find a real good deal on it and sell it in like a year with not losing any money at all. best of luck
My 2SS cooled seat hardly do anything. One of the main reasons I wanted a 2SS Vegas heat! A little disappointed in that feature.
