I've cut one of my weed guard pins down so it ends the right at the head ,,, this way you wont get any flashing .. and maybe try using heat shrink tubing for the hook eye instead of the foil

Finally someone had the same idea as me been to cold to pour lead outside I had a feeling off the shelf simple S/8 lure part would work
cut down a brush guard pin to lay flush with the head
