Cam is a good dude. He could’ve beat the shit outta them. But held back. Props
Gave em a pass for sure
Cam lucky they didn't "swiss cheese" him
Cam knew if he took on those kids, he would become the aggressor and the bad guy. Lawsuits would have been incoming.
@@cliffbarr1993they weren’t kids. They were coaches. Cam also was running his mouth. He also grabbed that coach first which is what started it.
@Hopealliswell6054 I still ain't seen a video of him grabbing 1st.
Cam didnt fight anyone, he was holding them and stopping them from fighting him. This is a representation of him and how he is trying to build up kids and the community. The community is fighting him and he is just trying to stop the fighting and just have them focus on building. I love that Cam didnt swing, but just held them.
Facts
issue is cam is helping to create an environment that breeds the disrespect his way. happened multiple times.as a coach/qb LEADER why are you talking trash creating a culture of them to come at you in that manner. and the guys fighting him are street agents that host do these 7 on 7 camps trying to push up on the single moms and looking for clout moments.
HE GRABBED SOMEONE. THAT IS ASSAULT
@ibe310 he grabbed someone from attempting to assult someone else, that's not assault. I'm an actual lawyer.
He literally threw a guy thru the fence, did you not see the video???
Cam handled it well since he was attacked. It was horrible to see this and to see other videos where it appeared that this was planned. Unfortunately, men get just as jealous and resort to violence as an expression. I hope Cam continued to support local communities. Also, I hope parents who have sons who play see this as a negative and stay clear of those who celebrated the attack of a respected athlete.
Well said no doubt 👏🏾
But I hope you would not fault him if he decides it is not in his best interest to do so anymore.
You should see how Cam talks to these kids at these events. He’s disrespectful.
💯
@@clayhova absolutely not.
I'm black, and I say this from the bottom of my heart, these types of folks are not my people nor my brothers, all that nonsense about being the same race means we are together. No, thank you. I don't believe in my people, I believe in my kind. And my kind has morals, respect, trustworthiness, and functioning brain cells. In simple terms dignified.
Amen
I totally agree. I always say “black folk consist of many tribes.” So it makes sense that not all Black people are the same because we’re not all from the same tribe.
The time has come for us to break free from the mental restraints that have held us back as a community. The sooner we liberate ourselves from the shackles of outdated cultural norms, the brighter our future will be as black individuals. The notion of clinging to a so-called "culture" that no longer serves our growth is as lifeless as a door nail. Let us embrace change, innovation, and unity, for therein lies our true strength and progress.
This.
Thank you!
My level of respect for Cam has gone up.
He’s giving back and they gotta respect it , those ppl were wrong that jumped him
THE WORD RESPECT MEANS NOTHING IN THE BLACK COMMUNITY!! ALL WE RESPECT IS STREET ISH!!!! AND WHITE FOLKS!!! SMH!!!
Giving what exactly? His time or his money? Cam ain't doing sh#t that don't shine on Cam. I agree that shouldn't have went down, but Cam is reckless with thar mouth too
Him being there is enough u puke!!@@realflaman
@@realflamanwith that mindset
You’re a part of the problem
@@realflamanwhy does it matter if it's time or money?
I'm heartbroken that this happened to Cam. He is such a great man and one of very few that gives back in the huge way he does.
Cam had no choice but to defend himself!! If anyone ever watched Cam play ball I have seen him run the ball in the end zone carry a defender on each leg. They are simple for coming at someone trying to help the community. This is sad and Cam may not sponsor this anymore and I wouldn't blame him!!
Ur absolutely correct and I would've defended myself if that happened to me, they should've been greatful that Cam Newton showed up to those 7v7 stuff, but people always had to act stupid and disrespected him for wat??? I bet non of them had talent anyways
Cam was the aggressor like always
@@DarthBinky89 wrong no he wasnt, he was just telling them thr truth, and HATERS CANT TAKE THE TRUTH AS ALWAYS CUZ THEY'RE RETARDED
But look, you know that they say, “see I told you.” Black people do not know how to get themselves out of fights, altercations or even death. That is who we are as a people. Cannot give other black folks their due without pulling everyone else down and that will be our downfall.
@@DarthBinky89everyone has said the same thing that knows Cam that he is not an aggressive.
Ryan Clark wearing the heck out of that chair 😆 😅😂
dawg lol goat
They were not kids, them where 2 grown coaches. Cam just makes everyone look like children when you stand next to him💯
I've had the pleasure of attending one of Cam Newton's 7v7 camps. RC, Freddy T, And Channing are absolutely correct! Cam's passion for making those kids great is off of the charts!
Fred is finally asking the right questions. Why is it us?
I think he was on a good point and hopefully more celebrities would help out more. Cam is a great example for everyone about giving back
@@kwolfgramm1 I agree. Cam is one of the good ones and it's sad to see ignorance on that level!
Exactly. Always us. Tony Boselli has camps here in my home city. I even took my nephew when he was little. All those children were respectful with their words and actions. Parents were in a section watching (if they wanted to stay) everybody was respectful.
Exactly. That's the question. We always attack the folks that we should be celebrating.
It's Always Us!! The Caucasian Don't Act Like Our Race!! They Sick Together!! Some Of Us Hate And Envy Each Other!! Over Nothing!! It's The Parents Fault
And then my people get mad when we get profiled. Some or most of us don’t know to appreciate an opportunity and how to act in public. It’s sad and embarrassing smh
It’s not only us we just get put in the spotlight for negativity
@@jerelnorman2854You're either blind or in denial.
What does one thing have to do with the other? Why should all Black people be profiled based on one person's bad behavior?
@@jerelnorman2854I've never seen this happen at a Manning camp.
@@DJ-zi7oebecause life isn't fair and blacks are looked down upon. You want life to be fair, where each individual is judged on their behavior but what you want, is a fantasy and life isn't a fantasy, especially when you're black.
this is why i love watching the 3 of you on the PIVOT. this is the most respectful and insightful discussion on this incident i've seen. no clowning or silliness.
Totally agree why is it always us. It’s sad real sad. People please wake up and raise your children to be respectful to someone who is trying to help. Cam is no chump!
C J Stroud was on Cams podcast a week ago b4 this popped off. Said he used to participate back in the days. CJ said Cam would stay after and throw the ball with players no matter what team they came with. Jealously and hate are definitely a disease. Also brought back memories of when them defenders were trying to tackle him...nah he's still shaking them off
Cam's so big, everyone thought he was fighting kids. They were grown ass men. 😂😂
I really did think it was children on him! The man is huge!!
Gentlemen thank you for speaking on this topic, I had the pleasure of officiating a recent 7on7 tournament, that Cam and his father ran at Largo HS, they are first class people who give back to a lot of communities, this is sad what happened as an official over 20yrs I'm not surprised, you would be shocked if I shared some of the experiences I've had with inner city youth football, my family urged me to quit 5yrs ago I keep coming back, because they have a hard time getting officials.
The travel youth league is terrible 😞. Had plenty of games cancelled last year due to the craziness
It's sad I've recommended changes, to the league I officiate in, every year we have more and more officials quitting especially the white ones and I can't blame them.
Cam was tossing they asses like he work in sanitation!🤣🤣
😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂
I am a black man raised by two parents in the 70’s and out the gate we were taught discipline, respect and humility. I played sports my entire childhood and was taught by my older brothers and others in the neighborhood that trash talk is a part of the game but don’t talk it if you can’t take. I say all that to say that - today’s youth are not raised with those values and the “OG’s” are not schooling the youth as they did back in my childhood. Parents don’t correct their kids (they make excuses) and don’t want anyone else to discipline them. They are taught to fight and/or kill rather than conflict resolution. Their social skills are depleted bc they spend too much time communicating through technology rather than face to face. What happened to Cam would have never happened in my youth bc we respected those who helped and/or gave back. Today parents and kids feel entitled and think it’s the JOB of people of Cam’s status to help and “give back” bc he’s made it and ironically if and when they do - this is the respect they get. 🤦🏽♂️SMDH - We, those of us in the black culture - We Have to get better and Be better! We are our own worst enemy and we are killing ourselves from the inside out!!!!!
You’re speaking the absolute truth 💪🏿🙏; “AJ”
You're absolutely spot on I to grew up with both parents and taught, the same values, as a football official over 20yrs I work a lot of inner city, youth football games and it hurts my heart to see our people behave, like they have know since but I keep going back when other officials won't, even my family has urged me to stop . I'm at the field from 9am till after 5 pm I'm wore out🙏🏾🙂
Thanking for dropping these gems, it isnt just the black community but whites, Hispanics, Asians, etc. It's a multicultural social problem that needs to be resolved by various ethnicities coming together as such. Pride x arrogance not to do so will not get the same solved but cont to worsen.
TRUTH!!!!!!!
Nailed it. Any player who disrespected another coach or ref, my coach made the team do 100yd sprints until the offender(s) threw up or couldn't move, even if the offender(s) didn't throw up or pass out, the team had no choice but to keep going until. And please say you not doing it, you handing in your jersey THE NEXT DAY. New spot open.
“Pack a lunch!” 💪🏾
Ryan really elevated this show he delivers his thoughts like no other
Agreed
Yep ESPN better not had let that talent walk
Cam a solid dude his self awareness is admirable frfr that comes from him having father in his life too
Fred hit it dead on the head when he said "Why is it always US?"
It's not always us. Stop it😂
@@michaelmcdougall7367shidddd more times than not it is!😂😂😂
@@squireboi318not true
@@squireboi318Where is the selective outrage when white people commit mass shootings daily?? White athletes fight and brawl in sports. People don't say nothing about white people disagreeing and don't label the entire race and community. It's to the point that everybody gives white people privilege. White kids are killing each other but we never say white on white crime. Let's save some outrage and condemnation for little Billy and Becky.
@@ShaneThomas-yv5gd bro I go to so many different functions, different people of all races. It’s us more times than not with some bullshit! Not saying it doesn’t happen with others but if we gone be real, let’s be real. Hell my own family get together too long some shit may pop off!😂😂😂
I hate when ppl say it won’t happen at other camps. Duh!! They don’t operate like Cam. Fred even said it himself, Cam brings a different level of passion to the game til this day. Peyton and Eli don’t operate like Cam so ofc their camp is going to be mellow. Cam is very active with his players and the kids on the circuit. He invites all the trash talk bc he’s a competitor! This is the only bad accident to happen over his 10 years of doing this, but somehow we just can’t help ourselves. Cam has been doing a great job and this one incident won’t stop him from doing work with our young black boys. Stop trying to group a whole race of people for something a few did. The irony, they had a full day of football, but ppl act like this fight was the only thing that happened. Clearly we know how to come together and make things happen for the better. But like every race and situation, there will be a few problems. It’s not a black ppl thing, it’s reality. Stop painting this picture off of one incident. It’s disingenuous to everything Cam has built with his 7v7 circuit. Fred was spot on tho. Parents be more involved and educate your children on respect and the opportunities presented to them. It takes a village and we can’t be deterred bc of fixable challenges.. and stop comparing to white people. RC comparing us to white culture just sounds like appeasement. Especially when we don’t operate the same
Good you are talking about this. A conversation that need to be had .
I commend him he handled that the best he could. It's really sad when in this day and age we still can't get it together. The brain washing is so deeply immbedded we can't seem to rise above it. Such a shame. I don't know Cam but I'm proud of him
Big W for Cam! Really appreciate him showing our community. How a king is supposed to behave in such a situation. Understanding the responsibility you have to our youth and what you mean to them as a leader and role model. This is high-level discernment on his part, and we love to see it.
Great point Ryan!!! We have to do better as a people for those that pour into our kids! Cam is a good dude for pouring into our children!!
This might be the best sport talk shows, please keep up the great information 🙏🏾👍🏿
This is why I love watching these brothers….they think and give you ways to go about things instead of a lot these other podcasts that feed on the drama and bullshit that keep us in that mindset!…RESPECT!
All 3 of you make good points, personally I think they're jealous of Cam Newton because he is doing more for his community than anybody and he talks more crap than anybody but they disrespect him they talk s*** to him so hey but when you come talking about putting your hands on him that's a No-No that's something that you didn't even think through because you were so jealous jealous.
Can’t put words on how much I love these guys and what they stand for. Always good perspective from guys who know what hard work is and what it can get you! Keep it up men!
I hear Fred but I’m not doing any meeting. Our ppl know what needs to be done to change the perception and behavior and they choose not to. Period.
I'm so proud of these men!!! Very intelligent, articulate & successful.. Bravo classy men.. Alllll u men are stellar!!
Respect goes a long way
The pristine condition his hat was in afterwards! Gaaaaadamn that a commercial for his hat wear lmao
Great show!! You three Nailed it 1000%
Great conversation 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Aye 🙏🏾 may god continue to bless yall. The world needs THE PIVOT 💪🏾
Thank You Guys once Again. Cam Continuous Blessings❤
I have coached both boys and girls, have refereed boys and girls sports, and have attended many games of boys and girls sports. The one thing that disappoints me the most is the behavior of some of the coaches. I respect the fact that the coaches take time out of their busy lives to guide and teach these you people with little or no reward. To that I say thank you. Sometimes, the coaches lose perspective on the purpose of the kids participation. If I were the parent of a child in this organization, I would remove the child and demand a refund of my money. This is not what we want guiding and teaching our children.
Bro camouflaged in that chair 😂
😂😂😂
😂😂😂
Maaaan, I asked the same question to myself that Fred asked. "WHY US". Those same people would've been on their best behavior at a 7 on 7 Manning camp....GUARANTEED!
You guys are so right man proud of you all how you are positively projecting this is awfully sad that you guys make it and be successful and try to give back to the community the way you should and you got individual our community is failing to recognize and make the correction keep the positive energy but let's continue to try to work as men and do something about it
Thank God nobody had a weapon🙏🏾
Right!!!
Im glad ESPN came to their senses. Mr. Ryan Clark deserves that contract
Hope this leads to teams giving a focused Cam a spot on a team the dude deserves a shot
Cam Newton is literally A Role Model for the Culture for sure, Controlled Emotions and Self Respect.
Cam didn’t fight anybody that could of went really bad mad respect to cam for not losing his cool
My prayers of faith to cam and all athletes who are not allowing this to go down
He said what he said about Purdy but I never wish this type of behavior on him may god help out everyone that stopped it and made peace 🙏🏼
I have so much respect for Cam Newton. He's doing great work out there a lot of people don't talk about 👏🏿
Thats nuts people will act like that at a football camp. Shout out to Cam Newton for hosting such an event for young individuals and I'm not even a Cam fan.
Cam handled this 100 percent perfectly
" You can Dress Em Up but
Can't Take Em Nowhere " 😢
Cam showed great restraint, and I have a lot of respect for that brother!
Cam is a really good and nice dude foreal. When he played for the panthers we use to see him all of the time just hanging out downtown. Everyone knew where his condo was downtown and there were no issues at all. He never had security and would literally ride his hover board down town just kicking. He is a good dude in real life.
Been loving Cam since Auburn !!! Wouldn't miss a televised game !!
Thank U for this!
We need more to tell the truth on this.
Why is the Media only showing his face in all these articles? Why about the two coaches who attacked him?
I got your back Cam Newton, some of the problems in life come from my own skin color, jealousy betrayal, we have to open our eyes before it’s too late
I promise it is refreshing AND empowering to hear Black MEN speak with foresight & intelligence all while in support of another brother ! Listen Up CULTURE.
As a white fella I unfortunately have to agree. There are white folks who sit back and say “look at em”. It makes me so damn mad!!! 😡 Cam is trying to help his community and this happens. Where on earth are these kid’s parents? And why are they not making public apologies regarding this matter. Freddie T is right, only in the black community. Ugh, this is a loose loose. Love you guys!!!! Y’all are doing great work. Much respect from NC ❤
You know Cam is solid because he didn't strike anyone. He restrained them dudes all while getting jumped. He's a better man than me.
I really enjoy this show. I love how they all listen to each others take and allow one another to have their word
This is not church but PREACH MY BROTHA'S 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 We need good people in our communities 🖤✌🏾✊🏾💪🏾
This whole conversation ❤️
What need to be said is that the cats that attack Cam are 9 times out ten were raised by a single mother and that’s where they picked up that disrespectful behavior from catty, melodramatic, disrespectful, augmentative, all of these are female traits. If men had raised these cats they wouldn’t have did that to Cam if even they didn’t like him as a football player or person. Strong BM raises our sons to behave/carry yourself in a respectful manner at all times and if there’s trouble then you deal with it but this disrespectful cowardly shit that them cats pulled is wrong and shows what kind of males we have in a lot of our communities.
Ryan, keep doing your thing brother! You don’t need ESPN for shit!! I know your worth brother and respect you even more for standing your ground!
Y’all did a great job explaining the importance of having a Cam around! Lawyer and judges have this saying “No good deed goes unpunished “ going forward I would be very selective in what families I help.
Why they still saying kids they was grown coaches
Cam is awesome much love to him as for those young men who was out there trying to fight Cam shame on you we have to do better as a people 😢
Newton handled that with class. And grant it that this man that talked shit about cam lost in the 7v7 tourney, he wrong in throwing jabs on him. I hope he gets charged with assault and I hope Cam press charges on this man. If it was me, not only I would start swinging since I got jumped and security (yall need to do a better job in stopping fights) would be breaking up fights, I would start pressing charges on the man that jumped me immediately
I hate this happened to cam because he seems to be a solid human being
I believe that the issue is in the U.S. CULTURE ITSELF. NOT JUST ONE PARTICULAR GROUP OF PEOPLE. Since around the late 1990's through today, you have an increase in BOTH PARENTS AND YOUNG PLAYERS of ALL ethnic backgrounds either fighting on field or on court, fighting in the stands, attacking referees and coaches, etc. I blame this on the current mindset of the parents themselves AND their parenting styles, the mindset of the athletes and the highly increased emphasis placed on sports and sports achievements. I'm know that there are more issues, but these are just a few.
Great discussion fellows
Pivot. Still great content. Keep doing y’all thing.
Never happens at a Manning or Breese Camp... No matter what...
It's about respect. That's simple...Those are Coaches, not children. Anyone can do an interview and point a finger, but Grown Men have to be that... sometimes you have to put your pride aside for the bigger picture.
He also ain’t helping inner city kids. Those are privileged white ppl with money. It’s not the same.
Great commentary and analysis...particularly by RC. While it is and was embarrassing for our community...it really speaks to the necessity to dead center a discussion on how Black men 1. treat each other (and the historical moorings of self hatred) and 2. How as Black men, we engage our young men...and how they engage us. There are many factors beyond what transpired to this event...that plague our community everyday...which can also be a catalyst as why so many of us, including the podcast crew, began playing the sport of football. It does what American society has rarely ever done....it validates our existence. 😢 Like Brother Dap ringing the bell on the yard at Mission College, shouting, "WAKE UP!!!!!"
Y'all hit the nail on the head with this analysis. Cam conducted himself in the best manner he possibly could. However, the optics won't properly illustrate his love and desire to grow the game.
Thanks guys for having this conversation. I'm so tired of seeing us feeding into the stereotypes of bringing hoodish behavior everywhere we go. Yes there are bad apples in the mix, yes haters will come for you, yes we gotta do better, and yes we got to for the sake of our communities stop being crabs in a barrel carrying switch blades not only putting one another down but cutting you in the process. In the moment take a moment and ask yourself what message am I trying to send? Do I want to look like I'm in charge of my emotions or will I allow ignorance to fuel a situation that could lead to creating a narrative that some folk already THINK I'm a part of? In the end, a memory will be created along with a teachable moment. We are the solution, own your role in the situation, and hold yourself accountable. Seems to me the person looking back at you in the memory has some transparency to address. 😢😢Sad situation. Peeps get it together ❤️
love it...watch the clip of Christopher Walken "the lion speech" little over one minute but explains Cam's situation perfectly.
You guys true and that's good to see now days.
I’m a 72 year old Mother of 3 Fully Grown Men and 5 Grown Grandchildren My Husband and I raised them to have Respect for all Adults!!.. it Starts at Home !!!!!! Point Blank Period!! A tree grows from a seed.❤
That pissed me all the way off! Cam is one of the greats to play the game. I love him and who he is how dare they do that ! You tried Cam now shake the dust please leave people who have no value in themselves alone. If they don’t respect themselves they will not respect you. Praying your safety

Why dont you see this at a eli or peyton manning camp🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
I am not a Cam Newton fan. Never knew he was using his platform ten toes down for the community. Much respect for Cam, but I want to who going down to show support for Cam on the ground. Yall get together and support that man.
Great restraint on Cam’ s part!!!! 👍🏾🙏🏾
That's another issue we are experiencing a generation of our children that have very lil or no respect to others ! I always compliment youngster when they say yes sir no sir thank you it's good to see that still exist !
I was really heartbroken over that how they disrespect him that is really embarrassing to our culture their parents need to check them and really put them in place ❤🙌🏾
Cam Newton is the protagonist who understands he can annihilate fodder but would give them an opportunity to not get fodderized.
Very good take gentlemen 💯

The culture is the reason of the fight in the first place.
Cam has an Eagle arm span, he corralled them in without one hit involved. Cam is a Giant, NFL-strong.
It’s sad it happened but also good that it happened….Cam get your security team together stronger and get contracts for all participants…holding them accountable…and go on to the next community ….you’re aiming for that one child that’s ready to take all your wisdom knowledge and understanding to the next level
