Opening up in a honest and humble conversation, Cam Newton sits down with Fred, Ryan and Channing to discuss everything that has been going on from football, to his personal life to recent issues with some of the statements he has made.
A deep and impactful discussion between men on growth, learning from mistakes and how to keep moving forward when the cards are stacked against you. And Cam shared a powerful burst of what the fire he still has to play football every Sunday.
Allowing the vulnerability to come through, Cam opens up about some mistakes he made with relationships and owning up to the responsibilities his choices have caused and accepting the fall out and positives that have come with it.
Back to football- Cam challenges Channing on his statement of him not being one of the best 32 quarterbacks and asks him if the bottom of the pack is better than him. The two debate why he is or isn’t in that group and Channing says the league has deemed he is no longer going to be a starter a team.
Fred believes Cam still can land on a team this season before they go back to talking about his college days and time at Florida, asking if the off the field incident that Cam got into during his early college which led him to leaving for Auburn.
Ryan gets into Cam’s recent situation and the comments he made about women and he explains how they were taken out of context and how his remarks were intended. Understanding that his words will never be louder than the media’s, Cam shares his thoughts and the message behind his words.
Understanding the role of being a black man and leader for youth, Cam talks about how his impact in the NFL should have been greater than Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers and the Peyton Manning’s of the world because of his influence on all communities and not just his play on the field.

I attended cam Newton 7on7 2 years in a row 2013-2015 and that’s one experience I will never forget. He was the coolest most humble solid dude you will ever meet . It was basically like he was one of us and when you meet his dad and family you will understand why . Me and his little brother played on the same usa football team when we was in 10th grade . But cam literally made you bring the best out of you so organically he would put so much confidence in everybody at these camps just by his presence . He signed my cam1s and I still got them to this day and all the gear he signed and gave us , he was giving away free things and he hosted the whole event his self

@@jacbro33 Rodgers and Brady come from different communities and care little of the people that come from Cam's community. Therefore, no they can't go to that community and nor do they want to.
However, when they go to their communities, they'll be propped up so high that they may even be able to obtain high political office for the purpose of protecting and legitimizing that community's interests (which generally does not concern the well-being of non-white people).
Cam would never be able to ascend to high political office in dealing with his community...however, he can (especially where he is now) spark the mind and imagination of kids from there to discard dysfunctional narratives and build their people up. That is more valuable, legit and powerful.

The Pivot made one mistake with the Cam Newton interview...it wasn't long enough.
Wow! This was another outstanding interview. I believe that younger (culturally conscious) black professional athletes are doing some really good work in the community. And now they are also making some excellent business moves. I believe that one of the next logical business moves among high profile black athletes could be to conduct "major" collaborations among themselves, but do so "wisely." We must remember that there will always be negative
elements within American society that want to see us fail. So when making any business moves, this
should be considered, compartmentalized and placed at the forefront of our thought process.
Also, perhaps it is time for African American athletes to take the business collaboration show on the road. We should consider developing relationships with high profile black athletes in Europe and on the continent of Africa as well as other international locations. There are a number of wealthy international black athletes who can
help bolster your (leverage) by providing Money, Power, Knowledge and Influence. The thing that high profile black athletes have going for them (in terms of business) is instant access to a stellar workforce...their own people! But upon hiring your people, how do you maintain long-term allegiance?
In the Old Testament, Proverbs 31:8&9 says,
"Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy."
    Go with God!

The issue is the NFL historically has supported terrible QB play from white QB's: Jay Cutler, Ryan Fitz, Ryan Tannehil, Ryan Leaf, Colt McCoy, Case Keenum, Kellen Moore, Matt Barkley...the list goes on. When black QB's fail, they aren't given the same time frame to get it right. This one is difficult because Cam Newton actually started out phenomenal and then hit a rough patch. But is he still better than the bottom 32? Sam Darnold, David Mills, Zach Wilson, Mitch Trubisky, Daniel Jones, Jameis Winston? I think the real question is can he outdo what these guys have done on a regular basis? He stunk up the place a few times and black qb's are on a short leash so he has to be at the top of his game in order for teams to keep him on their roster.

I had the opportunity to see this dude (Cam) warm up right next to the chosen one (Tebow) during a practice, and anyone who knows anything about football let alone the position of quarterback, could see right then that this brother was head and shoulders above Tebow. Sometimes we get so caught in the media hype that we look past reality. Mr. Newton it is such a pleasure to see a young brother be unapologetically BLACK!!! keep on keeping on, maybe twenty or thirty years from now they'll give you and Kap your real flowers like they do all OUR other real ones!!!! This message is for J. The Goat and Michael J. Let’s start here, 5 QB’s he’s definitely better than hands down! #1 He’s better than anyone on the Steelers roster. Trubisky is listed as starter#2 He’s better than Sam Darnold Carolina Panthers. #3, He’s better than Marcus Mariota Atlanta Falcons #4 , He’s better than Davis Mills Houston Texans #5, He’s better than anyone on the Seattle Roster. Currently Geno Smith is the probable starter. Now, here’s a few that he’s arguably better than. #1 Trevor Lawrence Jacksonville Jaguars. In his first season he looked a mess. Let’s see if he’s better this year. #2 Tua Tagovailola hasn’t proven he can play at the elite NFL level. Now his offense is loaded let’s see what he does. # 3 Kirk Cousins, fills up the stat sheet but NEVER wins any big games and barely makes the playoffs makes. # 4 Jared Goff. Since being the number #1 pick and going to the Super Bowl, he has been a bust. Last but not least, Carson Wentz. You talking BUST! Dude can’t keep a job. He got benched for Jaylon Hurts and is a head case with no leadership according to his own teammates and he’s on his 3rd team. He failed in Philly and Indy, now he’s on the Washington Commanders.
There you have it. 10 QB’s that all are suspect and some just plane old garbage and I’d take Can Newton over them all because of his intangibles and what he brings to the table. I rest my case! What you’ll got????

Ive been backing cam for last couple years as far as new england. They had no training camp cuz of covid and he had absolutley no experienced(especially experienced in the system), pass catchers. Especially once edelman went down. Look at the experience and quality they had at tight end, which is huge in the pats system. There is a reason the next year the pats went out and signed two tight ends, two wrs and drafred a rb. They had nothing on offense. And again, cam and most of the position pkayers on offense were trying to learn the system and get chemistry with each other on the fly. It is a testament to cams greatness, that they were as competitive as they were.

Agreed Cam won us some games that year. I remember he got tackled by the Seahawks on the goal line but no one thought that game would’ve came down to the last play. And they beat the cards. Pats receivers were trash because Edelman went down and covid bs. Cam should’ve been resigned to the pats in my honest opinion I get the offense would’ve been different with mac in but still.

However, where Channing is right with the NFL has said "no", it's the financial cost of 20 to 64. If Cam wants to he can be the same Cam that was the MVP and he knows it. He just needs the right system and to remember we want him to play football and his personal life is not our business. I can see Cam playing in Seattle, New York, or even Atlanta. If he can get into to someone's camp with enough time to learn the playbook and compete for a position he will earn a spot.
