I love the pimple patches with microdarts. It's like a night and day difference on my really painful deep hormonal cystic acne (thanks premenopause, ugh) between the microdarts and non-microdarts. I sometimes pick up the Peach Slices brand ones at Ulta for $8.99, but there's a brand called +1HeroLabs that makes a microdart patch that usually runs on sale just short of half that price per patch, and is nearly as good as the Peach Slices. I can often pick up 2 packs of those for around $10. Using microdart patches generally cuts the time in half needed for my cystic acne to resolve. They are very, very effective for me. That said, I think with whitehead acne, it makes much less of a difference, since surface level salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide products work more efficiently on them. In my experience, regular patches are more useful to supplement the use of those actives in that case.
I need to stock back up on the ordinarys peptide buffet and I also love their squaline oil. I just found out with the water based peptide buffet serum you can use before using your led light mask so I’m gonna do that because it’s drying to wash your face and then apply the mask.
I hadn't heard of some of these brands,so thank you for giving me more to check out next time I need to do a restock. The Inkey List formulations can be a bit hit and miss, but both the Omega Water Cream and the Vitamin B, C and E moisturizer are great. The succinic acid spot treatment is good, too - it's not overly drying, but it still feels like it's doing something. I also rate the Fulvic Acid Cleanser (a gentle, but effective foaming cleanser) and the Vitamin C and EGF serum. I've had not-so-great experiences with the Oat Cleansing balm (it separated in the tube, and it was really hard to remove completely) and the SPF30 mineral sunscreen (it left thick white patches of zinc oxide that were so hard to rub and blend in it was actually making my face sore!).
I really like this channel and will continue to visit. The problem is, a lot of the products are either not available in Canada or IF I find them, they're 2-3 X the $$$ price ☹(yes, after conversion from GBP to CAD)
Beauty Bay has an amazing exfoliating serum! It's an AHA/PHA serum just called "Correcting serum" and my skin LOVES IT! Even my dermatologist was like "wait a sec what's happened to your skin" bc my blackheads were gone after using that for about a month or so!
Uriage water sleeping pack is a lovely moisturiser (not just for night time!) kind of part gel moisturiser, leaves skin v bouncy. Simple hydrating micellar is amazing - the one with the blue lid. Lanolips lip balms are amazing and £9/7.
The Simple brand micellar waters are great. I never hear anyone talk about them. They are great for removing makeup but was pleasantly surprised how easily it removed eye makeup, especially waterproof eye makeup. I can afford to buy more expensive micellar waters when the Simple brand works so well and very readily available, Target, drugstores, etc. Nice size "bottles" and not very expensive, approx., maybe $8-10 for the large size. I really recommend you check it out. It works really well and ag a in works great removing eye makeup including waterproof. Thought I would share because I never see the Simple micellar water talked about.
may I ask how sensitive your skin is? I had a tester of their cleansing balm a while ago and my skin didn't really like it so now I'm hesitant to try other products from their skincare line.
I find the e.l.f. Pure Skin Moisturiser to be excellent, I know it's not a favourite of yours but for my dry skin it absorbs quickly and leaves a plump, matte finish.
i always rave about the Elf Superhydate gel moisturizer and I have oily, acne prone and sensitive skin. full price it's only $12 USD and it's often on sale at Ulta.
It's crazy. I bought some makeup from Beauty Bay totally thinking it would take forever to get to me, especially since I'm in the US, but I got my package in a week!
I like pimple patches , cos they stop you touching ,squeezing scabbing , and you dont realy notice them i have been known to wash my fsce add my serums and moisturiser and totaly forget ive got one on .they stop scab picking and leave no scar
If you combine marine hylauronics with the original German blue Nivea, it’s meant to be a dupe for crème de La Mer by La Mer . Been trying it a couple of months now and my skin is so much better and hydrated . Not sure I’ll be able to use the Nivea in summer tho as it’s very thick, and I feel it may cause my skin to break out combined with sun cream, foundation and heat . Has anyone else tried this supposed dupe? If so how did you get on?
An investigative journalist who normally tackles big topics, BJ investigates, just looked into this. I feel like she is bizarrely pro-Mer, but she is right about the ingredients not being the same. Algae extract as a #1 ingredient cannot be compared to water.
James has discussed that Nivea is a brand that because is homophobic he won't use it.When I watched the video where he talks about this and yup... I won't be using Nivea either James💜

Hi James, thank you for always providing us great suggestions for our skincare. I would like to ask if you can suggest me some affordable products (maybe around 20 euros) for dry skin, including Vitamin C, chemical exfoliator, ninaciamide and retinol please? Thank you so much!
I looooove the The Ordinary squalane retinol, the only thing the i dont like and because i don't buy it anymore it's because they only last 3 months and thats like a stupid amont of time to use the whole bottle and i keep wasting like half of it.
have you found an alternative for retinol starters with sensitive skin? I have been meaning to dabble into it but most of the products I see recommend for sensitive skin are crazy expensive
Superdrugs me+ range is great and revolution beauyy too... like ordinary dupes.. can you do best budgrt sunscreen. I battle wiyh melasma and found sun zapper xinc stic in light tone the perfect concealer aswell as spf 50
Wait I shouldn't cleanse twice a day? I feel like I do a morning cleanse and night cleanse, but I also sweat horrendously! I wonder if I should just do an evening cleanse and just wash with water in the am?
Oh I wish I could have liked the Carbon Theory cleanser for times when I can't get The Inkey List Salicylic Acid cleanser. I don't know what else is in it, but it stung my face soooo bad and made my face bright red when I got out the shower and took a good 30 mins to calm down when I put the rest of my skincare on. I agree with you that it didn't dry my skin out, I just don't get why it stung. But because I'm a cheap bitch I used the whole bottle 😅 took me a couple of months to use it up and the redness didn't improve but the stinging did. My skin loooves Salicylic acid so it must be another ingredient in there that just wasn't right for me!
Is the ordinary and Inkulus actually budget friendly?? All the products I’ve seen from them were $10 for tiny things but literally everyone’s recommendations are typically $20+. Though I do love these budget videos cuz I can’t spend too much money on these things tbh
I like the packaging of the Bubble mosturizer so much, I just held my breath when you went through the ingredients. Luckily there's nothing I hate and it even has evening primrose oil which my skin loves! Does anybody happen to know whether it has any smell?
I did like the elf toner at first, though I noticed it was making my skin near my eyes/cheek bones a little red/irritated by the second and third day, which perplexed me. Noticed after looking at the ingredients it has glycolic acid in also (concentration isn't listed though) I've since gone back to pyungkang yul toner, but It's a shame as I wish I could tolerate the elf one every day with it being so available and cheap!
I had the same experience with the toner irritating my skin. It always made my skin feel dried out and I had no clue why until now! Makes so much more sense knowing it has glycolic acid.
may I ask how sensitive your skin is? I had a tester of their cleansing balm a while ago and my skin didn't really like it so now I'm hesitant to try other products from their skincare line.
I had such a bad experience with the BeautyBay customer service some years ago, and I’ve not ordered from them since. I bought a lipstick that was clearly expired when I got it (I worked retail makeup for 5 years, the waxy smell is unmistakable, plus it was grainy and dry) and when I filed a complaint, they thought I had received a used lipstick and refunded me immediately. Fine, but I really just wanted a replacement! So I asked if they had some in stock that was not expired, and if they could send me one. I was told ‘that’s how matte lipsticks are’ (it’s not, and I have a friend who had that exact lipstick in the same shade - she said it has a different smell and is definitely not grainy and dry in that way) and that I should just order a replacement myself. When I asked for a code to get free shipping for the replacement lipstick, I was told no, I should include it ‘the next time you place a large order.’ Speechless!!! Needless to say, I never did place a large order.

Speaking to your zero waste video and how shit all the products are that you tried (I totally agree, I've tried some in the past but were hideous EO nightmares) I came across a Korean plastic free skincare range called Toun 28 which is available on k beauty, I haven't personally tried it but from reading the ingredients it actually seems like actual.. Skincare unlike 99.9% of other plastic free/zero waste stuff out there 😂 just thought I'd mention it! 😊
Hi James, loved this thanks, added the elf toner, lip balm and pig blackhead thing to my shopping cart for a future purchase. I currently use the omega water cream from the inkey list and am enjoying it. It's great for my oily skin. My favourite/best item for under £10 is currently the ordinary's 10% niacinamide + zinc serum. Take care and happy Friday 💗

Ive been using the Vit B,C,E moisturizer for over a year now and is perfect everyday moisturising for a combo/oily skin
Omg yesss lanolips!!! Ohhh I’ve not heard of that I’ll give it a go! Thanks 💜💜💜
Would love to see you try the new BYOMA launches! I've heard mixed reviews...
I love cleansers that just clock in, do their job and clock out. No fuss and no frills, I save that for my leave-on products hahahaha.
I use that hyaluronic acid. I switched to it since the other one foams and didn't go well with my other skincare
Where to find Bubble skincare?
In my country there is no Ulta
I’ve found the Bubble Slam Dunk Moisturizer at the Dollar Tree in the USA for $1.25 each full size!
Recently tried Byoma on your recommendation and love them ❤
The inkey list peptide moisturizer needs recognition
I love that Elf toner
I’ve never used a toner. Where do you put it your morning routine?
I use my toner right after cleansing. It’s not necessary, but I like it.
may I ask how sensitive your skin is? I had a tester of their cleansing balm a while ago and my skin didn't really like it so now I'm hesitant to try other products from their skincare line.
@@hernorthwind My skin has become more sensitive in the last year. I'm 53. My skin does not like that cleansing balm at all.
Those Cosrx patches cost 24 euro here in the Netherlands! I was really shocked.
This is a great video! Thank you!
The sound quality is just 🔥🤤
Saw the title and gasped
It's crazy. I bought some makeup from Beauty Bay totally thinking it would take forever to get to me, especially since I'm in the US, but I got my package in a week!
I am definitely on a budget right now 😂😭 really appreciated this thanks!
@@standdownrobots_ihaveoldglory so would you say that it’s probably the Nivea making the difference to my skin then?
James has discussed that Nivea is a brand that because is homophobic he won't use it.When I watched the video where he talks about this and yup... I won't be using Nivea either James💜
@@melodyblackhall6702 Nivea is homophobic? Really?
The Ordinary Argireline is a holy grail anti wrinkle treatment until I die ❤
Ive heard alot about that too... when combined with the matryxil (sorry for spelling!) Do you use that too. Is it better than retinoids.? Tia
@@Efflife.2 I use Nava MD tretinoin, too! The Argireline is for my 11s (between the eyes), forehead wrinkling and eye crinkles. I don't use Matrixyl but you can use Argireline with ANYTHING else, just use it first. ❤️
Thanks for this video James, another great set of recommendations, will be adding to cart now 😀 just a question, have you tried the Inkey Lists new Dewy SPF? If so any thoughts? I really struggle to find SPFs that don't react with my skin 😢 much love to ya
I literally just opened their sunscreen 2 days ago and sat far so good! No stinging, no bothering my rosacea!
@@JamesWelsh awwh that sounds promising then, I have rosacea too so 🤞 thanks James 😊
I have just got that yesterday I already use inkey list glycolic serum , and this is super lovely as long as you don't want dead matt skin
Id love to know what he thinks about Boots Ingredients. They are like similsr to the ordinary but cheaper
Hi James, thank you for always providing us great suggestions for our skincare. I would like to ask if you can suggest me some affordable products (maybe around 20 euros) for dry skin, including Vitamin C, chemical exfoliator, ninaciamide and retinol please? Thank you so much!
A “full empty” of e.l.f toner 😂 James is an optimist. While i would probably say “completely empty”
The water cream is so good!
I found it horrid, but my skin hates most moisturizers.
I order from beauty bay quite often and I've never had any issues with delivery or anything
Thanks for lippies spf recommendation, going to purchase this hello Sunday balm🐽
Marine hylaronics wasn’t good for me didnt do anything to my skin i now use beauty of joseon serums
Love the ordinary retinol personally 🎉
Love you James. Always will xxx
Great video, love your content!
I’d love if you reviewed kikumasamune skincare -
It’s all a touch over this price range but for huge quantities
James~ lets do review for beauty of joseon new suncreen. the gel one
James have you tried the Byoma melting cleansing balm? Need someone to tell me if it's any good before I spend my money!
Love this video!!
James have you tried Cay Skin? They have spf lip balms and I would love to know your thoughts!
I haven’t yet! I was a little put off by the issues with the launch but I might give them a go!
I really wish I wasn't allergic to aloe as that Bubble moisturiser looks amazing!
Honestly aloe is my fave 🥲
I also live in England and I order from beauty bay using next day delivery all the time but I've never had any issues 😅 I guess I'm just lucky 😊
That's a shame about beauty bay, I love their cleansing balm it's very calming. Just recently tried elf and they do not disappoint, love!!
Yeah it frustrating. I did order from them recently. Got my items but there was a delay as always
Hello James 💞 Happy Friday 💞
I haven't personally experienced any issues with beauty bay. I've ordered loads from them recently. Evri on the other hand are my sworn nemesis 😐
i like bubble, but sadly shipping is a bit expensive.
I did like the elf toner at first, though I noticed it was making my skin near my eyes/cheek bones a little red/irritated by the second and third day, which perplexed me. Noticed after looking at the ingredients it has glycolic acid in also (concentration isn't listed though)
I've since gone back to pyungkang yul toner, but It's a shame as I wish I could tolerate the elf one every day with it being so available and cheap!
I had the same experience with the toner irritating my skin. It always made my skin feel dried out and I had no clue why until now! Makes so much more sense knowing it has glycolic acid.
I buy like 3 of those elf pure skin toners at a time hahah
may I ask how sensitive your skin is?
But you got a refund? So why not buy it again and see if you get what you are looking for?
Have you checked out the new Bulldog range?
Oo
Love these ones 😻
Hey James love your videos❤❤❤❤ I love your opinions and why a product is worth buying
Can you or anybody in this comment section please help me I want to start a skin care router morning and night ive tried elemis and liz earle which are not cheap but I have dry and really sensitive skin these ive baught make my skin itch it goes blotchy and stays really oily 😢😢😢😢 so would be grateful for advice and products much love and best wishes to you and all who read this 💖 💗 💕
Beauty Bay customer service is the worst. I have complained about their own product which was really bad, and they told me to never buy from them again 😂 I have respected their request. They aren’t the only retailer in the UK that sells skincare and makeup ffs
Any online store that ships worldwide 😢?
Stylevana took MONTHS to even ship my order. I had to hound them to process the order
You look great babe❤😊
I spie favourites ❤
Superdrug have their own range me+ version too great price and revolution beauty too.
Tips for people who can’t put SPF on their faces at all? My face turns bright red and burns from SPF 😢
Can you cover good molecules plz
