I could be wrong, but I think they mentioned in one of the twin videos that Marcus also edits James' videos and Robert does his own editing. Either that or it's the other way around 😅
You have never led me wrong, James. The Experiment lip balm and their Plasma Wash are my favourite products so far. Thank you for the info about the reedle shot, too. I'd been holding off because I wasn't sure about the spicules dissolving/sloughing off. So many great new things to try next year!
I have been watching you for a few years, and your skin looks the best these past 3 weeks, whatever you are using is really good for your skin. And I really want to try that Purito toner after I finish my Benton Green Tea Toner.
THANK YOU! You and your brother have been so important I guess to an extent because of my depression lately and dealing with losing family members and not knowing how to even grieve…. It’s nice to know I can decompress and watch your content and your brothers and especially the both of you together…. You guys can lift me out of the worst of moods….thank you so much for that. I think I speak for many when I say that your hard work, your dedication to your craft… while also maintaining the ability to be so down to earth… is absolutely refreshing!
The VT Reedle Shot is my favorite product of 2024! I have noticed a big difference in my skin tone and texture. I have all the “colors” from the James Welsh collab and I’m making my way through them. 😁💜
Yes, I was so lucky to get that box! Although I feel like the hydropop doesn't actually have any cica reedle in it. It says 100, but there's no sting or tingle.
It was nice to see no real repeats in terms of “everyone and their aunt Esther” recommends this. You and Robert need to make a trip to Japan! A whole bunch of new stuff to discover there. I think you both would make AMAZING content.
I now have a list of products to try. I took the plunge for vt reedle shot with the color shot collaboration and i just love it. My skin has smoothed out and is just glowing. I am going to try the 300. I will have to look at the medicube mask again as i have been avoiding it due to being a side sleeper. The only sungboon editor i have tried was the meoru podo ampule-i am definitely going to get that pore lifting ampule.
i like to think of myself as a beauty "expert" in terms of being aware of what's out there but i haven't heard of half of these brands! adding a bunch of these products to my wishlist lol

Hi James, I have my favorites from this year, I'm 47 years old I also have rosacea and dry skin, so my favorites are the Haru Haru Wonder essence which is a delight, it is very moisturizing and strengthens my skin barrier, the Benton vitamin C which has 20% ascorbic acid, glutathione, ferulic acid, vitamin E and ectoin, but it is made with propanediol instead of water which makes it last much longer than other vitamin C, the wishtrend gentle exfoliator with 5% mandelic acid and licorice root and 15% azelaic acid which my dermatologist prescribed me and I send it to be prepared and the Eucerin mist which is called hyaluronic acid, but it also has glycerin and panthenol and is very refreshing. Thanks James for your recommendations and have a happy new year 🥳🎉🎉🎉🎉✨✨
Thank you for your reviews!! I got excited for the Shark cryoglow device but it's currently only available in the UK. For those in the US like me, it looks like it will be available some time next year. Happy holidays!!! 🫰❄️🎁🎄🥂🦌🌟⛄
The bringgreen cleanser is unbelievable! I bought it after your kbeauty video (also the Purito toner and Torriden Dive In serum, both fantastic) and I've been loving it so much. I got a double pack on oliveyoung and they're going to last for so long - I've been using it daily for weeks and you need so little of it that I can't see myself getting through even one tube any time soon.
James! You should definitely re-visit the elf cleansing balm. I think they reformulated it. It used to have that plasticy feel, which was hard to break down, like many other underwhelming cleansing balms. But now it takes no effort to break down. It's really moisturizing as well. And the price point is good too! 💜🖤
Always giving the people the recs!! Love the slight shade. People are cool with filler staying in their face and migrating but worried about spicules lol
I got the green tomato ampoule a few weeks ago, and my skin LOVES IT. Thanks for the rec, I have a feeling this is gonna be in my routine for a long time lol
Can confirm re the experiment soft wear lip balm. I struggled with dry, chapped lips. I react in the heat/rain and when my sinuses act up (which us a lot) and this is the only balm that protects, immediately soothes when they burn and gives moisturizer. Im obsessed with it.
I was really interested in the sunscreen looked great in NZ so if fets hot and humidity, but, $65 US, YIKES will try the eye serum sunday one, thinking with silicone eye patches. Your skin looks wonderful as do you
I knew the green tomato ampule had to be in there somewhere! So far, i have been enjoying using the VT Reedle shots (100/300/Reti - A) & I have seen a marked improvement in my (late 50 yr old) skin. Like yourself, I suffer with frequent Rosacea flare-ups... most notably, when going indoors after working outside all day. I once had a Led light treatment session at a clinic & which was mighty expensive. So, the Shark face mask def looks like something worth investing in.
Followed your recommendation on Eqqualberry Swimming Pool toner... WOW!!! I love it! Makes me happy to do my skincare again. Happy New Year! Thanks again for all you do! I am getting back into masking... not there yet but definitely in 2025. Cheers!!
I love these! I am curious to know how you use these in a routine, for example would you use the "micro needling" cream after the evening exfoliating toner. My skin's been breaking out really bad and i need to change my routine, so this is super helpful and i need to know how to use these in a routine. Thanks in advance!
I agree.. w u in the intro .. i felt for some time now that skincare was something i don't wanna talk or hear about bc it became so boring to me.. but this year i discovered a lot of amazing products that brought joy to me again and made my skin better 😊
Just a heads up, on the Prequel barrier cream website it looks like there is a recall, and a waitlist for new product. Yes, I am going through all the products and wishlisting/favoriting them...👀👀👀
the Medicube mask is SO COOL,.I thought it would be so annoying (also a side sleeper) but it's so well done, and my skin feels awesome in the morning . I think I need to put more on tho cause I've never been able to peel it off in large pieces lol.
Amazing list, James! So grateful that I don´t need to look for products separately as you got the whole face covered! Just a quick suggestion - would you maybe consider adding prices next time so we would know if it´s in our budget range before going to look for it on the internet haha
I’m definitely going to try the toner you recommended. I tried tir tir the milky one, and I have sensitive rosacea skin and it caused a burning sensation and little bumps to form on my skin. I was super bummed, but glad I had only purchased the travel size.
I love Prequel-have the whole line EXCEPT the Barrier Therapy bc it’s been recalled. Thoughts on the rest of the line?? Would love a vid about the line❤
It nearly killed me to have to throw out my almost new tube of the Barrier Therapy due to the recall. I love it so much. I got a refund quickly. Prequel is a great brand.
I think my favorite cleanser I've found bas been the Arencia artisan cleanser (also called their mochi cleanser). It's similar to a cleansing balm, but different texture, and has different types depending on skin type and needs. I had been waiting for a while to see if you'd review it this year 😅
I got the current body series 2 mask this year and I love it. It's red light and near infra-red, no blue light, but I don't need blue light so it was great for me. I'm really noticing improvement in my under eye hollows
As a dehydrated dry gal, I would not recommend the binggreen cleanser, it works surely wonder for normal/oily skin, but it is absolutely stripping for my kind of skin type, it triggered my rosacea x10 😅
I’ve never clicked fast enough even knowing I can’t use anything but Cetaphil products because I’m allergic to literally everything 😂. Even if I don’t buy, doesn’t mean I don’t love hearing James talk about something I know absolutely nothing about. ❤
skin looking fabulous for every video! been watching for years! so for the less fortunate can we get the plethora of LED Masks that are not being used for giveaway. lol 💝
James just checked the vitamin c ingredients and that is probably why you can’t exfoliate 2-3 times a week. It has 5acids and enzymes! You are exfoliating daily already!
I don't know if you've already done this but would you please review your subscribers and followers skincare products and routines! I just recently ordered a fully k-beauty skincare regimen and I'd like to know your opinion and what you would add or change ❤
The Sungboon Editor lifting ampoule has done MIRACLES on my hyperpigmentation, especially bc I have suffered from cystic acne on my darker skin. It’s my new all time favorite serum. Idek if it’s formulated for post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, but it’s definitely helped me
James, you look fasntastic! You turned me onto the Sungboon Editor green tomato ampoule - and im never going back! Love it! I want to try the Skin Rocks gentle acid, but do you skip the green tomato ampoule when you use it? Since that also has pha.. Thanks!
I like this new thing with you blurring out one half of the video so we can focus on the other side. Now I'm curious why the background change. It looks like a dermatologist office 😂
The Purito Wonder Releaf toner is very hydrating, it has an immediate plumping effect on me, I love it. Also, someone please correct me if I'm wrong but I think allantoin is pronounced alan-toe-in.
Products that work for you. Purito Toner breaks me out. Tried a lot of skincare this year, they all sucked except BoJ Revive Eye and Numbuzin No.5 they actually removed a nasty dark circle I had around only one eye in about 2mo. 🤷♀️
Some very interesting recommendations! Thanks! As for the red light masks… PLEASE! Why do they cut out for mouth? Don’t you want lip treatment? Lip lines are FRUSTRATING…yet they ignore that . 🤷♀️
Can you help me and tell me what order i should do my night and morning routine. Please. I'm a newbie and trying to teach my daughter how to care for her skin at a young age. Thanks so much!!!
So tempted (although I have multiple lifetimes supply of products). If you had to pick between ILSO Super Melting vs Sungboon Tomato Serum specifically for pores, which would you choose? 🤔
When is shark going to sell the LED masks in the US? I've been trying to figure out which LED mask to buy, and that one is not available as far as I can tell?
This might be excessive but I would LOVE to see a video where you save all of your empty products for the entirety of 2025 and then show us what you used up at the end!
I'm a student and I can't afford the gentle acid. i used glicolic till now but like for james it causes too much irritation. does someone have any advice on what product would work for me? love you james, long time silent follower from Italy 😘
Look for products containing lactic or mandelic acid as they are gentle exfoliating acids. There are lots of inexpensive brands out there containing them. The Ordinary also has a gentle toner called Saccharomyces Ferment milky toner, this uses a yeast ferment which gives a nice gentle exfoliate which is suitable for sensitive skin and with most people can be used everyday.
@ thank you. I know those are great acids for sensitive skin, I was just wondering if there’s any Korean product or some brands that offer a bit more than just the single ingredient. I can drop £20/£30 on it but not £50 if ugm 🙈
Watching this I feel so lost. I have no idea the steps, frequency, when to wash off or keep things on. I have super sensitive combo skin…would love this kind of video but super super SUPER dumbed down! I only use moisturizer right now lol
Just discovered your channel, and of course, couldn't resist buying some of the items on your list. The products at the Olive Young store were easy to get, except they are out of BRINGGREEN Artemisia Cera Calming Moisture pH Balance Cleansing Foam. And the MUIHOOD Good Chi Cleansing Balm is tricky when you live in Canada as they immediately sign you up for a monthtly shipment with a $35 a month shipping cost on top. That's too much., but it leaves me with no cleansing products. What can you suggest for a good Cleansing Balm that's readily available at Sephora or in Canada? Is there an alternative to the Vitamin C Serum that's easier to get in North America? I bought a highly recommended one from Carrot & Stick and didn't like it at all. Threw most of it out. What do you think of Augustine Bader's skin cream?
Have you tried the Rejuran PDRN turnover ampoule topical skincare? It’s getting a lot of talk. Some people say you need to use spicules, micro needle or injection with PDRN but others say this Rejuran skincare is good on its own. I bought it on Amazon - will return if I don’t like it bc it’s $52.
Never thought this day would come, but first time I disagree with something you said. When you talk about the Summer Fridays eye cream you say you can’t put retinol under your eyes. But you absolutely can. I even put tretinoin there. It’s the only ingredient that can stimulate collagen in your skin.
I love the Medicube overnight collagen mask. It does what it claims to do. That VT Reedleshot 100 I had to throw out. My skin would get these deep pimples after using it. I haven't tried the rest of this. Not sure I have the same skin type, as I struggle more with crepey neck skin and not anything else. No oily skin. No rosacea. Not solving problems so much as maintaining in my 50s.

@ thank you. I know those are great acids for sensitive skin, I was just wondering if there’s any Korean product or some brands that offer a bit more than just the single ingredient. I can drop £20/£30 on it but not £50 if ugm 🙈
As much as I love Korean skincare, I think Juno cleansing balm is my favorite.
Watching this I feel so lost. I have no idea the steps, frequency, when to wash off or keep things on. I have super sensitive combo skin…would love this kind of video but super super SUPER dumbed down! I only use moisturizer right now lol
James! Have you tried the age r booter pro?
Dumb question, but in what order do I use products?
I watched the video from 5 years ago, but has anything changed?😊
There’s a recall on the Prequel.
Houttuynia Cordata is heartleaf i believe
Yes. I was coming here to say that lol
