Interesting. Now that you’ve mentioned it, I think I’m seeing it with the cap1 and 2 420d material as well, between the solution dyed black and burnt orange. Which do you prefer?
@@Pack_roam in the backpack format I like the softer solution dyed black. In the CAP1 format it’s not as big of a difference for me personally. I still love the burnt orange color way though in the CPL!
Good reveiw review of the bag. How does an 18.5 inch bag feel to you? That size is usally a toss up for me, How would you comapre this against the M23? I compare fit for most bags against the 26L GR1.
Thanks! It feels small to me, too small. I think it looks too small on me as well. I prefer the M23 over the CPL right now. It definitely feels like a bigger bag, and it is because I’ve been using the 26L, but it feels more compact to me than the GR1 26L. The more I use the M23, the more I’ve grown to like it. I gave my son the 21L M23, I may have to trade him for a bit and see how the 21L feels to me.
@@Pack_roam my only complaint with the 21L M23 was I could feel the laptop when it was in the compartment. They are supposed to have waxed canvas versions coming out in March.
@@Duanewrites I figured it was coming. I’m going to have to save some room in the budget for the waxed canvas. What are the odds they put cobra buckles on it?
@@Pack_roam it’s possible. I’m wondering what it’s going to cost with upgrades? I just bought a 15 inch MacBook Air and I was surprised that it won’t fit in the 21L M23’s laptop compartment.
Thanks for the video. I have the 1000F 26L GR1 that I want to replace. Get something a little softer and more for office work but also want the versatility. I do like how I can throw anything I want in the gr1 though and I’m not sure if I want to give that up. The civic half zip 26L seems like an interesting alternative too.
I'm also a fan of the 26L GR1. I tried the CHZ 26, the only thing I didn't like was it can be difficult getting a laptop in and out if the bag is full.
The GR1 26L is typically the bag I measure all other bags against. Although I have found myself carrying the M23 26L more often now, which is still a much bigger bag than the CPL24. I haven’t used the CHZ, but wouldn’t want to give up a dedicated laptop compartment.
Great video.. I'm on the fence with this bag I got the Alpaka elements Pro a bit ago vs this and the material is nice but it's very stiff. I think I'm going to pull the trigger on this one in solution dyed black. I must have watched 20 videos on this bag and its probably my favorite.....
Awesome! Thanks! 🙏🏻 Glad you liked the video. I do really like the CPL. Brought it along last week for a work trip and used it for back and forth to the plant everyday. Such a great bag for daily carry. I haven’t used the ALPAKA Elements Pro, but have one inbound.
Owning both the burnt orange and the solution dyed black I can say the solution dyed black fabric on the CPL is a lot less crinkly and not as rigid.

@@SteveWinward Appreciate your insights. I do like the burnt orange as well. So many of my bags are black, wanted something different.

@@Duanewrites Good question. For sure it’s going to cost more than I should spend, lol. That is surprising on the Air.

CTB26 is an awesome alternative. The Bellroy transit workpack 20L is also a good option for a lighter and for the "no water bootle" fans .
