This is my work bag. I work from home full time, but will work at a coffee shop once a week. It perfectly holds my travel work setup and fits well. I’m 5’4” so I know exactly what you mean about big bags.
I am super stoked to discover your channel, i do get a kick out of watching edc reviews even if i have noooo intention of buying anything and i think yours might just be one of the best I’ve found. Entertaining, informative and it helps that you’re not “some math teacher looking dude” who are all super cool but variety is the spice of life.
LOL it has come to my attention that I am in a lot of niches where it's mainly white dudes, math teacher looking dudes haha so I'm glad to add a little spice and diversity :) I have another list video coming up (camping, picnic), you may find entertaining - I also have a whole EDC list video I just released recently
A very detailed review. Every other review I saw just mentions that "it will fit a 14'' laptop" but nobody actually specifies what kind of laptop they are using. Since this bag is small, fitting dimensions are important.
@@mannykhan7752 I am clearly not every other reviewer 😉 thanks for checking it out! If you get it, consider the affiliate links, helps a ton for small creators like myself and come back and share your experience!
i preordered this backpack. only down side is no outside water bottle spot. i also been using the badge system, you said its large, its not when it stays on my belt. great setup, can't wait for v2
Cool. I have the Aer X-Pack Tech at 14L. I am a minimalist and sometimes want to just bring my laptop. This video was more detailed than most I have seen. Been on the fence with this one and now I am not. Thanks.
Great Review. I've been looking at a small 15L or less bag instead of my large sling for days when I just take the iPad. I'm a big fan of the hub system, but you are right, the clip is on the larger side.
Great review. Thank you. I'm considering the Elements Pro, but I don't think I need that much space for everyday carry. I like how you jammed it full to show the potential. Keep up the good work.
I found an edc bolt action pen on ebay for $20 US all metal. It should last 100 years. I agree always say a pen with you. It would go nice with the backpack.
This vid is one of the many reviews I watched about this bag and I'm thankful for the amount of info and showcase! Just bought mine as well. It's my work backpack. I'm into pouches inside my bag for organization and agree that it's enough for the daily essentials. Also, it's perfect for my size (I'm around ~5ft girlie😢) I don't look like a turtle or smthing lol Looking into the hub system as well. I hate grabbing my ID in the exterior compartment.
The turtle comment 🐢 lol I relate! I have a few extra inches over you and it helps but still not enough that a lot of bags make me look like a lost child

I carry the same for work in the office. This looks like the bag for me. My current bag is an Aer lunar pack 20l and it's toooo big for what I carry everyday
ya same for my Bellroy transit workpack, I actually don't go into an office anymore but I am constantly rotating between my Bellroy backpack and this one for different uses, they just work so well and look sleek
@@GadgetsGearCoffee It has a much better price than the able carry 13, looks more business and less "sporty" and also has the "quick access" zipper at the back, like the able carry 13. But for now, I have my new backpack already. I will definitely keep Alpaka on my list of backpacks to check if I still want another size in the future. If I had found this video before, I would potentially now own the metro... I was about to buy the Able Carry 13 in X-Pac a few weeks ago, to have a small day pack. I just wanted something small if ever i go to office (also work remotely) or if I go just somewhere else and need just some basics for me or the dog (water, some food etc). ~13 Liter just felt right for that. Also I wanted it small because it looks silly to bring a big backpack for those few things, and you always look like traveling ;) Able Carry is difficult to get in Europe. There is a shop that asks 209€ (~230USD) for it. Furthermore, the 13l was quite the lower limit (like you said, headset maybe small BT keyboard and food, and it is hitting the limit hard already) so I saw they also have the able carry daily 20 Liter for 160€ (~175 USD) but no x-pac After some research, I found the Wexley Stem 17L which is between the Able carry 20L and the 13L, it was made of x-pax x42 AND was available in France for 130 USD. People go crazy because they call it a clone, but I like it, the quality is nice. It checked all boxes and if comfortably fits everything I need for office. Still a liiiiitle bit too big for the daily basics, but for now, I am good. BTW when following your link: the Elements Tech Brief Pro looks ALMOST perfect (as you said, there is no "perfect bag") for my needs if it's just for the office (just no space for a water bottle?)
I just checked for you and it should fit just fine! there is extra room, it may be a bit "looser" in the laptop compartment even because it's thinner. If you do get it, please consider my affiliate link for purchase and please come back and share your experience! Thanks!
Great review. I have the hub system and lost the card holder. Had it on the clip and on my waistband, arrived home and realized my card case was gone. I was left with just the clip on my pants😢
no way, must've have been super unlucky and the tab got caught because I have TRIED many times to unhook it in tests and IRL and leave the card holder on even though I rarely use it as I use the bag for more things than office runs. Thought about using the clip on my pants when I get to the office but that clip is just too big and bulky I rather just throw it in my pocket
Really like this bag as I only bring a few items to the office. However, my current laptop is 36cmx24cm. Will it still be able to fit in the laptop sleeve?
the 36cm may be just a tad too tight as the bag starts the curve at the end, I haven't reviewed it yet but they're sending me a bag, this would do the trick, the FAQ confirms it bit.ly/3Bc9inU
You're cool, the review was cool, that bag is cool, I'm cool with it, are we cool? Cool. I have one of these things on its way to my life, hopefully in a week or so I can give actual feedback. I actually got the 8th Anniversary Edition which is even cooler, if you like orange accents and velcro patch customization. I keep watching videos on this bag just to get me hype for when mine arrives and this was probably the most entertaining one I've watched so far. Thanks. Peace.

Screws damage the walls more than double sided tape. If you plan to remove it, you can get rid of residue with alcohol hand sanitizer
