Is it possible that The Jenny Jones Show people knew this and were baiting him to come out on air to get a double surprise? I don't know why some people want their deeply private matters be shown in public. When dealing with such raw emotions, people can react in so many unpredictable irrational ways. Basically they played with fire and got burned badly.

Something about the kids acting felt more natural (like it matters). Slower, deliberate... like he would be medicated - which makes sense.
