I was shocked by this how can someone do this to their child.
That was a pretty bad jump cut from the hospital room to the station. 😅
People sacrifice their children all the time and feel justified for it because their parents brought the in the world
I kept thinking that at any moment the courtroom would go dark, a spotlight would hit Lisa Lisa, and her band would appear out of nowhere jamming. Or at least I hoped. 😀
I didn't see that coming at all. That's so effed up...
Before how the parents react when the truth is revealed for them actually setting him up for abuse. There's two clues that suggest they never really cared about him, both being during the court case, first with Monty's ex-associate saying that the mother never really looked unhappy and was actually having a good time away from Sam on the little vacation, then when she says Monty seemed trustworthy despite wanting to be alone with her son. And then you place with how they said he was molested only one time as if it was never a big deal, you got the worst parents ever featured on television.
Every time I kept hearing the word bender.... Me and my futurama mind...
BENDER! BEEEEENNNNNDER!
BENDER! BEEEEENNNNNDER!
SPELL B E N DEEERRRRREEERRR!!!
The look on his face, good acting
I love Law and Order, I’m a huge fan. Please post the Law and Order from Season 8 episode : Divorce when The Lawyers got into a debate and the Male lawyer had the manipulative female set up to confessing to killing that Counselor who involved in the divorce of a couple. Then in Court the Victim’s Husband yelled at the female lawyer on how could she be sorry just to win a divorce case. That was epic.
Jill Clayburgh was Great
Missing Context. First, they show Monty getting arrested, and then John and Lucy are on trial. What happened to Monty.
My children always come first always never ever would I sell my child for money ever even if one of my child was dieing it's unimaginable to do this evil act dear god....
4:25 I wonder if I take you home 🎶(if you're a POC from the 80's ,you'll get that 😊)
That is so wrong of them . I'd didn't get it until the end.
That was a weird way for that cop to talk to that woman.
This is the one episode of Law & Order that stayed with me for a long time afterwards.
I also thought it was sick when people have another child just to save their sick child but this, these parents sold one of their kids to save a sick kid
This television show is amazing it teaches crime doesn't pay
I had this happen to me but without money involved. My mother liked my sister better, so I was left with grandpa, who had sexually assaulted her. Between the ages of 3-6, I was left to placate him while grandma, my sister and mother would go shopping.
I know my dad suspected something, because dad couldn’t stand him; but his work kept him away. When he was home, I stayed with him.
🥺
I'm so sorry ❤❤❤❤
Are they in prison where they belong?
Thanks for posting this episode!
The moment you realize the mother is played by Lisa Lisa of Lisa Lisa and The Cult Jam.
I need the full epi
03:22 Angel! How's Dexter?
Omg now I have to see the whole episode. You cut off to soon
For anyone wondering what happens next, Sammy asks to testify again and sends Mommy and Daddy Dearest away for a long time. Monty is arrested in front of a phalanx of reporters.
American medical system: sell your kid to be able to pay for an operation.
WOW. I wasn't expecting that ending. I knew things didn't seem right with them per se. But I honestly wasn't expecting that.
Why was the baby thrown out of the window in the first place? Why was the baby there with them?
Monty adopted the child, there was a fire and the guy held the baby outside so the baby wouldn't breath in the smoke and the child fell , it was an accident that eventually uncovered the real crime
@@kdohertygizburThank you. I was so confused as to what a fire and a baby falling out a window had to do with that poor boy being sold to monty.
What makes me so sad is he actually forgave his parents when he thought they took the money after what happened. He understood they needed they needed it for his little brother and he gave up ever getting justice for his little brother’s life. But the fact they they basically prostitued him out to a pervert broke him.
I know this is just TV for fact parents have done this to tell your child to a predator knowing what he was going to do with him is beyond evil beyond anything in this planet or universe they may have saved their second child from death but their sacrifice the other my God which is even more evil
Does this story sound familiar?
mj?
Law and order Svu did one too I think it was called sick
Oh my god wtf ?? they sold their own son to a perv ?! That’s fucked up u really can’t trust any own even your own blood 💔what’s sad is this shot happens in real life to
Sammy asks to testify again and sends Mommy and Daddy Dearest away for a long time. Monty is arrested in front of a phalanx of reporters.
honestly it depends on the parents and relationship to their child. Also anyone can lie and get away if they try to protect that lie to the grave.
I doubt that this specific scenario has ever happened in real life.
😳 OMG!! I remember this episode. Sadly, this happens more often than any of us want to admit. In my opinion, the parents deserve an even harsher punishment than the child abuser. Crimes like this make me wish for public executions.
In this instance however what would happen if they got the wrong person 😞 There have been exonerated by DNA evidence among others who would have been executed if that State had the death penalty!
I don’t think there are all that many parents who arrange for their own child to be brutalised for money because the golden child needs it.
There are plenty of parents who hurt kids or even sell them to pedophiles… but not to get money for another kid. They want the money for themselves.
That’s a unique twist - selling one kid to be abused to save the other.
I had a landlady who sold her boy. He was 12 but looked 9. I didn't have to testify but I did talk with the agents. That was way back. So yes it does happen.
I’m looking for the ending scene
He testified against Mommy and Daddy Dearest and the other guy got arrested in front of a phalanx of reporters
Those parents are freaking sick Blessed Be.
jesus the writing in this show. incredible.
Was not expecting that ending 😮
I remember this episode snd my jaw dropped w/ this scene.
DISGUSTING! Why are they not charged with sexual abuse of a minor!
At first I think it was just a tactic to get them to turn against Monty. It wasn't until that moment that McCoy realized the extent of their depravity. By the way, Sammy asks to testify again and sends Mommy and Daddy Dearest away for a long time. Monty is arrested in front of a phalanx of reporters.
They are charged. They are charged with conspiracy to commit child sexual abuse, and convicted.
This has to be loosely based on Michael Jackson right? I didn’t think of it until I read the video description, what other explanation do you have for linking a baby, a hotel balcony, and a celebrity diddling kids away from the city in a special place?
I think so yeah.
00:12 can anyone read his jacket? it looks like it says NYBD. at first I thought it was nyfd because maybe they couldn't use fdny, but then i saw the other jackets and obviously they do use nypd. so now I'm more confused. there's no NYBD, NYED. so whats up with his jacket?
Nyfd as is new york fire department
@@ineffable_eldritch_horror131yeah, I looked up the history and it's weird. I was confused because they call themselves the fire department of new York. But use the lettering nyfd. I know in movies/Tv they sometimes switch up the letters to get away with the laws but apparently it's just a weird new York thing. After a big fire they changed the name but kept the lettering. Or something like that.
My god this is brutal. How does someone ever recover from that? People can be absolute soulless monsters, especially when it comes to money.
None of this needed to happen. They already had the check. Could have just kept the money and not sent their kid. What was he gonna do? Go to police?
Where can I buy this episode?
Not sure, but I know how to watch it for free. By the way: Sammy asks to testify again and sends Mommy and Daddy Dearest away for a long time. Monty is arrested in front of a phalanx of reporters.
Love Law and Order
😊😊 ❤❤
How could someone do that to anyone, let alone their own child 😢
What season ang episode please? Thank you.
