I've lived up the hill from DUMBO in Brooklyn Heights for many years now and, unfortunately, DUMBO has exploded into a tourist cesspool w/ overpriced food. I recommend walking a but east to Vinegar Hill and checking out some of the hidden gems in that tiny neighborhood. Or come up to BK Heights next time!
I love watching your videos, even though I won‘t be in NY anytime soon. A great inspiration to go and explore my own hometown‘s culinary world! Oh and btw, beautiful wristwatches, the Seiko and the Orient are a perfect two-watch-collection, true classics, in high regard by even the most serious watch collectors!
Thank you! Yeah, I love my watches. Even though they're nothing fancy compared to something like a Rolex or a Patek, I still love them and they're great timepieces!
@@Jamesnu That goes to show that style and class (and appreciation of nice watches) doesn‘t require Rolex or Patek. And no matter what price range is on your wrist - be it Seiko or Richard Mille - congrats on your nice work here and best wishes from Germany!
Nice spread. I usually look to find new places in DUMBO and I'll put these places on my Yelp list. I usually visit Luke's Lobster, it's a little shack right under the Brooklyn Bridge, the Lobster Rolls are pretty good. And then I usually hit up Ignazio's across the street, great slice shop.
Nice vid. I live in Thailand and am shocked at the price for noodles. Nice Thai shout-out at 4:48 🏝 6:25 Don't skip arm-day, bro. Was in DUMBO two years ago and only had lunch at Grimaldi's.

@@Jamesnu My situation is likely even worse. I am originally from Europe. Long ago, cruel destiny forced me to come to the usa where I've lived in North Eastern PA and near Chicago, not far from Waukegan and Libertyville. But, the average locals here can't really cook and have no clue of what good food is. When you mention cheese, they think of Velveeta or American slices. (Enough said, LOL, sad, but true) I am fortunate, because I do know how to cook and bake and am able to make bread and even very nice pastries. although some ingredients needed for certain dishes are some times not available.
