I can relate so much to your academic struggles. And I also had a sort of breakdown after leaving Uni- after scraping a pass after missing all my deadlines and having to hand it all in the following Autumn, and then leaving it all to the last minute again!

      Hi there Cathmack6403.
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment on my video :) it means a lot to have support from people who I can relate to.
I'm sorry that you relate to the more rubbishy parts of this video.- academic life is a dual edged sword for me! I LOVE learning but the deadlines and restrictions created a bit of a prison for me. Totally understand where you are coming from.
I hope you are feeling better now and have the support you need to keep on being fabulous.
      Em x

i get what u mean with the "pretentious" part however, i see it more like u wanted to be happy and at that point in live that is how it looked too u. so no judgement more like exploration of life u make mistakes and grow as a person and learn from the past. this was interesting understanding the past like this is also like reconecting with your self and telling it was okay instead of blaming yourself . have been recconecting as well not always easy but it realy helps

That's a very accurate observation; I definitely equated happiness with wealth, travel and intelligence as a young person. I still do on some level, I think, but I am now more self-aware and able to see the value of other things!
Reconnecting with your past self and forgiving them/coming to understand why you were that way is such an important and valuable task - doesn't always make it easy though! You should be proud that you are also taking that on and learning from it :)

How on earth did you get so far back in time on Facebook? I scrolled & scrolled & scrolled and only got back to Oct of last year, maybe 6 months… I’d be here a week trying to go back to 2010!

If you go to your "activity log" on Facebook you should be able to use filters to go back to dates all the way back to when you first got Facebook! :)

I am intrigued about the speech and language option. Might be worth considering again after a period of time stabilised on the ADHD medication. I am an ex teacher trained in an allied healthcare field. Imo much better option for the neuro driverse

Perhaps consider a bit of volunteering with Headway if its still a consideration

      Heya :)
Thank you for your comment and continued support of my channel! It means a lot.
I don't think I will be pursuing the Speech and Language Therapist route in my life now, perhaps in another universe I am, but I'm actually quite settled in the career path I now follow in the not-for-profit/third sector. Redundancy aside, things are going well for me in that field.
It's interesting that you are also an ex-teacher - I guess the job has given you lots of transferable skills that you can use in your current career, like me!
Hoping you have a brilliant weekend, thanks again :)

There's no judgement from me for poor spelling and grammar! Language is complex and interesting and DIFFICULT! Keep doing you :)
Thank you for your continued support of my channel - it means a lot.
