      1000% right... I want to see one like my mockup... would be so cool to see a neon grean and purple XP Spark come back... thanks for watching ✌

    I have owned 6 PWCs in my life and the 96 Sea Doo XP was by far the most fun. Those skis are so light and powerful which makes them tossable and wild fun. Your last 95 XP video gave me major nostalgia. My 21 Trixx has the most comparable fun to the 96 XP and its my current favorite to throw around waves. A little more power would be great but I don't want it to sacrifice weight increase with bigger engine or reliability issues with a turbo.

    • @classicjetskis
      @classicjetskis  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Agree with everything you have said there... I want a go on a 800 95 or 96 xp so bad...in love with my 717 so can only imagine how good the 800 is... the trixx 90 is a lot of fun don't get me wrong, there isn't anyone I know that wants to be out-dragged by a 30year old Seadoo... essentially when your paying 10k to get a new trixx vs 1-2k on an old xp... Thanks for watching dude ✌

      So agree, I used to have one, and now all the new skis are heavy and no where near as much fun, I want my old XP back

    For skidoo there snowmobile brand they have had a 900 ace turbo r for a couple years and they reliable extract 190hp out of them and there snowmobile chassis are very tight for there 4 stroke motors and they make them work no problem. That’s definitely what motor I think they might put in there.

    • @classicjetskis
      @classicjetskis  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I hear you dude... I have seen the motor you're referring to and like you, hope this is what they put in the coming year spark... I think they will do it but at the moment they are selling the new shape spark just on the merit of the aesthetic/feature redesign alone... hopefully we get the faster version next or year after but I could see it being much later than that sadly... Also I think the issue with putting a turbo version of the 900 ace in the spark vs a snowmobile, is people wave jump sparks 3-4 meters and the impact on a turbo might be holding it back from the spark application...We have seen the issues with the mod turbo kits on the current spark where you cant jump them, as the turbo and the way its mounted has too much stress on it.... I know people jump snowmobiles but not to the same degree we jump skis...
      Fingers crossed, but in the meantime 2 strokes 😍😍
      Thanks for watching dude 👌

    Speaking on engine possibilities, with any BRP product (Seadoo, Skidoo and Canam) I think you always need to look at what is currently being produced in all of the other BRP brands as well. Specifically Can am just released a 1000cc 3 cylinder to replace the 900 Ace turbo in some of their premium X3 models. I think that would likely be the most sensible choice for Seadoo instead of engineering a turbo or supercharger for the existing 900 ace platform. Granted there would still be a significant amount of engineering necessary, this engine may be the ~120hp spark customers want.

    • @classicjetskis
      @classicjetskis  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Intresting insights dude, thanks for sharing... I know there was talk of the 2 stroke 800 they use in the snow mobiles... I really hope its a case of running out of time vs a business decision because they're scared that if they give the spark more power, it will make those big heavy HPC machines a harder sell at 27k.Thanks for watching.

    • @evansimon33
      @evansimon33 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would love to see a new Ski doo 850cc ~160hp two stroke in a jet ski but I think that dream is long gone with current legislation and policies by governments. I tend to think they ran out of time or a quick money grab to show they have done something and get some quick cash from spark owners looking for an upgrade. I would still hold faith a new engine or more powerful one may come in the future because there are options available within BRP.

  • @tylerledrew3116
    @tylerledrew3116 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    I believe the 900 ace should stay with either a turbo or a centrifugal supercharger. Bump the power to 120-130 right out the gate. Id rather that than a bigger 1630 block to be honest.

    • @classicjetskis
      @classicjetskis  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Fair comment a turbo would be lighter for sure, whereas the 1630 could mess the overall weight! That said a 1630 even on its lowest HP map, would make the spark an animal vs using a turbo and more strain on the 900 ace... I would be happy with a turbo if like what they have done with the 325 on the 1630 for the RXPX and they're reengineering vital bits on the 900 engine to deal with the additional stress...
      Thanks for watching dude 👌👍

    • @classicjetskis
      @classicjetskis  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      NOS? 😳 really… tell me more 😂 I still want a spark x… a stock manufactured 150hp spark would be goals… I don’t want to have to spend 5k on mods go do 60mph when I can do 63mph on my 1999 gsx 951 stock 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

  • @evanbergman574
    @evanbergman574 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    You bring up the turbo brings a lot of stress on the motor. What is different about the spark motor vs x3 motor in the sxs internals? I’ve wondered this for a while

    • @classicjetskis
      @classicjetskis  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Interesting you should ask this question, a good friend of mine recently sent me a BRP LYNX snowmobile setup with the 900 ace stock turbo configuration, which BRP already have nailed in a snow mobile....I can see by the way they have positioned the turbo, that they have resolved the aftermarket mod kit issue, of stress on the way its mounted. The issue I think at the moment with the spark hull, is its too small to fit it in in this configuration, as the top of the engine is much wider... if you think of a spark hull, its wider at the bottom nearer the bond line.. I'm guessing in a snow mobile set up, there is more room to house it... As for aftermarket turbo kits... my point was mainly around the fact from everything I have read and everyone I have spoken to, they say whilst it gives you more top end, what you sacrifice in terms of not being able to truly wave jump it any more, due to the mounting issue I mentioned above... plus the likely reduction in engine longevity, isn't worth it when these kits can cost half as much as a machine... IMO waiting for a Seadoo/BRP lead production turbo model is the way to go. You will have all the warranty there to protect the early teething issues and they will be coming at it from their understanding of the stock turbo variant they already have on the 900 ace turbo, LYNX snow mobile engine... There are good things to come for sure, but for now I think its a waiting game... imagine spending 4-5k on a turbo kit on the current spark and then Seadoo bringing out a 900ace stock turbo model... it would be soul destroying... It will happen trust me. Thanks for watching dude ✌

    • @classicjetskis
      @classicjetskis  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I would be happy with 130hp... for me it just needs to do 60mph and then its perfect... it doesn't need to be stupid performance just more than 50-52mph which an old xp can do! Thanks for watching 🙌💪

    Is it true the "Trixx Mode" has submarine mode? If so any videos out there?

    • @classicjetskis
      @classicjetskis  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have heard this also, but honestly don't really know, there isn't a lot of ride footage out yet, I have only seen @truckking review and he wasn't riding it hard to see a Trixx mode... IMO the trixx mode will just be ECU related to give more low end torque... As we know the original 90hp spark can be remapped easily to give more power, so think Seadoo will be harnessing that out the box... as in 'touring mode, sports mode and the new trixx mode'
      Thanks for watching dude 🙌✌

    They should just bring back the old sizing for the RXT and RXPs… they’re unnecessarily long now, just so you can fit their LinQ accessories. The wasted space at the back just blows my mind.
    I owned the RXP 255 and it was far more nimble and easier to jump than the new RXPs, despite the power difference. The 2023 RXP is longer than the 2009 RXT… crazy

    • @classicjetskis
      @classicjetskis  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Totally agree, the 2004-2007 ish era of RXP wasn't much bigger than my 951 XPDI but a beast of a machine... the increase in size IMO has all been about rider compliance and taking away the rider skill needed.... sure to go fast on a T3 2024 you need strength etc, but far less than riding a 951 fast around a course! I do like the LinQ on the newer spark as no size increase, but now cleverly integrated but yes on the RXP and RXTX they intentionally make the rear longer which looks odd and turns them into a boat! Thanks for watching dude ✌

    • @hodurova
      @hodurova 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Have a 2006 rxp and is my favorite. I sold my 2021 rxt. It was a boat so I bought a boat and keep the gen 1 rxp

    • @classicjetskis
      @classicjetskis  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Makes sense to me... Thats why for me the spark is the only modern ski I think size wise is acceptable... the issue is its 90hp and my GSX is 130hp and does 63mph... RXP's are great, however for me I love the simplicity of 2 strokes... I'm not a big fan of the older superchargers... the newer supercharges are much better but older ones you have to be super on it with maintenance. Thanks for watching dude

  • @glenbaucom3920

    How about an updated modernized version of the 3d? I've owned 3, one in the shop now, one had a bad mpem (and almost impossible to find parts) , one got put up on the rocks and sold for parts. I think the 3d was a great idea, and the spark also. Yes I agree the spark does need more hp, the only reason I haven't bought one.

    • @classicjetskis
      @classicjetskis  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ok so interesting story, I was offered a brand new 3D last year in its orginal Seadoo box from 03... at the time I was on the fence... the reality of the 3D is its an acquired taste... kind of the same as my XPDI, you either love it or hate it (I love it) me personally I know 0 about the 3D and not a classic that I think fits in my line up, as never honestly wanted one...
      The reason I got the spark is because its honestly the only modern day ski thats comparable to the XP... maybe a jetblaster but to me, the spark does everything better than a jetblaster...anyway I digress.
      Like you I want more HP from the spark but I think for now, Seadoo with the Gen 2 spark have made no noise as to more HP...plus the gen 1 spark IMO is the better looking of the 2 gens, even if the new gen spark has some nice new, better features..
      Thanks for watching 🙌

      Totally agree. I rode my 05' 3D for 12 seasons and loved it. Only got rid of it cause it was a 2 stroke that was neededing to be refreshed - and parts were getting super hard to find. Traded up to a Kawi 17" SXR 1500 stand up and then converted it to a fixed steer. Riden the kawi for the last 3 seasons, but contemplating trading for the 24' trixx 1up. Tough to trade down for a new machine with 60% of the HP I'm riding now. Powers super but not having even a rudimentary seat, like the moto seat that the 3D had, makes for a tiring ride at the lake,.

    900 ace turbo engine is available in the skidoo all they need to do is modify the manifold so the turbo sit behind the engine

    My 1998 xp came with 130 from the factory and yet the brand new sparks can’t even come close to its power and speed I had 2 sparks run up beside be on the lake in premium conditions I walked away from them like they were swimmers lol too be fair I have a jet kit spark arestors insted if the garbage air box and a solas prop she’s in the 65 mph on the old crapy gauge not sure what the actual is but I’d take a nice xp Any day the rxp is fast my brother has one but theres no charm or excitement that the light weight xp gives and if I bored stroked and higher comp I’d be just fine forever

    • @classicjetskis
      @classicjetskis  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Agree 100% with all you said there... this is one of my core arguments I have literally sent to Seadoo... how can 30 year old skis out perform your current day equivalent... keep in mind your XP 98 at 130 isn't even the best bit.... a 96 717 xp does 54 on calm water... and the power band is every bit as quick as the new sparks... so its actually worse than your 130hp example... even older smaller engine xps are comparable...
      Don't get me wrong I think the spark is the perfect platform for Seadoo to introduce a bigger engine... they just haven't...The spark with a bigger engine would be near perfect, as that VTS is ace!

      Let me introduce you to the world of 2 strokes! A Seadoo XP 951 was 130hp and had a top speed of 63mph... it was the relative same size as a spark but far more tippy and that my friend was a true performance ski that required total rider capability, it was iconic and still holds its own to this day... A 150hp spark would finally bring back rider skill and give T3 riders a true test... Even pro riders talk about how the new bigger t3-st3 hulls are easy to ride fast.... Thanks for watching...
